Naruto Remnants of the World That Once Was

Everything seemed to go wrong from the minute he woke up but the situation Naruto found himself in, he decided nothing could top that.

It all started when team 7 was paired up with team 8. Not only did he have to deal with SakuraÆs attempts at wooing Sasuke when she wasnÆt training, now he had to deal with InoÆs bitchiness but he could tune them out. Their C-rank they were assigned was simple enough, guard a few archeologists while they dig through some ruins but his plan didnÆt really work when his sharp hearing kept on focusing on the bickering between his crush and her rival but listening to their bickering was preferable to the horrors his eyes currently laid upon.

The archeologists were dead, two whose bodies were literally ripped open while the other three seemed to have disappeared in a pool of blackness. His teammates, Ino and Sakura, had suffered the same fate and he wasnÆt sure if they were alive or not. Chouji had his guts ripped out and as he stared at the black, skeletal figure standing in front of him, his hand gripped on his neck, he had a feeling he was next and yet, as he stared into the black eyes of his assailant, he wondered why he wasnÆt.

He could feel the cold breath flow across his face as the being stared at him. He could almost see almost slight movement of eyes, almost like he was looking him over. Suddenly, his grip on his neck tightened and was pulled closer. This was it, he thought, he would meet his end.

ôSixàeightàtwoàö

He only had a secondÆs confusion before he was promptely dropped onto his butt and saw the figure turn around, ignoring the unconscious Kakashi before he headed for a wall where a large pool of blackness appeared and he stepped in. However, to his utter and pleasant surprise, after he went in, the two female teammates that were previously absorbed shot out and landed on the ground. Instinting kicking in, he pushed his terror aside and rushed up to them, noting the paleness of their skin, like they been in the cold for a long time, and tried to help them but even as he wrapped his jacket and a blanket he found nearby around them, the creatureÆs last words came back to him and he couldnÆt help but think of something very familiar about those three numbers.

Sakura woke up with a start and a scream, her face plastered with sweat as her hair clung to it. Her breaths came in ragged as her mind remembered the grinning, almost laughing, face of the old man that had taken her prisoner not a couple weeks ago. She had no idea why she was suddenly and unexpectedly released, both her and Ino dropped down from the floor and out from the wall. She was at least thankful that Naruto was there to comfort them as the experience left them mentally drained.

Her body stopped shaking as she regained control of her faculties, letting her hands move her hair out of the way. She was at least thankful that she was on leave as she knew that she wouldnÆt be able to really function as she needed. A deep sigh left her lips as she shook her head, tyring to clear her thoughts. She would sometimes see that face whenever she closed her eyes, seeing that grinning, bony face staring at her and she was sure her friend was in the same position. A low moan left her lips as she shook her head again, deciding that she wasnÆt going to get back to sleep anytime soon, she got up and got ready for the day. She wanted to pay a visit to Ino to see how she was doing dealing with this and dealing with the loss of a teammate.

However, fate seemed to have decided otherwise as Sakura went to her door to head downstairs for breakfast, a pool of blackness, the same one that the Old Man sucked her into, quickly appeared on her door and a hand shot out and grabbed her neck, pulling her into the pool and back into the vast nothingness that was the Old ManÆs realm.

OoOoOoO

The passage of travel left Sakura dazed and confused. The only thing she knew is that it was dark and she was sitting on something rough. It didnÆt take her long to recover but when she did, and she noticed exactly where she was, horror started to fill her mind as she realized where she was. ôOh no no no no no no no, not again, not this again.ö Fear motivating her, she immediately stood up and looked around. Unlike last time where she was deposited into a room, now she found herself in a hallway with darkness on both sides. Suddenly, there was a scream to her right and she jerked away, her eyes staring down the hallway while her ears strained to listen but all she could hear was the blood pounding in her ears. Her feet started taking her back, her mind telling her to run and to get out of this place.

