I'll be watching this just because Dafoe is voicing the Shinigami. That alone will make it worth it.

I am interested in how will they present L as a black mentally erratic teenager, considering he looked like some hyper focused weirdly dressed tall guy .

Ryuk will at least be voiced by a good voice, notLight looks exactly as one would expect of a kid that casually starts murdering people because he can get away with it.

I am a tiny bit concerned over how much stuff will they go with within the movie and if it will be a contained story, or an unfinished one.
