Bleach Selenophobia

#1
Aizen ascended the stairs, stepping over the dead and dying, both friend and foe. It had been a long road, littered with bodies. No one stood between himself and the Door now. No one could stand between him and the door; even old man Yamamoto had fallen before his blade.

And so it came as a complete surprise when someone stepped in front of the door, blocking his path.

"My my, you've been rather naughty, Aizen-kun." She said, her pleasant smile never faltering. Aizen paused, not sure how to answer for a moment.

"It is what I felt I needed to do." He finally explained himself. Aizen did not feel that he really needed to explain himself, but for some reason, this matronly woman gave him that 'hand in the cookie jar' feeling far too strongly to say nothing.

"And you feel you also need to go through the door behind me?" Unohana Retsu asked, still smiling. Aizen could hear slurping sounds behind him: Minazuki was eating those still among the living behind him. Still, he felt some unknown fear from this woman's gaze. She had been a captain long before himself; only Yamamoto still lived to remember her advancement. But the unofficial rankings could glean no knowledge of anything beyond a strong ability with Kido, and the record stated that her Ban Kai was instant healing. He knew enough not to trust the record on Ban Kai, however, having manipulated that himself. Still, he had hardly ever sensed power from her.

"Yes, I do. And if you would stop me, then you will meet my blade as well." He stated, not faltering. Quite suddenly, a raspy snicker sounded behind him; Yamamoto's chuckle set off warning bells in his head, but he stood firm.

"Then I have no choice, it seems." Unohana sighed, reaching into her braid. Aizen tensed, but did not know what to expect: Minazuki was still gathering the injured, so she could not intend to fight without a Zanpakuto, right? His confusion grew when she withdrew a colorful broach and opened it, revealing a beautiful crystal set inside. Aizen gripped his sword, ready for anything except what was about to happen, when she raised it above her head.

"Eternal Moon Power, MAKE UP!"

Unohana's braids suddenly seemed to shed their color, revealing bright blond locks that snapped away from their demure braid and behind her, forming into a long pair of pigtails. Her Shinigami garb and Captain's Haori vanished, the brooch spinning out long ribbons that curved about her body, then snapped tight before bursting into the form of a colorful fuku. A metal tiara snapped to her brow, the moon emblem shining brightly as a final ribbon of power tied itself to her back, shattering into a wing-like bow. Then, the transformation was finished.

"You've been a very bad man, and in the name of the moon, I shall punish you!"

The braids just matched in my mind with odango-brain, and this came out. I did a very good impression of a SmileX victim when I thought of it, so I thought some of you might find it funny as well.

I wanted to use the strongest form, but haven't seen far enough to know what it is. And no one responded to my question thread quickly enough, so I guessed based on what I knew.

Oh, and FYI, Selenophobia is Fear of the Moon.

:yay: :yay: :yay:
So that's why you put up that question in the SM thread. And yes, reading this is like getting hit with SmileX, I'm still chuckling writing this.

I must say that when I first read the part where she transforms, all I could say was "Oh Hell No". Then I thought about it, and I laughed. This was good.

That's one way to instill a fear. It's a good thing that she shortened her speech because I don't think Aizen would have waite for her to finish.

And all I can picture is Aizen, on the ground with a naked-transformation-sequence induced nose bleed.

Kind of appropriate you chose Retsu though.

Considering her last name. :)

Oh leave him be he's new. I wouldn't have even noticed this snippet if he hadn't.

Usagi by the end of the series didn't wear a tiara anymore.

Depending on which version you use it's the one on the far left, Sailor Cosmos (Manga) or the right Eternal Sailor Moon (Anime)
