I am interested in this. It's been years since I've been in a forum RP, but I'll try to whip up a profile in a few hours.

Question: If I modify my character and bring him into the game, would you like it if I also brought his nemesis along for the ride, playing both a good guy and a bad guy?

Remember this fun fellow?

Look how happy he is! See the big grin?

Here!

Name: Marisa M

Description: Neck-length black hair, dark brown eyes. Wears a long-sleeved pink blouse, white skirt cut just above the knee, and a cream-colored muffler cut off at slightly above the elbows. She is a petite girl, standing a little less than five feet tall.

Affiliation: TFF Academy City citizen, but mostly to herself and her studies

Picture: None as of yet

Theme Song: The Locked Girl, link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4Q5Oq-cBn4

Background: Marisa M is the thirteenth sister out of twenty-six, all named Marisa. They all look different, and they always have a letter after their names to identify them from each other. The sisters and their parents are wanderers. With so many of them, they were taught to be independent and self-reliant. The children are given an option to set off on their own upon turning thirteen, which Marisa M did.

She first lived in FF.Net with occasional trips to the bizzare world of 4chan, but moved to TFF when the Yaoists became too prevalent. She quickly got a house near the slums and dumped her massive collection of books there.

Marisa is a reclusive person, preferring solitude and research to social interaction. She often spent all day in her house, reading and experimenting, and only coming out to get food, find more books, or go on a trip somewhere that's relevant to her research. She talks very little and usually very quietly.

It was the attack by the Yaoists that shattered her quiet life, destroying her house and damanging many of her books. She took what she could, but was still crestfallen at the ones she lost. Realizing that she can no longer ignore the Yaoists like before, and mentally blames them for the destruction of her prized books, but she is too distraught to do anything...at first.

Abilities: Marisa has, through years of training and research, mastered the art of manipulating magic without using any catalysts. Her style is primarily offensive, since the best defense is a good offense after all. Coined the little girl with the big guns, she has many spells that focus on destruction and only a few defensive ones. Her magic is purely magic, without any elemental traces. Her achievements (and power) are very impressive for someone who is but an ordinary human.

Flight - Marisa can move, float and hover using her magic. She can also fly, but not as fast as she would like. She can also use her magic while in this state, and one of her most deadly area attacks is spinning Twin Magicannons.

Magicannon - Shoots a large white laser in one direction, using both hands.

Twin Magicannons - Shoots two large white lasers using both hands, in any direction she wishes.

Heartbreaker - Throws a spear of pure magic at a target, giving it much longer range than the Magicannon at the cost of hitting only targets in a line instead of a larger area.

Shooting Star - Marisa can propel herself in one direction extremely quickly for several seconds using her magic. Can be used for both offense and defense.

Grand Cross - Marisa rises to the air and surrounds herself with a damaging cross-shaped pillar of magic, heavily damaging everything around her.

Binding Circle - Binds everything in a small area for as long as Marisa can hold the spell. Can be used on midair targets. She is weaker in things not partaining to mass desruction, so she can't hold it for too long.

Items of Importance:

Magic Reactor - A small wooden cube two inches on each side, this is a piece from an ancient tree planted on top of one of the world's primary magic leylines and refined with magic. The cube absorbs residual magic from Marisa and the surrounding area and acts as a booster and/or battery. Marisa also uses this to kick-start her magic after a spell so she can fire them rapidly.

Subspace Pocket - Her other skirt pocket has subspace woven into it, enabling it to hold much more than it looks, but the space is not unlimited. She mostly keeps books there though.

Books - Lots and lots of books on various magical things. Sometimes has other kinds of books.

Basically what Vex said, yes. Also, Zero, drop one of your NPCs and try to flesh the other one out, if you don't mind. You can introduce the other one later, once the ball gets rolling.

Well, here I go. Let me know if you need anything fixed, and I'll work on it. Looking forward to having some fun with you guys again.

