TFFA: The Great X-Mas Caper

Sewers under the Plaza Central Urban District, TFFA City, Spare Room in Frank Castle's Inn Day 3, 20th December, 6:25 PM

David sat next to the bed, looking up at Belldandy and Kasumi, as they worked at healing the injured girl. He himself was field-stripping his weapons, and cleaning them. He slid the bolt back into the reciever of his Lee-Enfield and locked the magazine in place. Then, he looked up.

"How is she?"

Belldandy leaned back and gave him a tired smile. "She was badly hurt by that creature, but we have healed her. All she needs now is time."

"Right. Well, you'd better keep an eye on her; I've got a phone call to make..." David stepped outside and opened a cellphone. He dialed a number then pressed the mobile to his ear

"Hello; is this Konoemon Konoe, the Dean of Mahora Academy?"

"This is he. Who is this?" a familiar voice said.

"It's Professor Abramczyk, sir. I'm sorry I didn't let you know beforehand, but I've gotten caught up in a sticky situation, similar to that business on Halloween a year or so back."

"I see. Well, thank you for letting me know, Professor. Is there anything else?"

"Yes sir. I have some bad news. Your granddaughter, Konoka? She.. was attacked, and badly injured. She's all right now." he added quickly, before the Dean could blow a fuse. "She just needs time to recuperate. Some rather nasty things happened to her."

"Ni-san, are you really sure we want to let her do this?" Moka asked, gazing up at Nikolaus, who was gathering materials.

"In a matter of speaking, it is, she needs this. However, she isn't in her right mind right now, so we need to make sure that she makes it through this alright. If that means breaking a few rules, or the deaths of a few supposed innocents, mh, it will be worth the cost." Nikolaus responds absently, though he seemed rather angry.

"Are you really sure it will be okay? if the people die..." Suzuka asked, uncertainly.

"Like I said, all measures must be taken care of, the slums are full of death, and those who are dying; a mass necromancy spell will cause enough confusion and panic that they will be forced to leave, however, this is only the back-up plan," Nikolaus says as he raises a large coffin, and rests it against a wall, "if it appears that even with the planned other events, Zen is going to die, we shall begin a diversion to save her. Given the situation, and need of support, we may need to kill the other card members but make it look like Zen did it. In a society like this strength rules, someone who could easily take down their strongest would be highly respected, any request she makes would be granted."

"I am hoping that isn't necessary," Locke states as he walks forward. "Have you already placed the bombs where I told you."

"Yes, Xerxezz should be done with the others already," Nikolaus states, "however, I still don't like the thought of throwing her into this like that. I understand why, but..."

Nikolaus looks down for a bit, before growling and returning to his tasks. Locke merely stares at him for a few seconds before sighing and saying, "look, she is the one going through with this. At the moment we can only support her."

"Are you really sure she should be pushing herself too much?" Shiakou asks as he/she/it walked up.

"Well, whatever the case. Those who serve me are going to be here in time," Zero says.

"Explosives are in place. Everything is set, the stage will be one big chain of explosions," Xerxezz says before laughing darkly.

"Mh...what I wouldn't give to be in that fight, without the cheating of course," Vex says.

"It isn't cheating so much as....giving a helping hand." Janus says with Morrigan by his side.

"Mh well, my blood golems are already filtering through the building, if anyone seeks to....change the odds, we will find out," Nikolaus says, "....except of course for us..."

(OoC: I am really sorry if I screwed up a character in this.)

"How is she doing?" Mihoshi asked, stroking Konoka's hair as she lay in bed.

"Not so good. Myself, Belldandy, and Kasumi werrre able to take carrre of the physical damage rrright away, so she's not in any dangerrr..." Tohno said.

"There's a 'but...' at the end of that sentance." Soifon quipped, leaning against a wall as she kept a sharp eye out.

"It's the shock. She rrreally is an innocent girrrl, prrrobably why she was able to befrrriend The Jesterrr like she did, even if it was only forrr a shorrrt while. But when he stabbed herrr, herrr mind couldn't handle it verrry well." Tohno said, shaking her head sadly.

"Is there nothing that you can do?" Kasumi asked, holding Konoka's hand.

"No. I haven't rrreached the level I'd need to heal herrr mind as well as herrr body. And besides, I cannot gain new spells without Xaosite-sama." Tohno said, looking down at her feet.

