TFFA Ninja Blitz: OOC Thread

The game is still under development.

Rules:
Standard TFFA rules:
-You play as yourself. You can use your own nickname on the board. eg. I'll be playing as 'Zenithos' and I can refer to myself as 'Zeni' as most people call me in this forum.

- Each and every player must stay in groups of at least 3 people whenever possible, unless a solo is completely necessary. This will hopefully prevent fractured storylines. If possible, stay as one big group whenever possible.

- Please be sensible with your character power-ups. While having powers is fine, don't go all DBZ....at least until the final battle. tongue.gif

- You will be allowed one minor character to accompany you. Please be sure to post a pic and a short description. It could be an apprentice you're training up, a servant, a catgirl you found in a box beside the street, a best friend, a conscience, a persona...whatever, as long as it's just ONE. With each arc you complete, you are allowed one extra NPC.

- Killing off other PCs is fine, off course. But if you see somebody dead please try to introduce a plot device that would somehow revive the person. Phoenix Downs, Elixirs, T-viruses...you name it.

- There is absolutely no need to maintain an air of formality or seriousness. Read: Hijinks and Comedy are highly encouraged.

- You are allowed to incorporate other PCs into your posts and write in actions and dialogues for them, as long as you keep them in character. If the PC's owner disagrees then please be courteous and edit the offending post. (so far, no such thing has happened as we bonk each other on the head so often it's become quite a fun routine).

Kekkai Genkai
You get to choose only one bloodline. Any bonuses are maxed out at 9.

Byakugan
Costs: 8
+3 Tai, +2 Nin, Can unlock all Byakugan Techniques.
Enough said.

Sharingan
Costs: 8
+1 Tai, +1 Nin, +3 Gen, Can unlock all Sharingan Techniques.
Byakugan copycats. Enough said.

Shikotsumyaku (Dead Bone Pulse)
Costs: 7
+3 Tai, +1 Nin
Kimimaro's special bloodline. Allows the wielder to manipulate the bones within his/her body as he/she likes.

Jinchuriki
Costs: 7
No bonuses. Gigantic chakra reserves. Berserker modes available. Many high-level jutsu becomes easily usable. However, society does not view jinchuriki-vessels in good light. Furthermore, it requires a great deal of will-power and training to unlock the powers of the Jinchuriki sealed within. Haphazard use can potentially cause the wielder to be consumed by the jinchuriki itself.

Hyoton (Ice Release)
Costs: 9
+2Gen, +2 Tai, +1 Nin
Allows the manipulation of water, wind, and, ultimately, ice. Unlocks all Hyoton Jutsus. Note: Hyoton is our favourite trap, Haku's Kekkai Genkai.

Onirei-fuin
Costs: 13
+4 Gen, +3 Tai, +3 Nin
Demon Sealing. An ancient technique of the Futakoihana clan. An 'other-wordly demon' is sealed into the bodies of those of the Futakoihana clan when they are young. This allows them to channel the demon's powers for personal use. However, the chakra drainage in using any Onirei-fuin jutsu is incredibly high. A large amount of chakra is required to maintain the demon spirit alone. In addition, the more dangerous spirits require even more chakra and will-power to controlThus why most Futakoihana clan members, especially the weaker ones, die young shortly after the demon sealing ritual, either out of chakra drainage or getting killed by their own demon.

Your Own
Costs: 4
No bonuses. You can make up what you want. It must have one weakness.

More to be added later.

Strengths And Weaknesses
You must assign at least one strength and one weakness. For every strength you add, you must have a weakness. No bloodlines allowed here. Only personal traits. Such as 'A fast runner but trips up a lot' or something like that.

Please keep an eye on others as well. If anyone gets their post number wrong, let them know ASAP. The only way to enjoy playing this game together is by being fair to each other. Now, what is EXP for?

You can use EXP to learn new jutsus and earn yourself summons (which count as jutsu). They are divided as follows:

World of TFFA Ninja Blitz

The Ninja world is yet another world floating in the Infinitum, the Multiverse that contains all possible worlds.

The following are places within the World of TFFA Ninja Blitz.

Konohagakure.
This is our village. It is quite similar to canon Konohagakure, with a few slight modifications:

It has a ninja academy named TFF Academy, which is a pretty large academy compound of its own. This is where us TFFA genin graduate from.

Futakoihana Shrine: A shrine sitting atop a Sakura-tree-lined-hill overlooking Konohagakure. Where TFFers gather most days.

Other Villages of this world:
Yaoigakure, the village hidden in Yaoi
YaoiKage: The Grand Kage Fangirl
The village of yaoi fangirls, fangirls who worship the horror that is yaoi.

There was once an ancient, well-established village whose population were mostly female, aptly named Shoujogakure. They were a matriarchal society, dominated by females. Love and Peace was their motto and they lived harmoniously with their neighbours.

However, recently, something strange happened. The village suddenly broke all diplomatic ties with surrounding villages and changed their name to Yaoigakure. Furthermore, the BiKage suddenly declared herself the Yaoikage and Grand Kage Fangirl. In addition, they declared war on all surrounding villages with whom they had been very close friends before.

...what evil has suddenly taken over Shoujogakure...?

Yonchangakure, the village hidden in 4chan

Special TFFA Concepts
Special concepts from the entire TFFA compendium of RPGs, as applied to this RPG.

The Forces of Light
What it says. It's the light side of the force.

Crack-Fic Potential
The power to alter reality down to its very roots, the power to alter destiny and fate, the power to change the entire universe....and warp it into something incredibly ridiculous. It exists within every single world in the infinitum, but some have more than others. Few people know of its existence. Fewer still know how to draw it out and channel it to use it as a power.