Character: Xaosite
Race: Human/Minor God Of Dice
Age: 25

Design/Look: A pale white guy with blonde hair and blue eyes, somewhat overweight, dressed in a plain blue t-shirt, blue jeans, sneakers, and a black coat. However, he, and his clothing, are covered in a network of what appear to be cracks, as if he were made of glass, broken, and glued back together. Occasionally, one of these apparent pieces flips around. His movements are overexaggerated and showoff-y. He is holding a cloth bag that looks like a skull, which contains dice of all shapes and sizes.

Affiliation: The TFF, though loosely. He's not in this because he has to, he's in this because he wants to be.

Picture (Or close enough):

Theme Song: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Opening

Background: Belief is a stronger and stranger force than most people, well, believe. Life shapes belief, but belief also shapes life. After all, how else can unreal things become real?
Once, belief throughout the multiverse went into a great upheval. That's an understatement, actually. It was turned upsidedown, insideout, streched and compressed in all directions, all at the same time. Then is changed back, almost back the way it once was. This sort of thing happens all of the time, and usually goes without notice. Usually.
This one did not. Through no merit or fault of his own, one young man, out in the multiverse somewhere, stopped being what he was, who he was, and become a minor god, one who's domain was dice. His name wasn't was it was, but was now Xaosite. As a new and minor god, he had but one follower. Testing and exploring the nature of his newfound godhood he arrived at TFF Academy to hopefully find and convert new followers. Failing that, he had a feeling that it will be an interesting time. And it was.
Then the interesting times came to a sudden end, leaving him in uninteresting times. But, the God of Dice is always on the lookout, and is ready to play another game. Plus, there is another out there, one of those mirror images of a person you sometimes hear about. One that he has to deal with. Not because he is responsible, but because he needs to be stopped, and that's all there is to it.

Weapon/Powers: Dice, of all shapes and sizes, are his weapons, and his tools. He also carries a huge number of rulebooks in an extra-dimentional space that define what effects those dice can have. He can manage all sorts of magical feats, though his powers are limited. Furthermore, there is still the chance that he will roll poorly, and suffer the consequenses.

Equipment: His clothing, more dice than you can count, more rulebooks than you can shake a forest at.

Name: The Jester

Design/Look: The figure bore the appearance of a psychotic jester gone wrong. The clothing was of the steriotypical jester motley, with bells on the shoes, a jester's cap, also with bells, frock and pants, the works. However, it was all blood red and bone grey. The symbols that jesters usually had on their clothing, like card suits, were missing. Instead, they ran in a random set of stipes, evoking the images of straps used to restrain insane asylum inmates. The figures movements were odd in a distubing way that defied definition. The sound the bells made had the same distubing nature. It's face looked like a mask, with pitch black empty eyeholes, and unnaturally huge grin frozen on it's face. He was a creature straight from a cave below the bottom of the uncanny valley.
It should be noted that when he speaks normally, it sounds like something coming from a mangled recorder, "An/D s`oUNds sOmthI~nG l+ikE THi=S."

Affiliation: Himself, if even that. But he's perfectly willing to fake it, if he thinks it will get him closer to his goal, or just for the fun of betraying them later.

Picture (Or close enough):

Theme Song: Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Tabuu Theme

Background: Out in the multiverse, there are beings who's purpose is to make sure the rules are followed. And at the cosmic level, there are those who's rules are to make sure that atoms spin, that light follows it's speed limit, and that when gravity takes ahold and something falls, the proper forms are filled out. In triplicate. These are the Auditors of reality.
And they hate life. It's so... so... messy. Imprecise. UNMEASUREABLE. What unit can measure the beauty one sees in a sunrise, what form can record the inspiration one sees in a noble gesture, the horror at a depraved one? They can't, and they cannot understand it. As such, they seek to end it. One of those attempts was the creation of The Jester.
The Jester, created from the power stolen from Xaosite during the Christmas Caper, went on to wreak havoc on life, and existance for that matter, from the moment he came into being. Though the battles that followed, The Jester eventually was defeated by Xaosite, but managed to escape, and wait for his opportunity to come back and finish everything. EVERYTHING.