"What about you, Belldandy? I mean, aren't you..." Mihoshi asked.

"As she is now, she simply needs time to deal with what happened. That... creature... was wielding a god's power, the energy of this land, and some of the trollz dark taint. Furthermore, there is something there, something that I fear goes beyond the power that I channel." Belldandy shook her head and shivered.

"Xaosite-sama would know something. I'm surrre of it." Tohno said determinedly.

"I'm certain Zen at least has some idea, but with everything that has happened to her, I wouldn't ask. Not yet." Soifon noted.

"How can you be so sure?" Kasumi asked.

"The last time we had seen the bastard, we had finally managed to convince him to divulge something he knew. Something that worried him." Soifon said.

"Then he was gone, and The Jester showed up, and he was using Xaosite's divine dice abilities!" Mihoshi added.

"When I trrried to divine his fate, my vision lead me back to the trrrollz base, and the lab wherrre The Jester came frrrom." Tohno finished.

"But then, where is Xaosite, exactly?" Belldandy asked.

"Other than than a lab in Hueco Mundo, all we know is, he was taken to Room 8, on Floor 13." Mihoshi said.

"But, I don't think that buildings have Floor 13s." Kasumi replied.

"Wouldn't that mean that he was taken to a place that does not exist?" Belldandy questioned.

"That was what the guarrrds had said." Tohno answered.

In The Sky, TFFA City, Day 3, 20th December, 7:31 PM

Was that it? If that was what they called their 40% release, then they never had a chance at full power, The Jester mused to himself.

"B@uT tH$En, I#t %Isn'T l&iKe AnyoN^e haS} a+ cHan-ce *aT a~Ll!" He laughed to himself, spinning merrily in place. After a moment, he lept to his feet and scanned the area.

"Aw+wWw! T~hEy All` ra]N Aw)Ay! #NoW I'$M goN^nA Ha<vetA hun|T th_Em dO>wn /liKe The= Ani\Mals th#eY aRe*!" The Jester leapt down, making his way along the path.

Humming a very eerie tune, he casually jabbed a finger out, tearing the air open as he made his way along. Throughout the city, there was a massive rumble, as the weakening fabric of reality, due to the constant damage The Jester had and was currently causing, began to take it's toll.

Hueco Mundo, Time: N/A

"Ah, Dr. Kiln. So sorry to interrupt your work, but I'm afraid the time has come to terminate you from your position." Aporro said, though his tone only conveyed a smug sense of satisfaction. "You have been very clever in your destruction of all of my spying devices, but that doesn't matter anymore. The Mistress has given me permission to literally pick your brain for all the information I could want."

Tilting his head down, he pushed his glasses up with a finger, so that they momentarily flashed white. "Your creation has finally stepped over the final line."

Dr. Kiln, who had until this point had been studiously poring over a book, slowly turned around. "He, he haz finally betrayed uz?"

"Yes indeed."

Dr. Kiln sniffed, then choked a bit. "I'm... I'm... I AM ZO HAPPY!" The dam finally burst, and Dr. Kiln charged forward, arms held wide, tears streaming down his face. Running straight into Aporro, he wrapped his arms aound the arrancar in a tight bear hug. He then sobbed loudly as he rubbed his face back and forth against the chest of the stunned, disturbed, and twitching Aporro.

"Za little vuns, zhey grow up zo fast! It zeemz like it vas just yesterday zat I vas ztarting to build him, and now he iz already running amok on hiz own!" Dr. Kiln cried, and Aporro swore he could feel the front of his outfit growing damp fromt the tears already.

Aporro, already highly annoyed with the doctor as it was, snarled down, "I'd recommend that you save some of those tears for later! I'm going to make sure that the questioning process will be very unpleasant!"

"Oh! But Aporro, you poor fool! Dr. Kiln haz already left za building! Thiz lab haz nozing more zan props and exzplozives left!" As the figure in the shape of Dr. Kiln began to melt, it continued. "You vouldn't really believe zat ze mad doktor would stick around here after vat happened! But he does zank you for all ze help you haf given him!"

After this, the form completely melted, leaving behind a large bomb attached to him as he stood in a puddle of oozing clay. At that moment, several units of lab equipment chose to dramatically fall away, reavealing that they were nothing more than cardboard cutouts hiding boxes labeled "DANGER! EXPLOSIVE! USE CAUTION!" and other, even more worrisome objects.

