So my only knowledge of sekirei is from the xovers that popped up after In Flight.

I tried reading it a bit but the over the top fanservice+ having difficulty figuring out what was going on due to the art made me drop reading it quick.

Can anyone summarize whats going on in the series?

The favservice has actually been toned way, way down in the last few years worth. It's no longer the borderline H stuff we used to have.

Summarizing it is rather difficult, as a ton has happened as of late, some of it pretty confusing.

An everyman gets sucked into a survival game when a human alien kisses him and forms a psychic bond.

Forced to accommodate this new addition to his life, he adapts. Which is lucky because he's apparently a man slut to Sekirei, and several react to his psychic boner, causing him to become the Ashikabi of the North one of the 5 or 6 most powerful Ashikabi in the game.

With a strong team of pokemon Sekirei, he does what he can to play the game while also subtly fighting against it.

Also Sekirei are aliens that came to earth thousands of years ago and fucked around, resulting in most of the population being part Sekirei. Which is bad because Sekirei have a kill switch.

Also his sister and mother are massive bitches. Mostly likable though.

And the author is a woman. And one of his harem members pokemon Sekirei is a man transgendered. The Sekirei in question is not pleased about suddenly turning into a girl either..

The sister's signature move is stomping on the groin of defeated male opponent.

i meant more in detail on what sekirei are/jinki are/supersecretsciencemagicshit that were learned in chapters that came out after in flight did, as thats where canon stops for most sekirei stories.

Sekirei are aliens that landed on earth thousands of years ago. IIRC, 8 ships came - 6 crashed with all hands dead, one crash landed under the sea, and one landed. They then proceeded bond with humans and have children. Most humans have at least some Sekirei blood in them.

The Jinki are abit harder to explain, but you can basically think of them as Control Crystals. A key to their technology and biology.