Weapon/Powers: He can tear reality itself apart, using pure void as weaponry. Typically, he forms it into dice, which he uses as projectiles, or blades, which he uses as melee weapons.
He has also started to alter the appearance of himself and his powers, so that he might hide his true nature from the perception of others.

Equipment: Nothing, really. He relies almost entirely on his powers, though he isn't above grabbing a handy weapon for the fun of it. For that matter, he isn't really above doing anything.

/Yeah I've only just caught up on this thread. My internet connection has been pretty creaky because it's been raining so much.

That's part of where I got the idea from, heh heh. You should watch the whole movie, if you get a chance.

Go ahead and have one, if you want. Just keep in mind that acoustics (wood) usually break apart more easily than electrics (not wood).

You could just go the Haruhara Haruko route. You know, Electric Guitar +3 of awesomeness. Flight capabilities, a machine gun, chainsaw...

Is there anything that guitar can't do?

Name: RC (rotingCORPSE)

Description: 5'7, short dark hair and dark eyes, 20 odd years old

Affiliation: "freelance"

Picture:
My Mech suit

Theme Song: Stiff Upper Lip by AC/DC

Background: The new guy on the block, having moved to TFFA from parts unknown, looking for the simple life or so he thought.

CORPSE fancies himself a firearms expert when in truth he is simply a gun nerd having collected some unique and rare weapons including a Bio Mechanical Suit that allows him to use a huge missile launcher that fires a range of conventional and elemental rockets, the launcher also has a Seig Kit attachment for that extra fire power.

he seems to don't give a fuck about things mainly because he's to lazy too give one. Most of the time he just wanna stay at home and watch his shows.

Abilities: expert marks man, incredible intuition/gut feeling and misc. predictions

Items of Importance: a wallet containing stuff from his past that he never bothered to throw a way, like that old bus ticket from 3 years ago. some keys are attached to it by a key chain, including one for his apartment and some others he forgot where to use on.

I might be a little late, but we need another bad guy.

Also, feedback is requested, as I have never actually created a character in this kind of setting before.

Name: Llama

Description: Shorter person in a baggy hoodie and baggy pants. No one is actually sure what Llama actually looks like under the hoodie, nor what gender he/she/it is.

Affiliation: Yaoi Forces. While not true member of the yaoi forces, is an independent contractor called in to fight for the forces of yaoi, although he/she/it was surprisingly willing to fight against the forces of TFF. Despite this, he/she/it is willing to fight against the forces of yaoi if need be.

Theme Song: November Rain - Guns 'N Roses

Background: An enigma in that Llama seems to have no real history, as he/she it is using a assumed name. Strangely, throughout the entire time his/her comrades have known llama, he/she/it has never actually spoken, instead preferring to use a voice box. However, he/she/it does appear to have a specific grudge against the TFF collective. Joined the Yaoi forces by walking up to them and asking to fight in the upcoming war.

Abilities: Good speed, (pretty much the whole ninja speed from naruto) a natural talent for hammer-space (although he/she/it can seemingly only carry chocolate and explosives in it) As well as the ability to retreat very well. If a battle isn't going well, expect Llama to get the hell out of dodge.

Items of Importance: Twin magical bandannas worn on the face that each give a specific benefit. The first, worn on the top of the head, prevents psychic intervention on the wearer, while the second gives a sort of low level stealth (essentially that he/she/it can hide well. A voice box that sounds suspiciously like the turrets from portal, and Llama is able to use it even when both hands are not free...somehow.

Here's mine

Michael
Age: 26
Hair: Blue
Eyes: Brown
Height: 5 feet 11 inches.
Race: Human
Fight styles: A mix of Jackie chan-s drunken fuu, his use anything as a weapon-fu, and Spike's Jeet Kun Do.

Affiliation: Unaligned.

