Next time this game tells me the recommended level for a dungeon is level 50, I'm going to listen to it. Just did the Mines at level 39/40 with no status boosting meal, and now I have no Phoenix Down's, Potions or Elixirs. Bright side is, I did manage to kill the Boss, and collect the Royal Arm.
I'm going to guess you're either grinding out Hunts or have found other reliable ways to make money. At present some guy is dropping over 5,000 gil for photos so I've taken to doing his quests.

I will say that between the Regalia and hireable Chocobos, traveling from quest-to-quest, and hunt-to-hunt is no longer much of an issue...and since it's only 50 gil per day to hire a Chocobo, I'd say the cost is reasonable. That said, I've essentially dropped anchor as far as the main quest is concerned....I mean if I paid for 7 days of ride able Chocobo's I am going to GET my money's worth.

I've just been doing the Side Quests, some hunts and gathering the Royal Arms. Have you bought the upgrades for the Regalia that improve fuel efficiency?

I have. I might just be getting miserly but losing a lot of potions and downs would seriously annoy me due to the cost of replacing some of those items.

Gladio's survival skill refills some of them, and the rest can usually be found laying about. Although I'm not sure it was worth it, if only because I don't know if getting more RA improves the Armiger at all, since I stick to my Ultima Blade usually.

Not much of an issue now...I went through and sold the stacks of accessories I'd been hoarding, between that, and the camera missions I've done I am sitting at 31,000 gill...and I still have a ton of hunts to do so that's going to be at least 2,000 a pop...and since I'm at lvl 40 none of them should be a big challenge. The game plan right now is to stay away for several days doing quests and hunts and making money...then stay in the hotel by the seaside (the one that cost 10,000 gil) for a massive exp boost and see what that does to my characters.

Do the Aranea Highwind boss battle first. being to over levelled takes some fun out of it.

Any idea if we get to fight her again?

I've seen gameplay that suggests she comes back...but I will say no more due it possibly being a spoiler. On that note, I'll be offline for a bit. Need to finish this game so I can move onto The Last Guardian and knock that out before the end of the year.

You're referring to the Chapter 14/15 stuff, right? Not really what I meant by that... Oh well, as long as there's other Bosses as enjoyable to fight.

So apparently Square are actually listening to the complaints about FFXV and are going to patch in new content involving Ravus in Ch. 13.

Personally I'd rather they fix Luna fitst.

I don't know, being so soon since the release yet already making all the changes announced it feels to me like they released the game incomplete, without those parts, and are now finally fixing this...

They probably did. They were hyping the heck out of it and already gave a release date after a delay, after several years worth of more delays. There would have been blood if they delayed it further.

I'm somewhat thankful i've not picked it up yet. Probably going to wait till all these patches are live then pick it up for cheap.

There's also going to be items to allow for either a nerfed playthrough, or a god-mode playthrough as well as New Game+.

There's also talk of Multiplayer and creating your own custom character, but I honestly couldn't care any less about that.

I don't know how to feel about the dress up Aqua mode honestly. And holy crap, so many people are complaining about Sora's voice being off.

I mean, ffs HJO is like 28! Of course his voice is gonna sound different!  :headbanger:

If it's optional and there isn't anything too horrible I'm fine with it. If they tie it to stats or go full fetish fuel on Best Girl however there will be words. :p

As is though wings and adding some color changes is fine honestly. Not even bothered by the silly cat ears even. I was already thinking she should look different hanging so long in the dark world, though granted I don't know where she'd get new clothes. I was thinking she'd end up with longer hair however, thought it would be a nifty change. Provided granted that time doesn't work weird in that world, which is a possibility.

Completed FF 15, overall the story makes sense, it just needs some scenes fleshing out characters like Ravus. If the goal was to keep things to Nocts perspective...then their best bet would've been to have chapters dedicated to characters like Ravus...where you play as them and see the story from their side. Honestly you could probably build an expansion pack around Ravus and Aranea showing the Empire from their point of view...and you'd solve this issue. In the end, I enjoyed my time with the game but it does show signs that they had to cut some content out at the end, likely just to ship on time....though they SHOULD'VE cut out one section towards the end that just went on too long.

Also, though I know why Luna means so much to Noctis...I grew more attached to Iris due to interacting with her more in game....and it's rare that I like the 'Cute little sister' character.

They're adding in more Ravus content in a few months, as well as working on fixing Chapter 13, but it's gonna take a few months to do all the voice work and animating.

I'm only at the end of Chapter 8 and I just feel the story's a bit weak, and the the "relationship" between Noctis and Luna is just really shallow. Luna herself comes off as caring more for Noctis as the King of Light, than as a person, and they haven't interacted nearly enough for me to believe a relationship between them, but maybe they'll patch that in later. I can agree with Iris being better developed, she even got more development in Brotherhood than Luna did.

Also, what is the point of unlocking access to the best weapons in the game, after you've already beaten the final boss? And why do they share models with weaker weapons?

Looking forward to seeing some good Peggy Sue fanfics to fix the ending though.

Well, I did hear about a probable nerfed mode and new game +, also extra bosses are confirmed (SE CEO, for example)...
My brother just finished, just watched him fighting Ifrit and left to avoid spoilers. Asked him to download the Platinum Demo because I both heard it is more like a small prequel and that finishing it gives you Carbuncle in the game itself.

I'm actually good with the ending, so I won't say anything until others here complete it.

The thing with the story is...that it could've worked really well....but it would've taken a lot more time. To keep it vague....they needed to open the game up some more in the final chapters, show more of how the various characters within and without the empire are impacted by the actions of the heros and the antagonists....and give them all a chance to play off each other so certain revelation have more impact. That would've taken a LOT of time to make work right, I feel, and since this game had already taken so long I'm not surprised they cut it down to what it is.

Well, it was originally designed as a trilogy... Personally, I just don't feel like you really accomplish anything. You fail to stop the villain from accomplishing any of his goals.

I'm kind of glad I didn't buy this game at launch now. With all this talk about Square-Enix making plans to improve the gameplay and fix the plot with patches, I think I'll be better off waiting for the GOTY/Definitive/Ultimate edition of the game so I can get the best experience on my first playthrough.