However, after taking a few steps back, her back suddenly hit something and before she could stop herself, she looked up and, to her horror, found the skeletal face of the Old Man staring down at her. She screamed in fright and ran, ran as fast as her legs could take her down the opposite side of the hallway. She didnÆt dare look back, all she could do was run but suddenly the entire space shifted and she ended up screeching to a halt before she ended up falling off the edge of a cliff. Slowly she backed up, feeling her heart pound in her chest. She wished that this nightmare would end already, wanting nothing more than to wake up in her nice and warm bed.

A chill went up her back and she swerved around but saw nothing there. Her throat bobbed as she gulped, her feet instinctually taking a step back as she looked upon the vast darkness. She hated this place. She was terrified here and she had no idea what was going on or what was around the next corner. She felt so alone here, so vulnerable and she hated it. Suddenly, she heard a dark chuckle before her and she turned, only having a chance to let out a short scream before the Old ManÆs hand shot out and grabbed her throat and she couldnÆt help the heavy shudder that flowed through her. His hand felt incrediablely cold and her neck felt like it was dying but that was nothing compared to what she felt when she looked into his eyes. She felt like her life was being drained away in those black holes but at the same time, felt like he was staring straight at her. ôWhaàwhat a-are y-you?ö That seemed to produce another chuckle out of him. A whimper came out of her mouth as her body started to struggle as she saw his free hand extended and reaching for her but her struggles was lackluster as his grip seemed to have filled her with an overpowering sense of fear but as his hand gripped her arm, a terrified and painful scream tore from her throat as not only the cloth under his grip dissolved, but her skin blackened and died as the corrosive energy flowed from him and to her.

The pinkette screamed again, this time in fright as his hands let go of her and she fell down an endless void but she didnÆt fall for long as light suddenly swarmed over her and she ended up crashing against something before she felt her momentum shift and she ended up falling again and crashed once again against something but this time, she landed on her bad arm and a fresh round of pain flowed through her and let out one of the loudest scream she ever vocalized, but even as she screamed, her senses were going haywire, one part telling her that she was surrounded by people but at the same time, she could feel that she was still alone, still in that dark nothingness that seemed to be his realm.
She felt cold, colder then sheÆs ever been. The images flowing through her mind as she dreamed was confusing but at the same time, terrifying. She kept on seeing the bony old man, going through walls and swallowing up people in that black pool of his. She heard a terrifying roar echo through the hallways as people ran and it shook her to the bone. Her ears caught the sound of a intercom system, a voice shouting over it but suddenly, it started to be too much for her, the voices, the feelings was starting to overtake her. She covered her ears as she dropped to the ground, curling up as she screamed, the roar of the hidden monster once again echoing through the wall.

Another scream tore from SakuraÆs throat, this time tearing from her throat as her body shot up from the hospital bed, her eyes wide with horror. Her eyes remained wide open even as the scream died, realizing that she wasnÆt in a hallway anymore, now seeing the familiar walls of the hospital. She looked down and saw herself on a hospital bed. The realization calmed her down a bit and her body relaxed a bit. However, it was then she realized that she had a vice-like grip on her arm. She looked down and a gasp left her lips as she saw the black handprint on her upper arm. It was then the memories came back to her, the memory of being dragged through that pitch-black darkness, coming face to face with the old man again, and feeling extreme pain on that arm where he grabbed it.

ôWhat the hell did that bastard do to me?ö She whispered to herself as she examined the handprint. It didnÆt seem like it was attached to her skin as she couldnÆt feel a difference between that and her skin but there was something she could feel, a presence beside her inner voice, and even she was silent, in her, a small presence, but a presence nonetheless. ôWhy canÆt that damn bony bastard just leave me alone?ö

ôThatÆs precisely what I would like to know.ö

A yelp came from her throat as a deep voice spoke to her, her body jerked backwards as her head jerked forward, her eyes caught sight of a stern looking man staring at her. Her own eyes caught sight of the scars that lined his face and it was then she realized who was sitting in front of her. ôMorino Ibiki?ö

ôI see you remember me.ö

ôHow could I forget? You terrified the entire class.ö She frowned when the man laughed, remembering the time when they went to the I/T department and went on a ætourÆ of the place. ôWhere am I?ö

IbikiÆs laughter died down and a serious look came onto his face. ôYouÆre in the hospitalÆs maximum security wing. WeÆre concerned about his interest in you and the fact that he was able to get to you so easily.ö A shudder went through her as the black nothingness came back to the forefront of her mind. She hated that place, it made her feel so scared and alone.