Appearance: Messy brown Hair, short sleeved dark green t-shirt, black jeans, thin black jacket, and black hiking boots. Has a uniform from his former military service hidden somewhere in his closet.

Weapons: Machettes, a katana, a Jericho 941 pistol, and several bowie knives.

Powers: Spells like a traditional dungeons and dragons wizard, several slayer-esque spells though the more powerful ones he doesn't tend to use often.

Background: Former soldier for Axis Zeon that worked directly under Hamn Kn. However he eventually was discharged from service since Zeon has decided to no longer involve itself with outsiders. Since then he's taken up doing mercenary work with Locke during his downtime. Most of the time when he's not on missions he slacks off not really caring what the warring factions are up to.

Name: USS Sojourner, NCC-2357
Class: Avenger Mk. II-class fast destroyer
Length: 298m
Width: 95m
Height: 45m
Decks: 15
Displacement: 480,000 tons
Crew: 67
Performance: Warp 6.8 (cruise), Warp 9.1 ("maximum"), Warp 9.9 (max. emergency)
Armament: 2x twin phaser banks; 6x single phaser banks; 4x single shot photon torpedo tubes (fore/aft); 1x heavy phaser cannon (The Big F*cking Gun)

History: Among the last Avenger-class destroyers in Starfleet, the Sojourner has been in service since the days of Kirk. Built as a fast destroyer, her agility and acceleration make her a match for even the latest Starfleet designs at sublight. Her formidable armament made her perfect for fire support, commerce raiding and anti-piracy missions, and her large shuttle bays allowed her to swiftly deploy shuttles for boarding actions. Indeed, a tradition began among Avenger crews to fly Jolly Roger flags made of stiff polymers on the hull after successful missions.

Sojourner herself has become infamous in recent years as a ship of the weirdos, outcasts, and rogue officers of the fleet-The people Starfleet doesn't want in the spotlight. Ironically enough this may be why she is still in service-A large amount of her chief engineers have been decidedly "unconventional" in their approaches to her systems. Given that Starfleet's big wigs try to pretend Sojourner does not exist, she is nowhere near her original specifications and her chances of passing a Federation safety inspection are practically nil.

Which gives the ship an advantage-Nobody would suspect a tiny, outdated ship like her of being able to run circles around them, screw with their sensors and computers, or otherwise totally own them. And that's just her modifications-Her crew is a whole other level of crazy. Still, they may be crazy, but they're not stupid-In open combat, Sojourner is no match for ships out of her weight class. Hence her decidedly un-Starfleet like approaches to combat.

Thanks to her current chief engineer's latest experiment while drunk on gin mackerel, she has appeared in orbit above TFFA's world.
Crew profiles to follow.

Okay, here's the bio on Captain Carter for the RPG. I'll add some profiles for the rest of the crew as soon as I put them together.

Name: Captain Adam Natalie Carter

Description: Tall, slim, athletically built man. Brown hair, blue eyes, usually wears a Starfleet uniform. Off-ship he wears a long black duster and fedora over his uniform.

Affiliation: Neutral for the moment, Anti-Yaoi in principle

Theme Song: Firefly - Main Title

Background: Born in Mamceaster, Cydonia Mensae, Mars, Adam Carter grew up on a ranch with his mother and father. His family were traditionalists, descended from a British colony founded on Mars in 2120 for the purposes of living how they wanted to, away from Earth. As most colonies on Mars were founded with this goal in mind, the world has maintained a sense of independence and wry amusement at Earth and the Federation, even into the 24th century.

Adam joined Starfleet as soon as he was old enough like many other people did-To get a degree, some real world experience, and settle into civilian life. Hence his degree in law, though he minored in command simply because he needed the extra credit to pass. Assigned to the USS Kyushu as a junior security officer and legal assistant, he was looking forward to a relatively uneventful few years tour of service before starting up his own practice.

