Chris panted quietly on the floor unable to turn and see what was going on he could listen though. He even mustered up a small growl at the specimen comment.

:Chris, and you led a sheltered childhood if you can't tell what I am. And it's certainly not a speciman:

It was a tired sending, as he fought outright passing out there on the floor.

The Magus raised an eyebrow.

"Sheltered...? Well, I wouldn't know of you. Bix..." He closed his eyes for a moment.

"...A pocket monster? Interesting." As he opened them, they flashed blue, before returning to their previous color.

"It seems though, that I have pressing business elsewhere. I can sense much unique sorcery in this world. And I will master it all." He turned to go, and whirled back around.

"What...?"

He locked eyes with me, and then began walking forward.

Shit, this can't be good.

"Such a unique binding..."

"I must know it's secrets."

He raised his hand, and began charging something.

If someone's doing something ominous like that, HURT them!

You might not be able to handle whatever it is they throw at you, but it's almost a sure bet that you can stop it, and odds are, whatever happens will be better than the alternative.

Etna's voice again... Weird.

Couldn't refute the logic though.

"Devil Claw..." I hissed, rushing toward him.

The bells for Midnight rang from somewhere outside the castle. Some guy with a demon arm or something charged at Blaze as he was doing some spell or somthing. The Space marine crashed through the wall and also sent a fist towards the crimson magus. A wizard dude made some golem and sent it charging toward the interloper as well.

.......

I better get in on the action! I ripped out another eye from my body and changed it into a spear. Aiming carefully I through the spear at Blaze.

"You would interfere? This may take some effort."

The orb he had been charging was launched at the spear, while at the same time he stomped his foot and drew his sword.

The sphere of light hit the spear, petrifying it in mid air, before slowly breaking it down. As this was happening, a pillar of earth erupted from under the armored foe, throwing him up into the air. Blaze assumed he was some sort of paladin, judging from the blessings he carried.

'One hostile threat disabled. One projectile disabled.'

The sword clanged as it met with the specimens claw.

"Impressive. Specimens mutated limb has increased strength and durability. The specimen himself is using an unknown form of energy to bolster physical characteristics."

The specimen was gritting his teeth now. Hmmm. Canines appear to be much sharper. The eyes also appear to have been changed. An advanced mutagenic seal, with strength enhancing properties, not to mention the increased reaction time. The odds of a normal human being able to intercept his blade were rather slim, afterall.

Such a comprehensive change. He wondered if it had created new organs in the specimen, to create or manage this energy it was using.

The geomancer's golem was approaching. Those walls would be troublesome. He wanted to take the specimen and run, but they had to go and make things more difficult.

"Bolt."

Lightning danced across his blade, electrocuting the specimen. It began to scream, but still stayed up and continued to grip the blade, claw tightening even more. That didn't make sense. The shock should have knocked it away, or forced it to release-

Then his sword crunched in two, and that hand reached for his face!

"Guster!" This time his spell had the desired effect, the wind knocking the specimen back out of close range.

It appeared he might be in for more of a fight than he thought.

I watched as my spear was transformed into stone and shattered before it even reached Blaze.

Seeing the Space Marine suddenly launched into the air was pretty amusing though.

The guy with the demonic arm thing was fighting Blaze in close combat. I grinned as the guy crunched Blaze's sword in two.

Blaze then sent the guy flying with some kind of wind magic.

I decided to further involve myself in this fight.

I ran at blaze, summoning forth my tendrils of fangs as I moved closer. Once I felt that I was in range, I quickly started spinning. My tendrils flew out like the whip in a grass cutter.

"Fanged Whirlwind!"

My shield soaked up most of the force from my jettisoning, it was a simple manner to direct my arm mounted Storm Bolters towards the now labeled mage.

I had dealt with a mage before.

Irritating fuckers.

"Please Die." I decided to keep it simple. This was followed by a volley of Bolt's.

When I landed I would rip him in half and choke his upper torso to death with his own entrails.

I wasn't expecting the Bolt's to actually kill him, but it would give some form of opening, hopefully, as he was already preoccupied.

"Guster Grab! Ground Wall!" Shouted the magus, wildly waving his hands.

Arms of wind reached out and grabbed the dark being running towards him, even as the earth itself rose to protect him from the shots. With a quick swing, he launched the black thing into the paladin. The enchanted armor should react in an interesting manner once the thing made contact.

"Distortion of Light! Being that exists on the waves! I call upon the First!"

But he had to finish this. They actually had a chance at overwhelming him.

"Crimson B-AAaaugh!" His incantation was interupted by one of the paladin's shots that made it past the block. His left arm was gone. Fortunately, he had been preparing the spell in his right hand.

"... Crimson Beam!" A red line of light erupted through his finger, shooting clean through the black creature, and the paladin.