ôHasàhas he taken anyone else?ö

ôAs far as we know, no. Has he said anything to you?ö

ôN-no, only thing IàI really remember is the pain when he grabbed me.ö Her hand went to the mark as she said this. ôThat placeàitÆs so dark in there. YouÆre alone but you can feel that someone is watching youàhunting you. I couldnÆt thinkàI couldnÆt do anything but run and hope he doesnÆt find you.ö A weak chuckle escaped her lips as she stared into the eyes of the interrogator. ôHe couldÆve killed me you know? He had a tight grip on my neck and I thought for sure he was going to kill me.ö

ôAnd yet youÆre still here.ö

ôAnd I donÆt know why. He wants me for something but I donÆt know what. He spared Naruto and now me? WhatÆs going on?ö

ôWe donÆt know but we are going to find out. You just focus on rest right now.ö
In every land, there are myths and legends that are associated with each land. From the water nymphs in the land of Waves to sentient fire beings in the Land of Fire, there are always some kind of legends. In Suna, however, Sabaku no Temari and her team discovered that at least one methodical being actually existedàand was currently hunting them.

For what seemed like the millonith time, Temari cursed in her mind as she heard the distant sound of rock and rock grinding together, the sound of the monster chasing them. Her and her team have had the unfortunate luck to run across the being during their trek over mountains that wouldÆve allowed them to cut some time off of their trip. They quickly discovered his hostility and ran but the fucker was quick, matching their high speed and slowly picking off her once-team of nine people down to three. This was supposed to be a simple C-rank mission but the mission was the last thing on her mind as her and her remaining teammates tried to get to safety from the seemly indestruable and fast monster. Her team had tried to kill the stone monster but each attack either doesnÆt affect him or avoids it entirely. The jounin assigned had quickly ordered a retreat before he got killed by the creature snapping its neck.

She heard the sound of a scream but didnÆt look back, knowing that the next sound would be the sound of his neck snapping. She got her confirmation the next as the sickening sound of his neck snapping came to her ears but she resolved herself to push like never before. She was close to an outpost and once she got there, she would be safe. She was coming up to wall but it didnÆt impede her as she was able to take her fan and launch herself from the ground. She didnÆt weep for her teammate that she was leaving behind. In the face of such a ruthless enemy, going back to save him would only get them both killed. The outpost was nearby and after she got up to the top, she could launch herself and glide the rest of the way to the outpost.

Her feet landed on a small ledge and she was in the process of charging up for another launch when she caught another sound, this time the sound came above her. She looked up and to her horror, found boulders tumbling down toward her. She cursed and redirected her aim, sending herself flying toward the opposite side of the mountain. She knew she couldnÆt stay in one spot so as soon as she landed, she pulled back her fan to launch herself straight up in the air. It would rob her over 80% of her chakra but it would be worth it to stay out of reach of that monster. She swung her fan down and felt herself fly into the air. She let her eyes close as she felt the wind rush by her, feeling oddly at peace.

However, that peace was soon interrupted.

Her flight up to the skies was cut short as she felt something hard and solid grab onto her. A pained yelp came out of her mouth as the action hurt her body in more ways than one but as she look forward, her body froze in shock. Her eyes caught sight of her attacker, hard green æeyesÆ staring at her as his grip remained. She didnÆt dare blink, her breaths coming in short as she realized that her end was here. She just wished that she had more time to spend with her brothers. Suddenly, there was a cracking sound to her right and her eyes seemed to have blinked on their own accord but when she opened her eyes again, her attacker changed position from staring at her to looking to its left. It was then it occurred to her. He only moved when she blinked, she, and presumably her team, never looked back while they were running. In fact, she never even saw it move. She was dead anyway so she decided to test so she blinked againà

àand was promptly dropped onto her butt.

