New short finished. This one is related to a currently unreleased story that I'll be writing later, but as it stands now, this short is able to stand on its own. Once the main story connected to it is released, I'll let everyone know what it is. Nanya, no giving hints. :V For now...
Surprise:
The sound of the toilet flushing was loud in the bathroom, and even that much noise was enough to make Teana cringe as she pushed herself up unsteadily from the linoleum. Clutching at her stomach, the redhead wobbled to the sink and reached for a toothbrush. She saw a glimpse of herself in the mirror and grimaced, as if she saw something hellish. The foul taste in her mouth didn’t help one bit.
“This is the seventh time I’ve thrown up…” she muttered to herself, then swallowed as she turned the water on in the sink. “I’ve got to find out what’s wrong with me…”
Her head swam as she brought the toothbrush up to her mouth, and she had to squeeze her eyes shut to get it to stop. “Dammit, work’s not happening today, not like this. She peeked an eye open to bring up a holographic phone screen, and her hand hovered over Subaru’s contact information. She paused, however, when she realized that Subaru was at work. “Dammit, that’s right,” she growled. “Who do I call then?”
Ginga was off-world, and Caro and Erio were both on Supools still… so who…?
“Nove,” she decided, moving her hands down the contacts list to push the button next to the redheaded cyborg’s name. A brief moment of humming was followed by the window blinking on, depicting Nove sitting on the couch in the Nakajimas’ living room, a Strike Arts magazine in her hands. She glanced up at the screen. “Hello… Teana?” she asked, looking confused and worried. “Is everything okay? You look like hell.”
She felt like hell. Her stomach turned uncomfortably, her head was throbbing, her hair matted down from sweating all night. Her rumpled and soaked shirt clung to her body.
“Please take me to see Shamal,” she asked blearily.
Nove only nodded. “I’ll be right over,” she said, putting the magazine down. Teana knew right away she had made the right choice. Kaiser knows she wouldn’t be able to put up with Wendi’s energetic attitude, not today and not like this.
Thankfully, Teana’s nausea had dissipated by the time Nove had taken her to the base she was assigned to, which, luckily for the redheaded Enforcer, was also where Shamal was currently stationed at. Her lightheadedness, frustratingly, stayed with her throughout most of the check-up, and the girl stubbornly maintained her seated posture on the table as she watched the fair-haired Wolkenritter skim through a series of windows, the results of her examination.
Finally, it looked like Shamal was done. She placed her hands on her hips and nodded to herself, and Teana found herself sitting up straighter. The sooner she knew what was wrong with herself, she could take care of it and get back to work and a more comfortable life. “So what’s the diagnosis?” she asked the medic knight.
Shamal blinked at her question and turned back to her, a smile that set the Enforcer at ease gracing her features. Offhandedly she waved away the results and turned to Teana in full, resting herself against the edge of the examination room’s countertop.
“There’s nothing for you to worry about, Teana,” she told her. “You’re perfectly healthy for a pregnant woman.”
There was nothing wrong with her? She’d been throwing up every day for a whole week and Shamal said nothing was—
Teana’s mind came to a screeching halt as she reviewed what the Wolkenritter had said.
“… run that one by me again?” she asked, her voice as shaky as her legs were this morning.
“You’re pregnant!” Shamal informed her brightly. “Congratulations!”
Silence reigned inside the chamber, as Teana stared dumbfounded at the base’s medical officer.
Then, an explosion of noise blasted out throughout the entire building, at such a level that Nove, waiting in reception, leaped out of her chair in fright and spilled scalding coffee all over her legs.
“I’M WHAT!?”

I'm betting on it being Vice as well.
Zaffy is more than likely out for all sorts of reasons. Griffith is... married I believe. So unless this is going to be a story about cheating and all the drama and fallout of that... Yeah. Same cheating theory applies with Chrono and Erio. And Yuuno is kinda... I'm not really sure I'd see Teana choosing him without good reason or proper buildup. Verossa is also there, but he has less character and relevance to her than anyone else I think.
Unless this is an Alcohol+Bad Decisions=Baby story, then all bets are off. Which would then include Thoma, DeVille, Fortis, and Veyron.

It's Mid-childa, not Japan. Mid-Childa might have a different age for legal drinking. It might be much lower than 18 or none at all. All hail, Cuba, Macau, Morocco, and Jamaica!
I highly anticipate that Vice is the one responsible for this. It could be the other married men, like Griffith or Chrono or even Genya, when they went out to drink and talk about something very important. The guy got so drunk that he might have mistaken Teana for his wife, while Teana, a hot dude or gal (Most of the men in the verse looked like pretty tomboyish girls), thanks to the alcohol that confuse her perception.

Teana and Touma might have suffered from sleep sex. When Teana want Touma to sleep in her bed, and hug him like a huge teddy bear. A sleeping arrangement that they would usually do when Touma was a lot more younger.

The anticipation of the reveal is simply growing stronger. And I've started to think up even more theories as to how this situation could have come about. It be a most intriguing mystery.
I don't think the amount of relief I feel upon hearing that can properly be expressed in words. Whether or not it has anything to do with writing preference, it still fills me with relief.

I feel my concerns are fairly justified. That said, I have two more shorts planned that are related to Surprise. However, one of them isn't actually connected to the pregnancy event, merely in the same 'verse/timeline as the pregnancy. The other is a follow-up from Teana's pregnancy surprise.

Seems back over on AnimeSuki, Surprise has inspired someone a possible continuation based off of a misunderstanding that I'm not going to go further with the idea, so I've renewed work on developing the story that is related to Surprise.
His idea has a vastly different concept and characterization behind Teana's pregnancy than mine does, though, so don't think that's a good indication on where Teana's pregnancy is going in my fics.