Aporro looked down in growing horror at the bomb resting on his chest.

Day 4: Don't Challenge the Cliches. Panty Shot Characters WILL Always Kill You.

OOC: Co-written with EI as usual. With useless comments from Beyond...as usual...

Sewers Under The Plaza, Central Urban District, TFFA City, Day 4, 21st December, 7:31 AM

They had waded through crap, killed countless frogs and zombies, and even slipped on some random banana peal, only to reach the end of the sewers to find....a guard with really bad breath...

"Sothinez and Incarna?" The guard asked suspiciously. "I don't really care what your names are but the boss said nobody's allowed into the slums from the highlands."

"Oh really? He must've forgot to mention us." Nez said cooly, sighing. "Damn stupid husband of ours..."

"...wait, you two're married to the boss?" The guard asked, frowning. "That's strange, I don't remember...."

"Off course you don't. He never mentions us." Incarna sighed. "He's an outspoken anti-polygamist but at the same time he's a closet polygamist himself."

"What?!" The guard asked, gaping. The words "Lucky Bastard" quietly slipped out of his lips.

"You're new here, aren't you?" Nez asked, noticing how shiny the guard's rifle was. Only newbies shine their rifles. It's common sense. "I mean, all the guards know about it...though they'll avoid the subject like the plague and deny all knowledge of it."

"...err...uhh...well, I've only been on the job for a week, so..." The guard mumbled.

"Now, let us in, and we'll tell him how helpful you were. If you leave us out...well, we'll go around spreading rumours about him and we'll blame it all on you." Incarna said with a grin. "I'm a mean gossip, y'know."

The guard seemed to frown for a moment as he tried to process all this in his rather slow brain.

The twins, meanwhile, shouted BINGO! inwards. This was your grade-S cliche idiotic guard.

"...well, uh, ok, I can't say no to the boss' wives." The guard nodded, standing aside for them. "Please, go through."

"Thanks. We'll tell him what a great help you were." Incarna said, smiling, as the twins entered the slums.

"Uhh...my name's Eddie, by the way..." The guard suddenly spoke up, not wanting to miss out on acquiring the Boss' favour.

"Yeah, we'll remember you." Incarna smiled, giving him a pat on the shoulder. "Yes we will..."

Nez merely rolled her eyes. "...men..." She sighed under her breath.

"Who do you belong to?" Mick asked as he slowly circled Zen.

"You, Michael-sama." Zen replied obediently.

"Whose body is this?" Mick asked, patting her on the shoulders.

"Yours, Michael-sama." Zen replied promptly.

"So is it yours to injure?" Mick asked, raising his eyebrows.

"No, Michael-sama."

"And what will happen if it does get injured in any way?" Mick asked as he circled around her back.

"I will get punished for it, Michael-sama." Zen said, without hesitation.

"Is your life yours to waste?" Mick asked.

"No, it isn't, Michael-sama. It belongs to you." Zen replied.

"That's right. So you must not die, is that understood?" Mick said, pausing in front of her face.

"Yes, Michael-sama." Zen nodded, a determined look on her face.

"Good girl." Mick smiled, patting her on the head. "I won't go watch your fight. I have faith in you, so don't dissapoint me."

"Never, Master." Zen said. "I will not shame you."

Seventh Heaven Bar, The Slums, Underneath TFFA City, Day 4, 21st December, 7.48 AM

"Bartender...two glasses of milk, please."

The entire bar went dead silent as everyone turned to look at the young girls who had entered.

"What, you never saw two girls order milk in a bar?" Nez asked, looking around the room.

"Yeah, and you never saw what happens to people who question the order?" Incarna asked.

Everyone present realized that it probably wasn't worth the trouble and decided to go back to drinking, quaffing, gambling, and general pubbing, causing the volume to rise once more.

"I suppose you two aren't just here for the milk." The bartender asked, pushing two glasses of ice cold milk towards the twins.

"Smart one, ain't he?" Incarna grinned. "We're here for info."

"I'd suggest the toystore, but I'm thinking you're not here for kiddy business." The Bartender said as he wiped a spare tumbler. "What is it you need?"

"Information on certain friends. Did anyone from the highlands come down to the slums yesterday?" Nez asked.

"....as a matter of fact, yes." The Bartender nodded. "This is going to cost you extra."

"Then we want the entire carton of milk." Incarna said, pushing a bill towards the Bartender who nodded.