A yelp came out of her mouth again as her butt made contact with the ground but she quickly regained her senses and looked back upàonly to find her attacker moved and is now staring at the mountain wall, specicialy a part of the wall that seemed to have a blackened crack. She blinked again and suddenly he was gone. She quickly got up and inspected her surroundings, fan at the ready but it was all for naught as it was nowhere in sight. She waited but it never came back nor did she hear it. Was it really gone and she made it out of this intact? Taking a deep breath she turned and continued back on the path for the outpost. She knew she wasnÆt safe until she got back to the protection of the outpost.

Since I'm getting into this more, I thought I create a thread here for my writings. With the vast universe that is SCP, there is potential to write and I'm hoping to tap that.

I would tap absolutely nothing from the scp-verse. God knows what kind of sexually transmitted SCPs there are.

There's actually a nuclear vibrator that can literally turn anything it touches into a liquity mess. I forget which scip it is though. As well as a scip that changes yor gender.

I knew about the genderswap scp, but not the vibrator. Interesting.

Also, I should go suggest a sti/scp to the foundation. That sounds like it could be ... interesting. In the 'Oh god why' manner.

As for the story itself, you should tie those snippets together.

Here the scip that I mentioned before.

<a href='http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-297' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-297</a>

Note - It is safe for work, it only contains a single image of a steel vibe behind held by someone.

Yeah... any page with a massive picture of a rabbit vibe isn't safe for work. Pretty much bar none.

She felt herself almost gliding across the snowy landscape, feelng the snow crush under her bare feet. She could hear things growling in the distance but she wasnÆt scared of them, like she knew they wouldnÆt harm her. Her hands caressed across the bark of the trees as she traveled, feeling the bark dissolve under her touch. She felt herself grin at the crack of the tree as the tree fell, the resounding boom echoing throughout the forest before turning back to the bath before her. She could see the massive mountain in front of her but, despite that, she knew exactly where she was going. Her path took her to the mountain side but she didnÆt stop as a pool of darkness appeared before her. Darkness came over her as she stepped in and instantly came out in a large cavern. The only light came from the reflection of the large pool nearby but it was lit enough to see the massive figure slumbering before her. She wasnÆt even present five seconds before a new voice sounded out.

ôWhat do you want old man?ö

The figure shifted and the sight of nine tails flickering behind it and the face of a fox greeted her eyes. She felt her lips twist into a grin before she felt the entire area shift and felt herself jerk back into a black void.

Sakura gasped as she woke up, her hand grasping a kunai at the ready as she snapped herself away, the realization of seeing THE Kyuubi face to face snapping her out of the memory. She stayed like this for a while as she tried to compose herself. These dream-memories that occasional came to her always left her confused. She knew it wasnÆt her memories or dreams but rather from the entity that had taken an interest in her. A shuddering sigh left her lips as her body tried to relax. She didnÆt understand why she was seeing them, it was like the Old Man was trying to tell her something or just torturing her with his memories.

She certainly wouldnÆt put it past him though.

Putting down the kunai, she picked up the sealed journal on her nightstand and pealed the tag off. Her therapist had suggested keeping a dream journal of these memories where she could go back and try and figure out what it means. She couldnÆt figure out if they were in chronological order or was he picking and choosing specific ones to show her? Was he trying to tell her something? If he was, she had no idea what it could be. She may be smart but the mental workings of a malevolent entity were a bit out of her league. Another sigh left her lips as she finished her entry, sealing the book back up and replacing it in its spot when something pleasant came to her nose. She took a couple sniffs and realized someone was cooking downstairs. She took a glance at the clock and frowned. Her parents never get up this earlier, even her energetic father is still asleep at this time. That left only one person. She quickly pulled off the covers and got dressed, pulling her hair into a ponytail as she left her room. Her nose followed the scent downstairs, quickly turning the corner to the kitchen where a deeper frown came to her lips.

