For those of you that, like me, has gotten hooked on facebook, there's now an official facebook group for TFF @

Facebook is a cleaner version of MySpace without the bands to my knowledge. I've never gone there myself though.

Nor do I plan to. I like being unknown on the net.

I guess, considering their exponentially growing popularity, that it must be just me, but I can't understand the appeal of either FaceBook or MySpace. Especially since all the dumb lawsuits started over virtual property and whatnot. It is as if people could not find enough ways to sue in real life.

I generally check on several forums multiple times per day. I am perfectly willing to communicate with others online by either forum specific PM's or general email.

However , I'm unwilling to bother with either older style chat, or the newer forms of communication such as texting/MySpace/FaceBook. I guess I am becoming an old fogy or old geezer.

Heck, I don't even bother with a cell phone, as I view them as all but worthless outside of true emergencies.

EDIT: No, not really, I am a college student and I hate texting people, I would rather call someone, but I hate talking to people on the phone, as a lot of a conversation is in body language, but I don't mind IMing people.

It reminds me of a time when everybody around me was into Nexopia or something else. Never bothered with it then, and I certainly won't today.

Thanks to a hacker or two (i.e. my younger brother and a friend of his), I've never been able to view a full/complete page of Facebook on my laptop. :rant: Wish I could join, although I know I won't be missed.

It is not just you. I mean - it look a very long time before online chat programs like MSN caught on for me, and even then, I go on very infrequently (mostly to discuss school work/projects and the like). I guess I am one of those technology dinosaurs...

Well, I'm a new part of the Facebook group. Not like it adds anything, but I'm there. TFF was awesome enough as a forum, now it's on facebook. I wonder if this is Hawk's beginning step in trying to run the world.