This all changed with the battle of Wolf 359. He was the only survivor out of a crew of over 500, all either killed or assimilated by the Borg. He lost his right arm and left leg, and was subsequently forced to get prosthetic replacements. The battle changed Adam, making him think about the size of the universe, the fragile nature of life... And filled him with hatred of the Borg and a desire to kick the ass of anything that tried to destroy everything he held dear. He worked and rose through the ranks, finally joining the Judge Advocate General as a top attorney, his eventual intent to gain starship command. He gained the nickname of "The Cheshire Cat", for his intimidating smiles and ability to trap witnesses and defendants with their words when they least expected it. He was a rising star...

Until he tried to court martial Captain Kathryn Janeway for dereliction of duty. Janeway was the Golden Girl of several Starfleet admirals, being groomed as a female Kirk, whereas Carter was a self-made man with a history of telling the brass to bugger themselves when he felt he was right. The case was weak, and was lost, but Janeway and her supporters, being rather vindictive, got Carter to "take a leave of absence" from JAG. He was subsequently assigned to the USS Sojourner, where it was hoped he would be forgotten.

However, it is aboard the USS Sojourner that Carter has found his home and purpose. Leading his crew in pride at their weirdness, their differences, and taking advantage of the fact that Starfleet ignores them, Sojourner has become something of a terror of the spacelanes, cheerfully enforcing regulations with the crew decked out and acting like pirates from Earth's 19th century. Wackiness abounds on the ship, from dolphin super engineer Tweek's weird experiments, to ace hacker Mitena Haro's flirtations and frequent pranks on Starfleet computers, to their Doctor, the mysterious Kes, who just dropped into their laps one day out of the blue, and has since become an invaluable member of the crew.

During the Dominion War, Sojourner was an excellent commerce raider, infiltrator and reconnaissance vessel, using unconventional tactics and the psychology of the Dominion against them. After the war, they seemed set to
actually begin gaining some respect... Until they accidentally blew up a sun.
The incident has been classified pending further investigation and Sojourner has been assigned various duties to try and keep her out of the spotlight.

Despite Starfleet's intentions to keep Sojourner out of anything big, to present a friendly, politically correct face to the universe, the little ship keeps getting into bigger and bigger messes, and keeps finding ways out, from battles with interdimensional aliens to the Romulan Empire.

With a crew that is utterly loyal to their captain and a tendency to get into the right sorts of trouble, Carter is considering thanking that arrogant witch Janeway when she gets back from the Delta Quadrant, for the best thing to ever happen to him.

Abilities: Adam Carter is a human from Mars in the 24th century. Despite the lower gravity he grew up with he is perfectly fit. He is an able captain and negotiator, able to inspire people to follow and skillfully convince opponents to make amends. He has been trained in forensic science and psychology as part of his law degree and is an excellent detective as well as lawyer. He is devious, cunning, and thinks in unconventional ways, though he is not particularly technically inclined and admittedly only understands the basics of starship technology and stellar physics. He has a slight phobia of holodecks and is paranoid about an Evil Lincoln trying to kill him. He is an excellent marksman from years of practice with various weapons since he was a boy, and is well trained in hand-to-hand combat. However, he is utterly worthless with most melee weapons, aside from a simple knife. He has a sword for "Act Like a
Pirate" days on-ship, but it is made of hard plastics as when he tried to use a real sword he nearly killed himself.

His right arm and left leg are artificial, as he is allergic to biosynthetic replacement limbs. They are built of high-strength poly-ceramics and alloys, and can withstand blasts from energy weapons with no loss of function. They give him a mild strength boost, but are most useful in combat due to being so hard and not suffering fatigue or strain like organic limbs. However, the rest of Carter is organic and thus vulnerable.

Curiously, his mind cannot be read by telepaths. He himself can't explain it.

Items of Importance: Phaser pistol, personal forcefield generator, hat, synthetic arm and leg, duster, communicator, tricorder.

And the sweet part is that as far as I'm concerned, there's no such thing as a Transdimensional Prime Directive so the Sojourner can freely muck around with events in our TFF universe...

I plan to bring that up when I get my character to meet up with the Sojourner crew at some point...