ôMomÆs going to kill you for breaking into her houseàagain Naruto.ö

Said boy smiled as he looked up from the stove, his hands working the contents of the pan he held in front on him. ôAhàyou know Midori-chan loves me.ö

ôIÆm serious Naruto. She has a thick belt in her closet thatÆs sheÆs not afraid to use.ö When he didnÆt relent, she sighed and shook her head. ôSo what did you bring this time?ö Naruto beamed at her acceptance and motioned for her to sit down. As she sat down, she couldnÆt help but look at the boy who stayed by her side thoughout the entire ordeal. Ever since the Old Man had taken her that second time, Naruto had taken it upon himself to visit her almost every morning and stick with her for almost the entire day. If she was honest with herself, she found it sweet to have someone dote on her like that. She would never tell Naruto that though, her pride refused to allow it so she was satisfied with silently enjoying the attention. ôHave you seen Ino lately?ö

ôYou mean besides the last time I saw her when she used me as a punching bag? No.ö

ôIÆm sure she appreciates the distraction whenever you visit.ö

ôAnyway I can help!ö Sakura couldnÆt help but chuckle at his outburst. He really was a loveable idiot and wanted nothing more than to try and help his friends out of the depression they found themselves in because of their exposure to the Old ManÆs realm. ôSakura, youÆre still coming to training today right?ö

ôYeahàwhy do you ask?ö

ôCause you missed the last one and when I came to visit, you kicked me out.ö

ôYeah sorry, I just had something to work out.ö

ôYou had a dream again didnÆt you?ö When she looked up, she was shocked to find a serious look on NarutoÆs face as he looked at her. ôYouÆre always twitchy whenever you had a dream. ItÆs slight but itÆs there.ö

ôAnd you noticed this?ö

ôI did. IÆm worried about you Sakura. HeÆs interested in you and we still donÆt know why nor can we get that stupid handprint off of your arm.ö Her hand touched the black handprint that was on her arm, knowing that his statement was true. They had tried everything short of slicing off her skin to remove that mark and every attempt had failed.

ôThank you Narutoàfor sticking with me.ö She smiled when Naruto gave her a thumbs up and a grin.

OoOoOoO

Once breakfast was finished, Sakura had to shoo Naruto out of the house before her parents woke up so they wouldnÆt scream at him like her last time she caught him in her house. Once he was gone, she headed to the bathroom to take a shower before she went and meet with Ino. She hoped that her friend was alright. Ever since she had recovered from the mental troubles that realm did to her, she had been determined on improving herself to prevent the same thing from happening to her again. No more did she focused on looks, focusing on building up her strength and endurance to last longer in battle.

Ino wasnÆt the only one however.

Sakura had also started to step it up. With a painfully honest assessment from her sensei, Kakashi, she started to realize where her flaws were and started to work on those areas, mostly in the muscle region. It was difficult and harrowing, but the face of the Old Man fresh in her mind, she too wanted to be able to stand a chance against him. However, she was worried about her blonde friend. While she was training more, it seemed that she was trying to push herself father then what her body was capable of. If Ino kept this up, she might end up doing more harm than good.

After getting dried off and into her clothes, she grabbed her backpack and headed out, going onto the path that lead to the Yamanaka home. If anything, she would have to drag her away from her punching bag and to the training grounds where everybody was to meet.

OoOoOoO

As expected, Sakura found her frienemy in her backyard beating the shit out of the helpless punching back hanging off of the tree. Judging by the sweat, sheÆd been out for quite a while. She was honestly impressed by the level of dedication she had thrown herself in after recovering from her ordeal but then againàanybody that spent any amount of time in such a dark and soul draining place would change. ôYou keep this up Ino-pig and youÆll wreck your hands.ö

ôIf it means staying away from that monster, I donÆt care.ö Ino gave the bag once last punch before she fell against it, letting her head rest on the leather before turning it to look at the pinkette. ôBesides I could say the same of you. IÆve seen you practice. You bring those legs up any higher youÆll break something.ö

