So I was going around ff.net today killing some time before I went to work and moving my self through the Tenchi section which is pitifully small. Anyways I thought to myself "Ranma gets crossed over with everything even DBZ.... wait a sec wouldn't DBZ work with Tenchi?"

So ya, thats what I'm looking for Tenchi crossovers with DBZ or anything else really.

I actually have seen a Tenchi and DBZ crossover. However, it was not good:

TM-DBZ 'A Saiyan Child' by mysterious-mask - [Status=Complete] - [Last Dld=10/11/2002] - [Size=29kb]As for others...

Short and comedy oriented Tenchi/Abbot and Costello
TM-AC 'Who's on First Tenchi' by alighthawk - [Status=Single File] - [Last Dld=10/01/2004] - [Size=33kb]Tenchi/El Hazard. Interesting setup, but the writing was only so-so. Link may or may not work.
TM-EH 'Homecomings' by Kain the Seeker - [Status=Single File] - [Last Dld=05/01/2001] - [Size=254kb]Very nicely done, wish he would update Tenchi Multicrossover with Babylon 5, Sailor Moon, Hunt for Red October, and several others.
TM-MULTI 'Back Home Saga' by Warringer - [Status=Not Complete] - [Last Dld=06/13/2007]Spamfic Tenchi/Police Squad crossover
TM-PS 'Galaxy Police Squad' by DB Sommer - [Status=Single File] - [Last Dld=01/18/2003] - [Size=40kb]Spamfic Tenchi/Hellraiser crossover. Love the punchline.
TM-HELLRAISER 'Advent of the Cenobites' by PlatinumDragon - [Status=Single File] - [Last Dld=10/01/2004] - [Size=14kb]A handful of Tenchi/NGE and Tenchi OMG crossovers
TM-NGE 'Angels Heaven and Earth' by Ken Arromdee - [Status=Complete] - [Last Dld=06/14/2001] - [Size=397kb]TM-NGE 'Bonds of Love and Survival' by dennisud - [Status=Complete] - [Last Dld=09/02/2002] - [Size=337kb]TM-NGE 'Children of the Goddesses' by dennisud - [Status=Complete] - [Last Dld=02/10/2003] - [Size=93kb]TM-NGE 'Moving On' by deckman - [Status=Not Complete] - [Last Dld=10/27/2004] - [Size=81kb]TM-NGE 'Moving On Chapter 6' by Invincible Shinji - [Status=Complete] - [Last Dld=08/05/2008] - [Size=14kb]TM-NGE 'Savage Overture' by Angel17 - [Status=Complete] - [Last Dld=04/28/2002] - [Size=3706kb]TM-OMG 'Wishing A Conscience' by Phillip Masters - [Status=Single File] - [Last Dld=03/21/2001] - [Size=9kb]I remember a funny Tenchi / Barney spamfic, with Ryoko beating up Barney.

I also track some 86 Ranma/Tenchi crossovers, and a bunch more that are multicrossovers.

I think the problem with Tenchi crossovers is that it crosses over with so much already and has so many canonical realities that it's hard to come up with new stuff that doesn't feel wildly ooc from one or more interpretations.

Read the first chapter...

Surprisingly it is not bad... Though I think Ryoko acting a bit too far OOC for this. Later chapters might clear that up though.

Been thinking about doing a TM/Inuyasha cross myself, but I'm not exactly clear on the timeline, and the various universes confuse me >_<

Plus aside from the intro I really have no clue where to GO with it. I got one or two ideas, but I really really need a timeline for the older things. (Like say about 500 years before TM starts *Laughs*)

The problem with crossing something over with Tenchi is power levels. Seshomaru for instance is hot shit for a demon, the ruler of the western lands. He would probably rate a raised eyebrow of a Jurain noble before he was obliterated and they are by no means anywhere close to the true powerhouses in the Tenchi Univers.

Tenchi etc dont USE their powers much but everybody in the Masaki shrine with the exception of Mihoshi has the power to obliterate Earth. It's very hard to do something with that aka the DBZ syndrome. Tenchi Ova is by far my preference to the Universe but by nessasity you almost HAVE to use Tenchi Universe for the simple fact otherwise you run into the problem of 'How do I justify ANYTHING that would require the Inuyasha cast to be more than stunned bystanders"

But that's beside the point.

You mentioned THIS fic PCHeintz72

Very nicely done, wish he would update Tenchi Multicrossover with Babylon 5, Sailor Moon, Hunt for Red October, and several others.
TM-MULTI 'Back Home Saga' by Warringer - [Status=Not Complete] - [Last Dld=06/13/2007]

Personally I HATED that fic. It was written reasonably well... but the plot...my GOD.... I loathed it with every fibre of my being and stopped reading it or even acknowledge its existacne for hw much I wanted to go find the server that hosted those files and come at it with an axe. To put it quite bluntly....It destroy's TM cannon, the characters are butchered for no real reason. It's to much focused on so many people that its hard to keep track of, EVERYBODY seems to be assholes in the universe , the CHoushin have gone from 'The three Ultimate Lifeforms in the universe' to equivalents to the Vorlons and Shadows from B5, There is hardly any interaction between Tenchi and the people from the shrine which IIRC was his driving obsession to get home... Some things were done well but the deal with Ryoko and her 'joining' the US just plain pissed me of.

/Rant

Sorry, its been a while since I read that fic but I remember coming at it right after doing a complete watch of the OVA's (aka from Ryoko's first appearance to the reset following Z's attack)

Shrugs... to each their own... With the exception to how Ayeka was handled... I liked it. Wish he would continue it.