In the word of TFFA Ninja-Blitz, Crack-Fic Potential powers arise as kikaijutsu, a special form of ninja arts where, instead of chakra, one manipulates crack-fic potential and channel it to perform many powerful jutsu...such as the STEAMROLLER-WRYYYY-no-jutsu.

Awesome-Force
It is power, pure and without form. Mortal minds, when exposed to this power, would usually react in a similar manner - they would gape, their eyes would widen in awe, and they would stare for long periods of time as their minds try to comprehend the sheer mind-shock it brings. It was said that the Infinitum was created from this very power.

The Forces of Darkness
Yes, the dark side of the force!

Trollz-Force
A dark manipulation of the Infinitum's Crackfic Potential. The trollz use this power to manipulate and warp reality to their own liking. However, most low level Trollz can only use this power to take on the shapes and powers of other beings. Higher Level Trollz can manipulate power to turn the universe upside-down, should they wish.

The manifestation of this power in the Ninja-blitz world is in the form of Troll-Jutsu.

Yaoi-Force
Another dark manipulation of the Crackfic Potential.

Yuri-Force
Yet another dark manipulation of the crackfic potential.

Crossoverium
Some ancient, allegedly mad sages, scientists, wizards, etc. all over the infinitum have all, individually, speculated one similar theory - that some special force, energy, or magic, or maybe even substance, connects the many worlds of the Infinitum.

It is still mostly in the realm of mythical speculation. However, it is clear that something connects the worlds together. Moreover, they seem to intersect in certain worlds such as the realm of TFF Academy City and the realm of fanfiction.net. They seem to be in some way connected to both crackfic-force and awesome-force as well as the realm of TFF has been found to have both in abundance.

TFFA RPG Bonuses
Players who play other TFFA RPGs benefit from certain special bonuses.

There is an explanation for this. (Reference to Jet Li's movie, The One) In the Infinitum, there are many, many parallel worlds, each inhabited by many, many different people. But each person in a particular world would have a counterpart in another parallel world. For example, the Zeni in the world of TFFA Ninja Blitz is the parallel counterpart of the Zeni in the world of TFF Academy City. When one gains experience and grows stronger, so do the others, as they are all bound to one another.

The bonuses are as follows:
1) Any EXP gained through posting in another RPG counts towards the overall EXP. So TFFA Academy City RPG players can now start counting their posts to accumulate EXP.

2) NPC limit carries over from other TFFA RPGs. So, for example, you have 4 NPC slots after playing 3 arcs in the TFFA City RPGs. You gain an extra slot by playing TFFA Ninja-Blitz and thus you get 5 NPC slots which you can use both here and in TFFA City. The same goes for people in Ninja-blitz playing in the TFFA City RPGs.

3) Posting in the Chibi-theater thread earns you a 1.5xEXP bonus, so for every two posts, you get 3 EXP. Why? Because growth and development of chibis are just that much faster.

(to be honest, it's just so that people keep on posting in the other RPGs :p )

Well, besides the fact you seem to be creating quite a few of these, the fact that you called Gai a genius in genjutsu amuses me.....greatly.

.....that is all.

Was chatting with Mick and Sidhe earlier about the original TFFA Naruto idea and Chaos RR :p

So I thought I'd give it a try. Why not?

Oh? A new RP? You amaze me, Zeni.

However, I doubt I will actually be able to take part in this one. I was a bit too much of a fifth wheel in the last RP, and it doesn't exactly bode well for me or anybody else if I'm gone for most of it. As well, I go back to classes tomorrow, and I figure the amount of time I spend toiling under discrete mathematics and/or running from one end of the university to another three times a week to catch a class will mean that I wouldn't have enough time to post.

Ah well, it was fun while it lasted, but it looks like the hockey player is going to be out for awhile...

Sad to hear that, Legacy.

I mean, I had a part for you and the index embedded in your character. ^_^

But oh well. :p

I'm not running this one alone. Too much work.

So I'm getting some people to help me out.

I think we should also add in an HP meter for the characters, with a certain amount being the max, just to make it more enjoyable.

Hm I don't know if that would work. After all look at the beatings Sakura and the other genin took. We'd be limiting what we could or couldn't post.

Edit: Also it would be hard to keep track of what did how much damage.

I not realy, it depends on the attacks that people make and take.

Well we don't want to really try and 'beat' the other players. We still want to have plenty of humor in this thing.

This is just so we don't god mode against the npcs.

A question...do the Nara's shadow techniques count as Ninjutsu, or Genjutsu? I'm trying to decide so I can figure out which one is going to be my, ah, 'dump stat'.

Ah, I was right then. Thanks. Heh, this gives me an outlet for all those jutsu I made up, and am never going to be able to write Shikamaru using because he's too lazy to build up the chakra for.

Hm..well it was meant to control god moding and keeping this from being DBZ.

We can still have battle scenes involving Humor...the main thing is just to give our chars more of a challenge in our fights.

I know, but with the stats system, I can't realy make my character the way I want him. Do your stats have to add up to twenty if you don't have a bloodline?

Well it's supposed to determine how well you can use your jutsu. So you want to have your scores as well as they can be.

Btw was thinking the game might start on the final test to become Genin.

Btw I should have mentioned we all should be only Genin in rank.

We will have random anime characters be jounin/special jounin, etc for us.

Maybe I didn't make this clear enough. I want to know about the conflict of the game, not the jutsus I'm gonna use.