Sakura scoffed and shifted so she was leaning against the wall. ôAt least I donÆt push myself to complete exhaustion. You really need to pace yourself.ö

ôI DONÆT HAVE TIME TO PACE MYSELF!ö The blonde yelled, giving the bag a hard punch. ôI have to get better.ö

ôSo do I but IÆm not going to kill myself doing it.ö

Thankfully that seemed to have convinced the blonde to stop. She was worried about Ino and what the experience did to her. While it did motivate her to better herself, it seemed to make her bitter at times. Once Ino gave herself a rinse-off in the shower, the both of them headed toward the training area their two teams were due to meet for a cooperative training session.

OoOoOoO

Bright red orbs stared down at the pinkette as she mingled with her teammates. Something didnÆt sit right with the girl ever since the entity had taken and returned her. Kurenai couldnÆt quite place it but something was screaming at her not to touch her, to not attack her and it wasnÆt just her. Kakashi felt the same way but not Asuma surprisingly.

ôNerves still acting up about the girl?ö

The dark haired genjutsu user scowled at her bearded teammate as he settled in beside her. ôI donÆt know what it is. Everything checked out with her, even Inoichi vouched for her.ö

ôBut you donÆt agree.ö

ôNoàI donÆt.ö

ôYou complaining about my student again Kurenai?ö

ôStop complaining Kakashi. I know you feel the same way.ö

ôThatÆs why weÆre here. To see if something manifests during battle.ö

OoOoOoO

Kurenai watched with narrowed eyes as Team 7 withstood the assault from both Kakashi and Asuma. Her role in this endeavor was watching and quietly manipulating to test their genjutsu awareness. They seemed to be working together pretty well but that was only due to the fact that the two jounins were severally pulling their punches. So far nothing unusual has shown regarding Sakura. She wasnÆt even sure what she was looking for but she had an inkling she would know it when she saw it. A wince went through her when a punch connected with Saskue, sending the boy flying across the field before turning their attention to the two remaining genin. Her eyes caught them sneaking a glance at each other, as if telling each other they were outmatched, and nodded. She quirked an eyebrow when there was a massive explosion of smoke and almost a thousand NarutoÆs suddenly appeared before they bolted in all direction, as if to give the real ones cover to escape.

However, she wasnÆt a jounin for nothing.

Her eyes managed to keep track of Sakura as she traveled with a group headed away for her assailants, diving into a bush while the rest headed off. She had to admit, the girl did well considering her pink hair and red clothing although why she didnÆt dye her hair was beyond her. A smirk came onto her lips as a devilish idea came to mind. The pinkette might have been known for her book smarts but that didnÆt mean shit when it came to putting it in practice. Muscle memory took over her hands as it ran though the seals, focusing and expelling her chakra over the girl as she quickly ran through her pouch. The smirk got bigger as she felt it take ahold of the pinkette and the girl react. However, the smirk soon got wiped off her face as her control over the genjutsu was suddenly ripped from her and an aura of intense dread settled over her. Her hands started shaking in fear as her body refused to move or try to break the connection and she was forced to watch as her former target disappeared down into a pool of darkness.

She didnÆt understand what was going on. All she knew was that her control was taken over and its affect turned on her. It was supposed to induce paranoia into the target by stimulating the fear receptors in the brain. Her ears caught a sound and her eyes managed to look down, only for them to widen in fear when she saw Sakura rise up out of a black pool, her eyes black as the darkest night and the most evil grins she had ever seen in her career plastered on the pinketteÆs face.

She struggled to get out of this control Sakura apparently had over her but it was futile as what held her wasnÆt a genjutsu but something elseàsomething unnatural. As æSakuraÆ seemed to look her over, she was suddenly reminded of the experiences her fellow jounin shared of their encounter with the æOld ManÆ, about how he produced such an aura that their movements were hesitant and all their senses all went haywire but thisàthis was more intense as they described as æherÆ attention was focused all on her. She tried to scream but the sound caught in her throat. Her entire body started shaking when the pinketteÆs hand reached for her. Her fingers closed up save for one but as the index finger neared her cheek, she couldÆve sworn that the tempurture around her got colder and colder.