I'm suddenly very glad I convinced you to join, AJT.? I love the stuff Sojourner gets up to, and putting them in the TFFA-verse is asking for logic to curl up and die.
Well, I'm happy to be aboard, heheheh. Until I get the other profiles finished, here's a basic readout on some of the goodies Sojourner has:

TCP-SCN07 Type II Phaser Pistol: After two decades of the Type II "wand" phasers, Starfleet decided that a sturdier phaser with the ability to serve as an effective blunt weapon when expended was needed. Chosen from a variety of submitted designs from various firms, the KL Armaments TCP-SCN07 was quickly snapped up and mass produced for the Starfleet Marines and front-line combat starships. Explorer and survey-class vessels have been among the last to receive this new phaser pistol, many in Starfleet still clinging to the notion that everything, even their weapons, being non-offensive was the key to preserving peace.

Understandably, in the wake of the Dominion War these voices have begun to quiet. Thanks to Haro's skills as a hacker, the Sojourner was able to get their hands on the replicator designs of these new weapons and have put them to good use.

http://www.treknology.org/new/tcp-scn07_ty...pistol-and1.jpg

TAR-SCN04 Type III Phaser Rifle: The standard issue phaser rifle since the 2360s (Note: TNG/DS9 era), the TAR-SCN04 is sturdy, reliable and effective. While not as "glamorous" as the TPR-SCN08 phaser rifle (most famous for it's use aboard the Enterprise-E against the second Borg attack), the TAR-SCN04 has remained in service, affectionately referred to as the "Cobra" by the Starfleet Marines.

One flaw of it's design, and a flaw in other phaser weapons of the same era, is it's low firing rate due to the design of it's firing button. Subsequent models have been upgraded with a new trigger and ignition system, increasing the firing rate of the rifle considerably and increasing it's effectiveness against multiple enemies.

SCCFF-02 Type II Personal Forcefield: Contrary to popular holomedia depictions of famous crews of the last decade, such as Trek of the Enterprise-D or Deep Space Nine, Starfleet does not send it's away teams into potentially hostile environments with only their uniforms for protection. Personal forcefields have only recently become viable in the last few years but have been passed out to every Starfleet ship and installation in the Federation. The SCCFF-02 model is standard issue, producing a skin-conformal, multi-spectrum protective forcefield around the user. It has been rated against disruptors, phasers and even projectile weapons, and is able to protect it's user from a single shot from a phaser set to it's second highest setting. The device was totally drained and the wearer suffered first and second degree burns, but suffered no other injuries. As it is inefficient to set energy weapons to such a high level, personal forcefields have provided excellent protection against enemy fire over the last few years, all throughout the Second Federation/Klingon War and the following Dominion War. It also provides protection from hostile weather, fire, concussion shock and shrapnel.

Sojourner has gotten a lot of use out of personal forcefields over the years.

*weapon info*
Uwee-hee-hee-hee... finally, weapons for Nanashi and Watashiwa. Thanks to their, ah, "unique" abilities, melee weapons tend to disintegrate when they use 'em.

Anyway, I've been watching the second half of TTGL. And you know what that means. Ridiculous space battles and giant robots.

And suddenly, I have a very fierce desire to see, during our last spacebattle, Haro and Tweek come up with an idea based on TTGL. Something along the lines of:

Adam: Dammt! Sojourner can't take too much more of this!

Haro: That's okay, captain. Tweek and I have made a number of adjustments to Sojourner that'll allow us to easily defeat these guys.

Adam: As much as it pains me to say it, we have no other choice. Tweek, do it!

Tweek: Aye aye captain! Activating Spiral engine~!

Adam: *thinking* Hey... that sounds awfully familiar...

Sojourner: Awesome transformation sequence.

Haro: So, what do you think, captain?

Adam: :huh!: I can't believe it! You turned my ship into a giant robot!

Tweek: And that's not all! GATAI!!!

Other fleet ships: Awesome combination sequence

Adam: Kill. Me. Now.