Chris lay there, listening. He'd prefer being able to get up and help or get behind cover or something, but he'd overworked himself to the point of muscle exhaustion, and his limbs just weren't listening to him anymore. The pokemon couldn't even turn over to watch.

...A tired moment of concentration confirmed he was also too exhausted to use much aura either.

That's odd... when did the floor get comfortable?...

Blinking he forced the edges of black away from the perimeter of his vision, he needed to stay awake.

"GRRAAUGH!!" Being sent flying into the Space Marine was not cool.

Being in contact with his blessed armour was extremely painful.

Being struck by a laser beam of energy....Ow.

I could feel my consciousness fading from the pain.

I needed to get off the Marine as fast as possible.

I pull down his walls and create spikes behind him.

I idly shoved the tentacled one off of me, and began a charge at the mage, my Space Marine memories were used to holes being blown in random body part's.

My main self... Was not.

I'm going to FUCKING ATOMIZE HIM!, my Power Fist's charged for this.

Prepare to be DUST motherfucker.

I fired a second volley, I was running low on shot's soon... Best close the distance.

Another one had been taken out of the fight. But the paladin kept coming, as their kind were known to do, firing all the way. He would need to take this up a notch. But with one arm, it might prove more difficult. The Geomancer wasn't making things easier by neautralising his ability to manipulate the environment.

It would appear he'd need to kick things up a notch.

"It seems I've been underestimating you. Or rather, I didn't want to waste the energy that this technique requires to function."

He spread his feet, bracing himself as he raised his hand.

"Zip-zap!" And suddenly, he was behind the paladin. Most spells would be likely to bounce right off that heavily warded armor, so he'd have to be more creative. It was metal armor, afterall. "Endless Bolt!"

Lightning roared, arcing from his hand to the paladin.
And since the armor was becoming an ever increasing powerful electromagnet...
Fragments of metal from across the began to slam against the armor. For the most part, it had no effect. Until they started to slam with super-sonic speed, hitting every conceivable point on his armor. They would find a weak point.

'And if that doesn't work, the lightning should also be cooking the paladin's insides, getting in throught the hole the Crimson Beam made' he thought to himself.

I pull out the book of the elements out of my bag.

"You know I don't bring out my book for just any body, but I really don't like you."

I use the book as catalyst for a spell.

"BURN"

And that damned paladin was still coming. He'd need a special spell to counter him. Conventional tactics just plain weren't working.

Then the fireball hit him. He'd been hit with worse before, but his reserves were beginning to deplete, and he was down an arm, not to mention a rather expensive sword.

The geomancer was still a very real threat, and the specimen... was rushing him again.

"Catalyze." His flaming cloak would provide a good enough medium. He'd have to come back another day to claim his prize.

My blood was boiling. I was going to crush this mage! Rip him to shreds! Slash and slash until nothing was left!

His flaming cloak seemed to wrap around him, as he said something. Defensive spell, most likely. Ha! Like that could stop me! I swung my claw forward through the flames... hitting nothing.

He had disapeared. But ... My blood was still boiling. I had summoned up this power, and now it demanded I do something. Fight! Battle! Destroy!

But the fight was over there was nothing to- of course there is! There's always an enemy! A fight to be had!

No... I swallowed, forcing myself to calm down. It was a Mana Surge. That was all. I didn't have to fight. I was just overcharged, and my body wanted to release it in the best possible way.

... How did I know that?

Calm down and breathe.

Strength is always a good quality.

But, don't forget that the really dangerous ones never lose their cool.

Etna's voice again...

In a moment, I could function without wanting to rip any heads off.

Then, I was reminded that I wasn't the only one in the room, by the moans of pain, and smell of charred flesh.

"... Is everybody OK?"

I felt the mage dude disappear. I was on the ground in pain. And I was starting to get hungry again. My body was healing at the cost of hunger pains. That was bad.

".. Is everybody OK?" Said someone.

I raised my hand from the ground to show that I was still alive.

"Alive but hungry. Need food ASAP" I muttered as loud as I can.

"I'm in horrible pain actually." I informed my new Allie.

The Blood's already done clotting, so I should be fine.

Best get a healer quick though, I think something slightly important may have been fried.

The Hole was fortunately small enough, nothing important was damaged, except me, it should be simple to fix.

"Where's the Cock Eating Wrinklefucker?" I ask. My Vocabulary was a tad more vulgar, or I just said what I thought of people now.

I was a tad dazed.

:Also, falling asleep.:

Chris blinked wearily, still watching the wall and listening to the others.

I finish eating and get up and dust off crumbs. I look for a suitable spot to sleep.

"Here works."

I maniplate the earth to make a tent of rock. I get inside and bury myself into the dirt.

"Golem make sure nothing bothers me."

I pull my hat over my face