"They'll all be down at the arena now. The highlander claimed to have a slummer card and has challenged the city leaders to a battle for power." The Bartender said. "Though I think you'd best stay away, young missus. It's clear the audience are mostly gangsters, rolled in for the fight as well. Best not get involved."

"Thanks." Nez nodded in appreciation. "Good milk by the way."

"What is this?!" Another man swept out of a back room and into the bar. "Little children drinking milk in MY bar?! I will not have it!"

"Mr. Manager, consider the cliche...." The bartender began.

"Boys! GET'EM!" The Manager shouted. On queue, half the bar stood up, ready for a brawl.

"....the cliche just holds, doesn't it?" Nez sighed. "...though that was a bit random..."

"No escaping the conventions." Incarna nodded. "Have at you!"

OOC: Written by EI. I'm settling the debt, Mick!

Random Alleyway, The Slums, Underneath TFFA City, Day 4, 21st December, 7.58 AM

"....who am I...?" The girl murmured as hugged her knees as tightly as she could in search of some elusive warmth. "...how did I...end up here?" She asked, looking around the dark alleyway.

All she could remember was something really, really painful, as if some really important part of her had been ripped out...and then escaping from a man...and trying her best to move away from danger. What it was she couldn't remember. And then she fell into a deep dark hole...

And she's been wandering through the dark for what felt like an eternity since until she ended up here.

She had found an old rag in one of the dustbins and had tried to make herself as comfortable as possible as she felt sleep take hold of her. No! She mustn't fall asleep! That much she knew. That way certain death lay.

She decided to inspect herself as she finally found the space to do so. She fingered her collar as she noticed it for the first time. Wait...a collar?

She felt a rather large, round nametag dangling from it. She held it up to the dim light given off by a nearby lamp and attempted to read it. "Eterna." It said. "Is that my name...?" She murmured to herself.

She felt more inscriptions on the back and quickly turned it over in search of more information. A lot of the words on the back had been scratched out somehow, leaving the words '...Property Of...'.

"....I belong to someone...?" Her eyes widened as she dropped the nametag in surprise. Come to think of it, she had shackles on her arms and legs too. That meant....

"...Yada...YADA! I don't want to belong to anybody!" She cried, tears of fear and panic breaking loose. What if it was her owner who made her like this? Who had hurt her? She can still feel the pain...it felt like something unworldly, something from beyond Hell.

So she escaped? They must be looking for her now. No! She can't be found! She won't go through that pain again! She'd rather die!

She tugged sharply at her collar in an attempt to rip it off...but only managed to choke herself and chafe the back of her neck. She reached around it, looking for a clasp...but found only a sturdy lock.

She raised the rag over her head in a vain haphazard attempt to hide herself as she shivered in fear. "Yada...yada..." She cried bitterly. "Please...leave me alone...leave me alone...I just want to die....please...I want to die..."

"...Ei-chan?" A voice called out. "Ei-chan!"

Her heart leapt into her throat. They've found her already?!

She scrabbled backwards, managing only to crash into a dustbin, causing it to fall over and clatter on the alleyway floor. She tried to scrabbled away further but some foul luck had made sure her retreat was cut off by her leash that had managed to get caught on something. The tall silhouette standing before her in the mouth of the alleyway slowly approached her. "That's all right...you are Ei-chan, right?"

"S-stay away!" Eterna managed to stammer, while choking on her collar, as she pressed herself against the dustbin while reaching out for something to defend herself with. "Please...don't take me back. Just let me die!"

"What? I can't let you die, Ei-chan!" The silhouette cried. "...Ei-chan, are you hurt? You seem to have lots of bumps and bruises on you."

"I don't want to go back! I just want to die here! I'd rather die than suffer like that again!" Eterna screamed, pushing back the man who had knelt in front of her for a better look.

"Ei-chan, look, it's me, Mick, Michael, don't you remember me?!" Mick cried as he shook Eterna by the shoulders. "I'm your friend!"

"...please..." Eterna sobbed. "....I only want to die...that's all...please don't take me back..." Her voice trailed away as she broke down completely.

"...Oh Jeez..." Mick sighed, shaking his head. "She's worse off than Zen..." He shrugged before picking up the now unresisting young girl bodily by her waist and slinging her over one shoulder. "Come along, Ei-chan..." He said. "Everything's going to be all right."

