What if we don't particularly want the fruit, or instead prefer some insane training or something, assuming we are or are made compatible with said training.

Well duh.

If I was some asshole jackassing people around for my own amusement, making sure they don't die spontaneously (and with how powerful the One Piece verse is, we might as WELL explode randomly for all the good our flabby mortal bodies will help us.) the instant I put them down would kinda be somewhere on the priority list.

If I wanted to see people die specifically there's more then enough of that that I wouldn't need to make MORE.

Well it's like, "there is a fruit in front of you. Do you eat it?" So, you can opt out, but if you take it, that's what you get.

All right.

And I did get through reading the Omniverse, and must say I'm intrigued. Though if I was really crazy I'd probably suggest that the ROB was 'us' and were just quite a few authors running a training sim/on vacation with a twist. With all our author power locked into metastability and 'out of sight out of mind'.

Okay, so how many people are interested in One Piece? There were a couple of clear responses, but others were somewhat murky.

If you're on the fence or can't play right now, say so. The beauty of the One Piece Universe is it's really easy to add/lose members without any major finagling.

Why not? I'll play I guess.

So that's... I think four people including myself.

They got to the grand line with five, so I think we're good for now, though more people would probably be better.

Starting an OOC thread for character profiles and brainstorming on islands/ devil fruits. Hopefully that'll draw some additional attention for later.

Building on Daniel's idea

I think the Ratio of the Fruits - Zoan, Paramecia, and Logia should be as thus
6-3-1

Because The Zoan fruits are the most common and after that is the Paramecia.

After playing it for awhile, I've decided to post my idea here while it's still in it's infant stages.

I'm thinking of a Warhammer 40k RPG using Dark Crusade as a stat medium so I don't have to make an entire rule set, I would use it for the battle half while the thread would contain the actual Role play.

Now, given that I don't think there are many 40k fans ON here, I'll most likely make another thread on spacebattles.

But I want to work out the World Map (Hopefully a pretty big one with lots of areas.) and the non battle mechanics HERE first, as I want everything decently ironed out before I go there as they apparently tend to eat badly thought out ideas for breakfast.

Current accepted Races/Factions:

IMPERIAL FORCES(Are mostly allied with each other by default.):
SPACE MARINES
IMPERIAL GUARD(In Cadian and, thanks to the Legion of Steel Mod, Krieg/Steel Legion version's.)
WITCH HUNTERS(Thanks to the Witch Hunters mod.)
DAEMON HUNTERS(Thanks to the Daemonhunt mod. Hates the shit out of Chaos. Also, Grey Knights, Space Marines get something else to replace them to make up for it.)

XENO'S:
ORK'S
TAU
TYRANID'S(Thanks to the Tyranids mod)
NECRON'S
ELDAR

HERETICS:
CHAOS(Biyatch.)

Use the New Races Mixer Mod to use all four extra races at once.

I will drop a link to where you can get them if asked.

EDIT: Just play tested a bit.

Tyranids are STRONG AS FUCK.

Or the Steel Legion Guardsman just suck...

Hmmm... Just Played a five faction Skirmish on Hard, me as Daemon Hunters plus Cadian Guard plus Krieg Guard Vs Tyranids Vs Orks.

Tyranids took FOREVER to DIE, they smashed like five of the Cadian Guards Zerg Rushes, and ACTUALLY LAUNCHED COUNTER ZERG RUSHES in retaliation.

The Cadian Guard seemed to even have Krieg Guard backup, so DAMN.

I had to drop three full squads of Grey Knights in that bitch AND two Grey Knight Dreadnoughts (I dropped in the Dreadnoughts while their entire army was out zerg rushing the Cadians, so they just kinda sat there busting shit up until the Tyranids finally threw enough fresh meat at them to kill them) to kill those insectoid bastards.

The Orks were surprisingly inactive and just got triple zerg rushed by two Imperial Guard Regiments, 5 full squads of Grey Knights and a full Squad of Grey Knight Terminators lead by a Grey Knight Commander.

Oh my god they died so fast... The Orks, and the terminators for some reason, though most likely because they lead the charge on the left flank and were like the first one to get there.

EDIT3: I now have and have play tested Firestorm Over Kronus, Tau are broken as shit.

They literally tank rush you before you even finish upgrading your HQ the first time, it's bullshit.

And all their tanks out range everyone else, you can't even SEE what the shit they're doing or where they're attacking from.

Small idea I had: Oblivion RP. You don't necessarily have to get involved in the Oblivion Crisis. You could just RP about what you've been doing in Oblivion, involve yourself in the multitude of sidequests in your hometown, join a guild and watch the story unfold, etc.

You could be a member of the Imperial Guard or a local town watch, and when a gate to Oblivion opens near your hometown. Then you could decide to evacuate, help the others leave, or make a brave stand, or even get yourself potentially killed by entering the Plane of Oblivion. You could even be a member of the doomed city of Kvatch, watching everything around you get destroyed and seeing all your friends and family die while you barely escape.

Be a Blade and join the Hero of Kvatch's quest. Be a random bandit looting travellers. Be a member of the Imperial City's Arena, barely escaping with your life every fight

Bethesda created a giant world for Oblivion. Hundreds of books of Lore detailing the history of Cyrodill and Tamriel, about the Aedra and Daedra, etc. There are hundreds of NPCs, most of them with names. There is plenty to RP about.

So, what do you think?

Also, would we need someone to be the Main Hero so we know what and when stuff is happening, or what?

Anyone interested in doing a Roleplay with us as Gods? Probably set in the early stages of creation, with the races still being created or having just started their rise to civilization.

Possible setups would be a conflict between good and evil or order and chaos, or some other morality set, a free for all battle to ascend as the king of gods, or using the mortal world as a chessboard for our own amusement.

It could be fun, but would you guys be interested?

If no one is really interested, any recommendations for systems with the PCs as gods? It's something I'm really interested in checking out.

http://www.privateislandsonline.com/isla-gatun-panama.htm

I say TFF has a whip around, buys this island, buys some chickens and cows and a greenhouse, buys some tents or logs to build a cabin, buy a load of solar panels, fly out to Panama and live like semi-mythological kings. I reckon it'd take at most $100,000 dollars to set up, we'd be semi-autonomous with our only major trading partner being Panama itself and eventually we'd garner enough influence in the UN to fuck shit up and start a nuclear war where'd we'd be safe as a non-target to live out the aftermath in comparative paradise.

Or something...

----

^ The beginning of zerohour's idea. I say we use this one, and make it a modern world, with us running away / on the lam / bored and getting together on the island. As for buying it and such, that would b part of the adventure! Who's with m---us?

I think there's Scion, but that's more demigods. And I don't have the books for them.

So I'm bored, and interested in trying something a bit more expansive than your standard RP.

Essentially, I want to run an RP where we are Gods creating a new world. There wpuld probably be two parts, where we actually create the world, andf the second, where we actually influence the world to decide a winner.

I'm a bit worried this is overly ambitious, but I we can do it right, it could be very rewarding. Anyone interested in at least talking about it?

World building as the game itself isn't something I'm normally drawn to, I wouldn't mind offering suggestions though.

I'd participate I suppose, I love worldbuilding. But what kind of world are we building? Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Horror, what?

Also.....is anyone interested in the possibility of a SW rp?

Fantasy works best, but since we are the Gods, we could make it however we want.

Heck, we could easily make the world into some sort of horrible abomination as our warring ideals clash against each other, in an eons long battle of elimination.

Assuming we can't come to some sort of agreement.

We could do that, hell we could do what most gods do, go to war via our followers.

I call being the God of luck and Ambition.
