Onward and upward, as the guild attends it's first classes.

The Noble Roses: Chapter 4

Still needs a bit of revision here and there, but the general idea is down.

Good chapter, fairly standard regarding the first day of classes, but its obvious that the whoel Guild business is having a positive effect on both Ruby and Jaune regarding their leadership skills, with Ruby being more responsible (a reasonable outcome of having so much power since her early childhood) and Jaune being less insecure than canon. The fact that in this chapter the GW2 was mostly background (even the part of the telepathy is shown without fanfare) shows that the cast is getting used to the idea of being part of the Guild.

Only thing that I found a little curious is that Ozpin, having the perfect opening to set up a friendly meeting and explanation for the rare shared 'semblance' decided to keep his strategy of 'wait & see'.

He always struck me as the type who doesn't like to go in without knowing what hes up against, baring emergency. It's only been like a day, he's still running down what he can. I'm actually going to add a bit to the end to expand upon that. He'll have his meeting with them soon enough. But right now, I don't think he's keen to lock himself in a room with one great unknown, and one minor one. If Ruby was anyone but who she is, and who her parents are, he'd be treating her a lot differently.

As for Jaune, yeah, his not quite as weak this go around, and that's going to effect his since of self worth a lot. I don't plan on doing the bullying/blackmail arc at all, it will get replaced for the most part.

And lets just say the group got lucky that Nora fought the grimm instead of Weiss.

Chapter 5 will mainly cover what jaundice used to, as well as start their formal training, and a brief meeting with ozpin.