Eterna only mumbled, "yada....yada..." repeatedly, sobbing all the while, as Mick carried her off into the slums.

Spare Room in Frank Castle's Inn, The Slums, Underneath TFFA City, Day 4, 21st December.

David sat beside Konoka's bed, looking downcast. Thanks to his lack of attention, the Dean's Granddaughter had been hurt. He was in for the high-jump now, and no mistake. At the same time, a nagging thought beat against his mind. Project Innocence.

What was it? Why had various people been kidnapped, and presumably experimented on? What would their captors hope to gain from it?

He stood, and walked outside and looked out over the slums. The truth was out there, he just had to find it.

A sound to his left drew his attention, which made him reach instinctively for his Webley. When he saw it was Vex, he relaxed and nodded. "Hey, how ya doin'?" he asked.

Vex shrugged, then looked towards Konoka's room.

"She's asleep for now." David said, before turning to face him. "Something doesn't add up. What's this Project Innocence, do you think? Why would Armachan kidnap all those girls, and experiment on them?"

Frank Castle's Inn, The Slums, Underneath TFFA City, Day 4, 21st December.

The room was small, with only a dresser and a narrow bed. On the bed, a pink-haired girl and a blue-haired girl slept curled up against the brown-haired girl. Sidhe, the brown-haired girl, slept fitfully between Morodashi and Marudashi. Several times, she cried out "Konsou!" and went still again. Eventually, this woke Morodashi who sat up, stretched like a cat, then reached over Sidhe to tap Marudashi. Marudashi did much the same before both turned towards Sidhe.

"Shall we wake her?" asked Morodashi.

Marudashi nodded. "The early worm gets eaten first!"

With that, they both attacked, and for the next few minutes, a tickle war broke out. When all three girls finally caught their breath again, Maru and Moro dragged Sidhe down the hall to the inn's semi-public baths. None of them noticed the broken leash on the floor.

The mood in the bath was sombre despite attempts to start a splashfight. Several of the girls there were whispering about CMPS and Konoka.. and Zen. Zen herself was had not been seen by the girls, so there many wild guesses as to where she was. The room quieted again when Morrigan appeared carrying a pile of white clothing.

"We have noticed that some of you are down to rags, " Morrigan announced. "After negotiation with the innkeeper, we were able to get these sundresses."

"Why would they have white sundresses in the Slums?" Sidhe asked.

Morrigan shook her head. "You really don't want to know."

Coliseum Spectators' Stand, The Slums, Underneath TFFA City, Day 4, 21st December, 9:21 AM

"...so, got your fireworks and blowhorns ready? We've got to be a good, supportive audience after all." Janus said.

"Hell yeah." Legacy grinned, patting a violin case. "We brought a full band." He said, nodding at the array of instrument cases the other TFFers had brought.

"Yup. Music's the best way to raise a cheer, after all." Xerxezz nodded at the rather oversized tuba case on his back.

"But..." Vex began, carefully placing his guitar case on the floor. "....is it just me or is the entire audience very musical?" He asked, pointing out the massive variety of musical instrument cases the other members of the audience had brought along.

"And those are very big tubs of popcorn..." David said, looking at the rather oversized tubs of popcorn some of the audience members were sporting.

"Lots of flower bouquets too." Ray noted.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, Gangstas and Clanners, Cutthroats, Gamblers, Murderers, and Laywers! Lolis and Shotas alike," The speakers blarred over the entire coliseum. "Are you ready for the match of the century?!"

The crowd roared with excitement. Vex and Xerxezz delivered haymakers to two rather over-excited spectators in the row behind them.

"Now, you all know the story! The winner of this battle becomes the leader of the entire Slums. Not only will we settle the card-holder issue, we shall decide the entire gang war!"

The audience exploded in roars and screams. David and Ray stomped on the heads of the people standing up in front of them to regain a view of the field.

"Now, the holder of the King of Spades, our very own 2 year arena champion title holder, Zen, the challenger, will face off against representatives of the city's gangs and clans in a one-shot battle-royale!" The Commentator shouted over the hysterics of the crowd as Zen stepped out into the empty dirt-covered arena. "But the numbers are now extravagantly against her. Will she stand a chance?!"

The crowd's roar very nearly raised the roof of the entire slums.

