Spider-Man meets another red-head

The challenge here is to have Spider-Man aka Peter Parker meet someone other than Mary Jane/Gwen Stacy who is a red-head. There are a few rules to point out first.

1. No slash
2. No Gender-Bending
3. Stay in the Comics as far as crossover's go.
4. As a bonus, have Peter join the group that the red-head is in (He meets Jean Grey and joins the X-Men or He meets Barbra Gordan and joins the bat-family or He meets Pepper Potts and joins the Avengers)
5. NO OC'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The story can be action based and the romance as a side story or vise versa.

I would prefer at least 30k words but a one-shot could work out as well.

Edit: When I get a chance to I will be writing one or more one-shots to further this idea, provided that this computer doesn't die like the last 5 I've had.

30k words? You and me both... I had a couple of smaller snips that I thought I might toss together, but it sounds like you're looking for a full story, and I've already got a full plate.

Gonna have to beg off this one unfortunately.
