Okay, I got a fic I'm looking for. It has been bugging me for several months now.
It's a Usagi/Rei story. I don't remember more then that Usagi crashed in Rei's bed after they confessed their love, and in the morning Minako found them and started chanting "I knew it" while dancing with her arms in the air.

well it belongs here as anywhere else as it IS a SM cross. looking for one of Metroanime's old omakes, well that or comfrimation that I've finally lost what ability to fake sanity I possessed.
anyway the fic has Grey stepping into a SM timeline and "adopting" Makoto after her parents die. he runs a restreraunt which she works at as well and Grey raised her for a good 10 years local time but for the entire time he's been "Uncle" at best to her, he due to stay in the timeline till a "breaking point" which comes not long after Makoto joins up with the other sensei. Grey's greatest wish was to be acknowledge as her father after he'd raised her solong, but it's not to be as an accident(either just plain dumb, grey luck or instigated by a hold up) causes a gas explosion in the diner and Grey passes after just a shortly after being able to say a few last words to Makota.
now, I haven't found hide nor hair of this anywhere I've looked as of late so I could ruddy well be imagineing the entire afair, still if anyone's familer enough with Gregg's stuff, please point me in the right dirrection.

I know what you're talking about. It was mentioned in passing in another of his fics... I remember because he was disappointed that Makoto kept calling him uncle instead of dad... and Rei was confused about the 'fish taco'.

I was reminded, recently, of a story that came across the old FFML a long while back. It was centered around a magic school of some sort (I'm pretty sure it was before the first Potter book was released, so no commentary there); Setsuna was the Headmistress with Michiru and Haruka as her assistants. Usagi, Rei, Ami, etc, were students; there was mention of other factions including Mistress 9 and Nehelenia already being present and active as Setsuna's rivals, all of them searching for some McGuffin that may or may not have been the Ginzuishou... It was heavily lime-rated, including a fairly serious bit of BDSM between Setsuna and Haruka involving a haircut.
Anyone recall seeing this, have a current link?

I was thinking about this story recently, and I wanted to take another look at it.
Storyline: Beryl kidnaps Akane, Gourry and I think Tenchi and places them within suspended animation in order to corral Ranma, Lina and Ryoko into helping her kill the senshi once and for all, or else she'll kill off their precious love interests. This ends up ultimately failing as obviously the group can't bring themselves to actually kill the girls.
In the end, she begins summoning stronger opponents, each battle growing progressively much more difficult than the last. Kusanagi from Blue Seed (fighting for Momiji), Mewtwo, and then Cell. Plus, one of the side stories deals with Ranma and Lina caught in between attraction towards each other and their imprisoned love interests at Beryl's mercy.

While the story summary you described sounds interesting, I can't really buy Beryl being stronger than people like Cell or full power Ryoko, or Lina at her best. That irks me too much.
On a side note though, that reminds me a little of an old Fire's fanfics(A Terrible Power), but never mind as it is evil Serenity and good Beryl.

It wasn't Beryl herself that came up with the idea, I think. Someone else was providing her the ideas and making the negotiations with at least Cell (baseline form). Plus, if Ryoko was involved, it's because Beryl held Tenchi's life in the palm of her hands. Same for Gourry, Akane, and later Usako. The captives were sealed in a sort of crystal that left them in suspended animation. Beryl could shatter said crystal with a mere poke and instantly kill them.
The Mewtwo fight was... man. That was wild, to say the least. He very nearly succeeded in turning Ami into a twisty pretzel at one point.
