I noticed that birthdays were also lost in the transition. On the old TFF it shows 4 people who have birthdays today, and none for here. Though the birthday today thing may not even be part of this forum.

Birthdays aren't set by default. It's one of the things that wasn't carried over.

So even if it has the functionality, it won't display anything until people reset their ages.

It seems based off your browser but if you go to your CP and change the theme to Default then you should be good to go.
Edit: Indeed, I forgot about that quick theme change menu too.

Try using the theme named "Default." We'll be changing the autotheme soon- there's a Quick Theme Changer at the bottom of the forum.

Use Default will load Nostalgia.
Default will load the skin "Default"
and Nostalgia will load Nostalgia.

I really don't like the current theme. I much prefer user information to displayed on the left side of posts as opposed to the top. Who should I send a message to to gain access to the restricted section again?

Go into your user panel, enable "View classic mode"

Restricted section has no password.

Um... I got locked out of my old account because of the scrapping of emails (didn't even think to look at that, changed my password on my 3month schedule and well forgot the one I used for this new forum. Is there any way to get that account back? I can't get it to resend me a reset password link, other than trying to guess what I put in the password field I'm lost. It hasn't' been particularly active for a while but it had a couple thousand posts on the old forum.

The purpose of asking you to send a PM on the "old TFF" forum is for us to verify who you are. Just log in there and send me (chronodekar) a PM with your current email id. I'll update the corresponding account here.

Hmmm... a suggestion, though I do not know how viable it is as I do not know the underlying software well enough to know...

Can all the accounts on New TFF without emails be locked from posting until they put in an email... perhaps PM sent to each violator...

That would prevent this from occurring again I would think unless it is a first time log in. Perhaps a note in the new users thread if not already present that they need to do it... rather than threads, word of mouth, and even banner at top... since they don't seem effective.

Depends. There might be a way of setting user groups- however I doubt it. The myBB system is actually somewhat in limbo atm- you can't register an account without an email, so the fact that we have nearly 10k accounts with no email leaves the backend somewhat confused.


That's actually why you can't modify a user in the admin cp without an email address- it throws an error.

EDIT: Ended up sending two because I didn't notice that in order to see a message as being 'sent' I needed to check a box, so I didn't think the first went through.
