Okay, I have to say it. This chapter and the last one, all I could think was, "Are you TRYING to trip ALL the death flags?" Because that's all I saw them doing.

This one was telegraphed a mile away.

I've never understood why they allow the Sekirei to kill each other like this though, it seems counter productive. You'd think Miya would have put her foot down at all this.

We still don't know what death is like for Sekirei. Maybe they can be brought back? If so, what's the point of worrying about it (in Miya's case)?

I re-read this series recently and it was actually better than I remembered it being. I blame gabriel blessing.

?? Scanned the raw, it looks like Mikogami manages to wing Akitsu and that's about it.

Yeah. That's what turned me off. I'm really tired of that character and now he winged a Sekirei he didn't deserve. So, yeah, it's kinda petty, but sometimes that's how it is.

Huh. I mean, it kind of looks like Mikogami gets one of those "revelations from despair" moments.

And, to be honest, I actually have a bit of fondness from his backstory; it felt like there was a lot of growth potential there, and here is perhaps some of that.

Had to look up these folks, to be honest, as it's been a while.

Really, doesn't make much difference to me, either way. Musubi came back to life after her symbol disappeared; an unwingable getting winged isn't out of the question.