But as the finger touched her cheek, the sound caught in her throat tore out of her mouth in the form of a painful scream as she felt the skin of her cheek burn and blister but scream she could only do as she was still frozen in place. The grin was still on her torturerÆs face as she moved the finger, tracing a pattern on her face when suddenly, Sakura grabbed her face with both hands and pain filled her entire body.

ôKURENAI!ö

The pain suddenly stopped and she managed to open her eyes just in time to see Sakura twist out of the way of an incoming kick from Asuma, only to grab a leg and literally throw him across the field and to a nearby tree. If she wasnÆt sure that this wasnÆt Sakura, she knew now as a petite girl like Sakura wouldnÆt be able to accomplish what just happened. However, as those hated black eyes turned back toward her, she renewed her struggled to try to get free of whatever was holding her but it proved useless as the fear that paralyzed her body remained in place. Thenàall of a sudden, the fear, the coldàall of it went away and she could breath again. She collapsed to the ground, her chest heaving as she tried to regain her lost breath. She snuck a look toward Asuma and found that the leg that Sakura had grabbed was bare and almost black.

She turned back around when she caught a gurgling sound, turning around and catching the sight of Sakura disappearing down into a black pool, heading down before she disappeared. Her body finally collapsed as the strength left her, hearing her genin run up to her before she finally passed out.

OoOoOoO

With the transition between the outside world and the Old ManÆs realm, the possession the Old Man had over his mark got filtered so when the portal opened up on the ceiling, Sakura was screaming as she fell out and crashed into the ground. It was a high fall so when she landed on her back, she had to take a few moments to recover herself, but when she did, she quickly realized where she was. As she got up, holding onto the wall for support, she began to realize that the fear she normally felt in this place was not here anymore. ôWhat the hell is going on?ö She muttered to herself, struggling to stay on her feet as she walked. All she could remember was checking over her supplies when something came her and she blacked out and now she was inside the Old ManÆs realm again?

What was his interest in her?

She froze, her ears catching the sound of a death rattle behind her. She didnÆt need to turn around to know who was behind her and figured this would be her best chance to get some answers while she could still form a cohearent thought. ôWhy are you doing this to me? What could you possibly want from me?ö She turned and, as she expected, found the decayed man standing behind her. A part of her was surprised at her bravery at seeing him again but with seeing the apparent memories of him, she was wondering if he was trying to make her get to know him. ôIÆve seen your memories. I know you like to hurt but this, what youÆre doing to me seems so out of place for you so whyàwhy get me used to you?ö From what Naruto had said, she knew he was capable of speech but he had never spoken to her.

ôYou do not realize.ö Sakura perked up at that. She hasnÆt expected him to actually say anything. ôThe mark will ensure that you do.ö

ôWaitàwhat are you tal-AHHHHHH!!!ö What Sakura was going to say next was interrupted by the sensation of falling as the floor opened up beneath her. Her trip didnÆt last for very long as she quickly found herself flying and once again crashing to the floor. ôGod damn sadistic bastard.ö She muttered as she got up to her hands and knees. Not only was he being extremely vague, without warning he opened up a portal below her and dropped her god knows where. As she stood up and looked up, she suddenly realized where she was as evident by the many masked and unmasked ANBU all around her. ôUh-ohàö Was the only thing she had time to say before she was tackled by the many bodies in the room.

In another realm, the Old Man chuckled as he watched the scene before him. While he may like to hurt and torture, sometimes the little things can be equally amusing such as dropping someone into a highly restricted area.

You wouldn't believe how many times I deleted the entire thing and started over. I wanted to go one way but as I wrote it down and reread it, I realized it sucked and had to start over and repeat this process until I was happy with it. My main idea is that Sakura has, among other things, gained an immunity to genjutsu and mental-based jutsu.

