There's an Iwao Saotome in Real Bout High School. He's a middle-aged teacher.

Pani Poni Dash had a male teacher named Saotome, Or so I assume. May have been spelled different.

There was also a manga I have, can't remember the name, with a female teacher named Saotome. Main Character was a lazy super-genius with ADD who liked to lounge around in those big housecoats. I'll have to see if I can dig that one up.

EDIT: Found it pretty fast. Mystical Prince Yoshida-kun. Pretty lulzy stuff.

Kochikame also has a Saotome woman, personal name of Rika.

Saotome seems to be a pretty common name. Couldn't find any Kunos though.