The problem with Ayeka is there is positively no way you are going to convince me She was able to have a keeper on her and Shadows on premises that long with the caliber of the people involved and the technology levels of the GP, Sasami's dreams and what she is a part of, and Washu... Yet is found out within minutes by Senshi.

Yes, I know that this thread is three months old, but considering the level of activity (or lack thereof) of the Tenchi Muyo subforum I think that no one here will mind terribly if I bump this with another crossover.

Original Sin
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1086211/1/Original_Sin

Complete. Oneshot crossover with Gargoyles, of all things.

Decent writing and, as far as I can see, reasonably good portrayal of both canons (although the fact that it was written before the release of OVA 3 or GXP means that some of the Tenchi Muyo info is dated).

on Warringer's Back Home: the amount of arguments i've had with the author and fans of that story over the completely oc characters, and the blatant Jurai bashing is mindboggling

Shrugs... except his method of ditching Nerima, and handling of Ayeka, I liked it.

Wish he would get back to it... nearly 2 years with no update on the mainline story.

Ehhh... I'm not on there... last time I was there I think was some 5 years ago.

I've been tracking his home page and even the Maximum Addventure and those have not been updated.

Then why have a personal website and the Maximum Addventure if he does not update them?

1. They are less visited
2. They are less easy to use
3. Back Home started on Spacebattles and receive good feedback there

as result his site is for achieve only. And Back Home is not MA title in the first place - only some spinoffs of it.

Back Home updated on FFN also. You're saying his own site is harder to use than FFN?

I didn't like Back Home either because of many reasons. However the treatment of the Senshi and Ayeka is what really kills it for me. I mean you want me to believe the Senshi detected something that Washu, one of the the Three Goddesses, did not? I'm sorry, not going to happen. So yeah I agree with PCHeintz on the heaviest issue, but not with it being a good story regardless.

It has many faults. That one stands out a lot to me at the moment, but the use of the Senshi in general makes me quiver with rage. I despise how that fic turned out. In fact I started writing my own addventure thread with the intent of making a similar story without the annoyances I had with that one. Sadly, such a premise is insufficient to build a story on.

That defies all comprehension. Dang it, the Wiki based home page even has a RSS feed I've been monitoring for all this time for updates... not a peep on it. You would think he could at least have posted a notice or something if he was just going to abandon it or something.

Likewise... The Maximum Addventure was somewhat recently redesigned, but does have some more recent updates to a few side stories and AU's of what I've been calling the mainline. But nothing on that main story track.

I spent 20 minutes earlier on SpaceBattles attempting to find it. And could not. What a convoluted site... colors don't help either. That is one wacky layout, especially odd since it is supposedly based off vBulletin....

Sigh... So... where the heck are the thread/threads that have the story. Can you provide direct links?

Note... I am specifically asking on the Dual War and direct sequels for chapter 58 on up... not any other storylines.

Oh yeah... and I was wrong... checking my downloads form that site, I went on once in 1997, several times in 1998-1999, 2 times in 2000, and 1 time in 2002.

So not 5 years, 7 years since I went there.

PCHeintz72, for future reference, this thread is pretty good for finding authors/stories on Spacebattles. As for further chapters of Back Home (and other updates) I suggest his fanfiction.net page. I'm not sure what "Dual War" is, if you could clarify that I might be able to find it.

My favorite story of his is "Minako Aino and the Secret Society", a spinoff of Going Home. This is mostly because it looks to have been avoiding the cardboard cutout character effect of his other fanfics. That might have just been the small amount written for it however. I honestly don't know.

Back Home the FFN edition. It goes up to chapter 60, not counting the prologue.

Ok... thanks...

For reference, I was going by how he had things titled on his home page... looking at Fanfiction.NET... he did not title the story sections consistent between locations.

Per his (apparently abandoned) home page. Back Home is split as follows:
Main story
- Back Home Part 1 Back Home Prologue, and Chapter 1-18
- Back Home Part 2 The Dual War Chapter 19-58
- Side stories (4 on site), not all same as ones on Maximum Addventure

There is also a section for Technology and Ship assignments/logistics

Per the Maximum Addventure page. Back Home is split as follows (last 5 are side arcs):
- Back Home
- Back Home - The Dual War
- Back Home - A new Home
- Back Home - After Nerima
- Back Home - Armageddon
- Back Home - Empire
- Back Home - The Da Nalio Case

I should note this story, in retrospect, gets around.
- I originally read what could be called Part 1 on the Anime Addventure site. Disagreements with KLSynth caused its removal.
- We were told then to read it at his old home page (really nasty yellow background and tons of popups).
- As an alternative to the old home page, we were told to read it at Maximum Addventure (I did not like the UI, so read it at the old home page)
- Then it was announced he had a new better site and we should use either it or the Max Addventure
- Then he started previewing chapters on Anifics for a while, but stopped.
- A while back... it was announced the Maximum Addventure was redesigned... however, it initially had sever issues working with IE due to whatever was used to code it. After input by several users, it was partially re-redesigned. To my knowledge, that is as it is now.

While I knew he was posting it at space battles, at no point was it ever announced that he would ever stop posting at his home page... since he was prone to long periods between updates nor am I a spacebattles member, I never checked back. Also, while I knew of his old FanFiction.NET profile, the last time I checked it years ago, it was not there. And while I in fact monitor the Tenchi category feed for FanFiction.NET... he has this under TV X-overs, which I can't recall ever once checking out, let alone monitor.

Switching to FanFiction.NET version to read chapter 58+.