<a href='http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-127' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>SCP-127</a>

I wonder, does a scip like this have the ability to choose what kind of weapon it wants? And what kind of advantages would a internal biological system like that to a normal weapon

Well, you could really boost it with chakra, I think...
Since it seems to be something that infected a normal weapon and turned it into something else, I think it may be able to infect others, yes, but I think it may be mostly firearms or mechanical things since it just reproduces the mechanisms organically.

I don't think it chooses, since the original owner apparently had enough guns to warrant the ATF coming in to get them. However, given the proximity of his body to the gun before it was discovered, his death may have been tied to the creation of the gun

But at the same time, it's type of bio-weaponry wouldn't really be useful to anything but firearms.

And, really, it seems like something you'd see from the Zerg or Xen.

THe list does start to narrow a bit while keeping true to the EC setting but considering there's over 1000 SCP's, you just have to look through them.

Look through them for what?

Well, ones that I could use and write about. I can't exactly write a little thing about a hovering nuke that causes all nuclear countries to nuke each other because of a launch detection via early warning system.

Well, aside from what i put in the other thread, I'll have to think on that.

Ok, I have looked up the Sc whatever and lost interest in that...

Now that said taken just on what you have written as a Naruto non-crossover and all additional elements as being again not a crossover... Its good.

While some elements do seem needing more explaination, and some plot points that others have pointed out do probably need to be addressed, it still stands on its own quite well.

That said this rendition so far seems better then the last, I would recommend keeping that look to it. Even as a crossover any crossover must follow one basic rule, or else suffer from reader loss. In general anyone likely to read a crossover usually will be a fan of/or at least heard of both works, and Lets face it, everyone who reads Ranma/SM crossovers had seen the poorly done dub (of SM) at least once. With your chosen cross your reader base of that will be minute, and the ones that are into both of thoes and also read fanfics will likely be even smaller.

As I said your work stands up on its own well without being looked at as a crossover, so my advise is to continue this road, take elements and ideas from SCP but introduce them as if your readers are unaware of SCP at all.

Copying this over from the previous board since it didn't make it.

Hang on, wasn't one of the SCP objects created by SCP-914 a living drawing? Maybe some added helper of Sai?

Edit: Found it, SCP-085, Cassy, a living drawing. Maybe she can work as a partner with Sai in exchange for being able to enter the 3D world

I'm also of the mind that 106 is not new to Konoha. The guy is a sadistic bastard and I'm fairly certain a war might attract his attention. Jiriaya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru might have run into him maybe a few times in the war and Tsunade would have better luck and skill treating those affected by him.

This would mean that once Jiraiya finds out what's going on and learns of his most recent appearance appearance, taking down both Kurenai and Asuma, Jiriya would find Tsunade and bring her back to Konoha. Both her and Tsunade's relationship when they meet would be very different. In fact, given a choice, she might go for Jiriays's mentoring instead of Tsunade.

Gaara was a better username. At least it didn't have some numbers after it.

There's an SCP I'm looking for. A literal hole in the wall. It can relocate after a certain amount of time but the main thing about it is that if you put something in it, you get returned something of value or something that you lost. There's a test log that I want to read over again.

I really don't understand what's the deal with the SCP, it's like MLP. I just can't generate any amount of willpower to read it, my brain screams "LAMMMMMMMEEEEEEEE" at me.

It knew.

It knew from the moment it saw the blackened crack in the wall that the Old Man was active again. It remembered the last time he was active. There was so much terror in the world from the beings like him but the humans had managed to defend themselves once again and the terror died down again. It lusted for human blood and enjoyed the sound of their deaths. They sounded so pathetic when they died. Stupid humans, they don’t deserve to live and it has taken it upon itself to kill every last one of them.

The crack was a message. A message to meet. Maybe the terror would start again. The thought caused It to speed up his travels, the thought of killing more humans filling its mind with glee. It would meet up with the Old Man and the terror would start again.

---------

Bonus points for which SCP it is.:p

This is something that came to mind while having some free time. I need to start writing again. I may make a part two to this.
