Renegade Kindness

So, I was playing myself some Mass Effect 2, and It occurred to me. New Game + features are sorta like Peggy sue fics. "if I could Go back as powerful as I am now I could change things, do things differently". And furthermore, Mass Effect 1, 2, and (Presumably) 3 all have New Game + functions.

You know what would be a hilarious Fanfic? If a Renegade Shepard who had turned the Collector Base over to Cerberus and basically killed all his allies in the suicide mission, Never activated Grunt, Sent off Legion to Cerberus, Betrayed his love interest (or never had one), killed the Rachni, Killed Wrex, and basically killed off anyone who can be killed off and never really stopped to help anyone or gain their loyalty, a Shepard who had put the main mission first and foremost and STILL lost the war against the reapers, went back in time and tried to be... nice?

Mind you, He's still thoroughly a renegade. But he's trying to fix his past "mistakes". Gain people's Loyalty, Maybe not kill off all his allies. try and tolerate other People's Bullshit. You know, Paragon stuff.

This is a Commander Shepard who's bound and determined to be kind and nice to you even if he has to pistol whip the shit out of you to do it. And has no idea why the hell people don't realize how nice he's trying to be.

For instance. He killed those sanctimonious Assholes on the council last time, and appointed Udina head of the new Council. This time, He's Saved the council, and they still won't fucking believe him. And even worse, Still sent him back to fight the Geth and get hit by the Collectors.

This is a Shepard who is undeniably a Heroic Sociopath trying to be a Nice guy who plays well with others. With predictably Hilarious results.

That said, I'm having a Bit of trouble figuring out how Renegade Shepard would resolve things like Tali being Thrown off the Flotilla in a way that's "Nice". This isn't a straight up choice of Paragon Options. This is a Renegade Shepard, doing Renegade things to convince people he's a nice guy. And maybe accidentally becoming a super villain in the process.

Also you're going to have to find some reason for Shepard to go along with the whole fight the Geth after ME1 thing, cause I can't see Renegade Shepard proceeding willfully to his death no matter how nice he's trying to be.

Maybe some sort of advantage he can use against the inevitable collector ambush, but that ultimately fails to make a difference without the Cerberus Funded upgrades to the Normandy. Or I suppose just have the collectors target him no matter what he does. Same outcome I guess.

As for Tali, SuperFailureRenegadebuttryingtoredeemhimself!Shepard would probably try to give her a hug. But he's not used to hugs, so it kind of fails horribly for him.

The geth would STILL be killing people, so its not like he WOULDN'T fight them.
