Teen Titans Ideas

But it's been dead for going on four years, and not even I want to preform that big of a Necro.

So, any Teen Titan ideas?

Here's several to start things off with:

In the Comics, the Original Teen Titans were composed of Robin, Aqualad, and Kid Flash, and they were later joined by Speedy and Wondergirl. What do you think of a story with this group instead of the shows? Of course, ondergirl will basically be an OC, since there isn't a TV show canon Wondergirl.

Later, in the 80's, we had the new Teen Titans, composed of the group seen in the show plus Kid Flash and Wondergirl. What would adding those two characters change?

And finally, an idea that I'm working on making into a fic myself, what if there had never been a Robin? What if Dick Grayson had never become Batman's wards? What if he 'became his own man'?

What if Dick became Red X?

This idea may involve Red X becoming a Villian Antagonist, but at the very least he'd be an Anti-hero.

Thought? Or Ideas?

There are several threads I'd necro if it wasn't for the fact that i don't double post.

Sometimes zeebee, you gotta do what you gotta do... If that means double posting, then that's what you gotta do... :sisi: :sisi:

I would have to agree. Sometimes, if its worth it, you have to bear a few small shames. Various Gods above know that I would. But then again, I'm just some newbie that hangs around and shoots off Ideas and comments.

Personally, any TT idea I would have would be Animated Series Universe, along with the Teen Titans GO! Comics weaved in. And would most likely have Jinx and Terra in some sort of Starring or Supporting Roles since that is what I am familiar with.

I hate how people hate on Terra. Sure she was a Mega-Bitch in the TT Comics, but the cartoon Terra was different. That, and I totally love how BeastBoy went Homicidal over her near the end of the series on Slade. That was a crowning moment of Awesomeness for BB. I was somewhat divided when it turned out to be a Slade-Bot, but still. Seeing BB trying to honestly kill Slade with the absolute most lethal uses of his various transformations with incredible. Especially the T-REX Finisher, that was gold and almost worthy of a Mortal Kombat Fatality.

Jinx, Jinx is perhaps my favorite Villain. Hell, she uses juiced up bad luck to whoop your ass. I just really wish they would sort out the explanation for the power. First its Magic, then its Psionics, then its both and then its neither. Really, sort it out people!

Anyways, her Character starts out Shallow, but by the end of the series and into the Titans Go comics it gains a surprising amount of depth that you just have to admire.

I actually have a FF Project with a friend called the DJA Project that has a Jackie Chan Adventures/Teen Titans X-over with Jade and Jinx in starring roles.

New Idea:

In one of the Justice League Episodes, there was a team called the Royal Flush, a group that was based on the Titans. They had the same voice actors as the Titans, but they had different powes.

What if the Titans had those powers instead?

Jack, voiced by the same guy as Beast Boy, had the ability to strecth greatly.

Ten (Cyborg), had enormous strength and durability.

King (Robin) could shoot fire from his hands.

Queen (Raven) had power over metal.

And Ace (Starfire) had the ability to drive huge amounts of people horribly insane.

Note, this idea could be 'All the Titan switch powers with their counterparts' or 'only a few do.' Honestly, I think the idea would work just fine if only Startfire changed, simply because it's a huge enough change to build a whole story out of.

Actually, I've decided like that idea better; none of the other changes really effect the series.

The thing is, Starfire's powers are (too my knowledge) part of her Tamaranian physiology.. So you would either need to add those new powers on top of her current ones.. Or else explain why she isn't like the rest of her race..

And as for Raven, changing her powers and skill set would essentially change her entire history and personality. Her powers stem from the monks of Azaroth who trained her because she was Trigon's daughter.. Without that training, her personality would be a lot different.. And without the training from Azaroth, she wouldn't have the ability to control her emotions... And we've all seen what happens when that happens...

I don't remember the Cartoon canon so well (I'm rewatching the whole series, but haven't re-finished it), but in Canon, her ability to fly and shoot starbolts (along with Blackfire's) was a result of the two of them being kidnapped by aliens and being forced to undergo horrible, sadistic experiments.

I think her superstrength is hers, though.

So you could do several things. You could say that she was never kidnapped, and is instead just another metahuman. You could, as you said, add those powers on top of her own. Or, you could do my favorite, and just say that instead of forcing her to absorb huge amounts of energy with the intent of seeing how much she could take before it killed her, the Psion's mess with her brain instead (hell, they're even called Psions).

As for Raven, yeah, that would be hard to do. Though I must admit, I wouldn't mind seeing a Magneto!Raven.

Cyborg with those powers would be game breaking. he had strength and durability and par with Superman.

I would also like to point out that giving Robin super powers pretty much takes away a lot of his appeal... People love Batman b/c he DOESN'T have superpowers and the same goes for Robin...

DCAU Superman, who was, while strong, pretty laughable compared to any comic book version after the Gold Age.

Maybe, but that's one of the reasons why I decided the focus on Ace/Starfire. Also, on one hand, a story about Robin with powers would focus on Robin being cool using his powers, instead of Robin being cool without them; different stories and all that. On the other hand, for all that we're supposed to believe that they're normal humans, those two make that kind of hard to believe, even in the comics. In the show? Robin often makes fifteen foot jumps, throws weapons hard enough to rend steel, and takes down guys like Cinderblock with his bare hands. Robin's humanity is kind of an Informed Ability.

Comic book Batman is somewhat better at seeming human...but only in his own comic. The moment he teams up with the League (or en just Superman), the writers throw his Humanity out the window, so he can keep up (and so we don't wonder why the hell this guys on the team). Batman in his own comics generally has trouble with enemies like Two Face and the Joker, and even against large amounts of faceless mooks. Outside it...well, that's where the whole Batman is God thing comes from.

For example, those times he easily takes down guys that were giving Wonderwoman and the Martian Manhunter trouble (who, in a non-bullshit setting, would just rip his arms off before the signals from his brain could even reach his hands), not to mention any and all times he more then momentarily bothers Superman (who should be and is able to run fast enough too pick up a snack in France, bath in the Nile, Get dressed in Metropolis, and still have time to get back to Gotham before Batman's hand could get anywhere near that ring of his, and Bitch slap Bruce into the Sun).

Quite frankly, this is how it should go:
