Random phantom.
I liked the Kingsglaive movie.

Obviously it's not for everyone, since if you hate FF15 I don't think you'll be that hyped for it, but I liked the parts where stuff actually happened. There was at least one point where I guess I'd agree was a total mistake and they should've used someone else for that, but that would probably have ended badly by the end anyway even if it hadn't gone that way.

Basically, the action sequences are fairly intense, they at least try to give characters their do, even Lunafreya does something cool [despite being the least powerful cast member overall and she's so resigned to her fate that it gets annoying even when you get what she's trying to do] and basically everything to do with General Glauca in the last act was awesome.

Would watch again, recommend to my friends, and hope people like it.

Fic recommendation: Dishonorable Discharge

(Genre: Humor) 'Seeking a new career, infantryman Cloud Strife attempts to get fired from ShinRa.'

This is a FFVII story where a disillusioned Cloud wants out of Shinra, and does many stupid (and hilarious!) things to be kicked out. He fails catastrophically. Sephiroth never went insane, Cloud doesn't want to be a SOLDIER, Angeal never left etc. etc. - it's an ideal world. Well, just read it.

Edit: it now is complete. It's not very large, at 12 small chapters, ~12,000 words in all.

So I love this opening. This is a great opening. Makes me very hype for the game next year.

Also of note, KH1.5 and 2.5 bundle for PS4 incoming.

That's right now you can enjoy, roughly, the entire current or upcoming games in the series on one system.

Also two drive modes revealed for KH3. Power Mode and Guard Mode, where you wield what is 'shaped like a hammer' but was censored because the blade is from a world they haven't revealed, and the other is a Shield.

Of course they do that AFTER I spend money on a PS3 and get those games. Of fucking course.

This is why I waited. I did buy a PS3, but I was intending to do that anyway once I finished all my PS2 games, to catch up on all the stuff I missed. Currently working my way through Folklore, and after that is Ni No Kuni, and eventually I intend to buy the Infamous games and get that Ratchet and Clank bundle and work through those.

And once I do and clear anything else that strikes my fancy on the PS3 (Might go through all the main R&C games if they're fun enough) I'll finally get to a PS4, and buy the whole lot, way later when the prices of both plummet.

Not sure if I'm going to buy Dragon's Dogma or not though, I'm halfway expecting Capcom to release that on PS4 too eventually.

I DID wait. Through pretty much the entire PS3's lifespan and most of the PS4's. And THEN they pull this?

Okay, that was solid. Now going to definitely look into that game later if that trippiness pans out.

Just started playing FFXV, but if these rumours about the ending are correct (The ones about how it ends, not the ones saying it becomes a linear corridor.) then hope Square fail to make their money back.

That's a horrible thing to wish over an ending. It's the journey that counts, not the destination.

Haven't heard about the ending itself, only people saying that they heard about it. Can it really be as bad as Mass Effect 3's?

Honestly I doubt it's that bad.

The ending is the most important part of a story. A bad ending can leave you feeling like you wasted all that effort.

Given FFXV only has a single game of build up, instead of three, so probably not.

But when the destination ends up invalidating the journey, what's left for you?

That's in Peggy Sue fanfics. When playing videogames, the ending plays quite a role... if one cares about the plot, that is.

Well when I beat the game I'll let you know how I feel.

Deal.

I don't have a PS4 (yet?), but Persona 5, Disgaea 6 and FFXV are the main reasons why I'm tempted to get one. Maybe in the Xmas sales.

Gladios, Ignis and Promptuo...congrats...I am officially revoking your magic privileges. Apparently you idiots do not realize that hurling an AOE spell into the middle of Melee is a bad idea....to say nothing of WASTING magic on trash mobs. I'll be the one using magic from now on...when appropriate.

Next time this game tells me the recommended level for a dungeon is level 50, I'm going to listen to it. Just did the Mines at level 39/40 with no status boosting meal, and now I have no Phoenix Down's, Potions or Elixirs. Bright side is, I did manage to kill the Boss, and collect the Royal Arm.