"NO RULES, NO SURRENDERS, NO MERCY! Without further ado, LET THE GAMES BEGIN!" The commentator screamed as hundreds of gangsters flooded out into arena, carryinga a variety of weapons from the crazy to the insane. Some even drove combine harvesters, tanks, and even gunships out onto the spacious battlefield.

"Master has put his faith in me. So I mustn't disappoint Master!" Zen murmured to herself as her adversaries closed in.

"Some members of the audience aren't sitting down nicely like they're supposed to..." Sidhe said aside to the other TFFers.

"They aren't? Oh, naughty naughty..." Zephyrus shook his head with disapproval as they watched the frontmost members of the audience rush onto the arena as well, shedding their instrument cases and flower bouquets to reveal an array of weapons.

"What do you say we go teach them some manners?" Upgrade asked, fingering his trumpet case.

"Yeah, the way the home-team watches games!" Legacy shouted, knocking out a fellow spectator behind him with a swing of his violin case.

"I don't like my seat. It's too far back." Mihoshi said.

"...then lets grab ourselves seats further up front." Soifon said, grinning a rather strange grin as she unsheathed her katana.

"Oh, do lets." Tohno nodded in agreement as she took out a nicely hidden spellbook.

"Remember, folks, no rules. Plus, the CMPS aren't down here to watch." Xerxezz grinned, fingering a remote detonator. "Now, for the REAL KABOOM FACTOR!"

KAAABOOOOOOOOOM!

"...Bad Xerxezz!" Joy shouted as a huge section of the upper coliseum opposite them exploded inwards. "We weren't supposed to start with that section!"

"No...that wasn't me..." Xerxezz murmured.

"No way....the CMPS?!" Locke groaned.

"Well, two of them..." Nikolaus noted. "Grave, Moka, keep an eye on those two."

"Cough! Ugh...who the heck planted those explosives there?!" Incarna coughed as plaster and dust puffed out all around them. The two had burst in from the outside but ended up running into a huge stockpile of explosives...into which they crashed, setting them off.

"What the heck....?" Nez gasped, looking down past the scorched audience to see the arena. "What's happening here?"

"Before that, run!" Incarna shouted, pulling Nez by the arm. "They're still on our tails!"

"Get back here! You have to pay for my store!" One man shouted, climbing through the sizeable hole in the coliseum wall.

"No, they're ours! Nobody gets away from a bar brawl!" A member of the mob screamed.

"No! My pub comes first!"

"My fireworks factory!"

"My dustbin!"

"Who gives a damn about your dustbin?!"

Nez and Incarna blasted more of the audience out of the way as they dashed across one face of the coliseum, leaving a trail of flying spectators in their wake and a very, very angry mob on their tail.

"This is your fault, Incarna!" Nez shouted.

"It's always mine! Why?!" Incarna shouted back.

"Because it is!" Nez shouted in her face.

Day 4, The Slums: Frank's Castle Inn: Dining Room, 8:35 AM

The scene was fairly calm, mostly normal, even considering the characters contained within. It was morning, and breakfast was being eaten by some of the TFFers, Parker, Locke, Zero, Keiko and Vex were all in the dining room eating breakfast at the time.

Although Vex seemed to be doing so savagely, attacking his food as if it had somehow wronged him. While it was a display that had the waitress staring, it still managed some degree of grace, keeping it from being slobbish.

That was about when Elidea passed through the wall behind, with a frightened look on her face, and headed towards Vex, "Don't let him get me!!!", she cried as she grabbed onto him.

"Bwuh?!" Vex said and flailed, kicking his table up and falling off his chair, and onto his stomach. "Agh?! What gives?!"

"He's scary! I don't want to be whiped! Or Spanked! Keep him away!" Elidea said in a blind panic as she still tried it use Vex as a makeshift human shield.

Now Vex is a fairly smart man, or at least smarter then the average man. And with this new information, he came to the most obvious conclusion possible.

"What were you doing on the night of June Fifth?!" Vex said as he narrowed his eyes and turned the lamp to blaze into David's eyes.

"Wha? June?" David mumbled as he squinted.

"Don't lie to me!" Vex screamed as he picked David up by the collar and shook him, "I want answers! What's the square root of seventy nine thousand four hundred and twenty one?!"

"Uh? Four?" David asked, and a few seconds later was splashed in the face by a bucket of ice water.

"Give me the answers punk!"

"What answers?!" David said as his eyes spun.

Meanwhile, in an alleyway near the former site of the CMPS, a red haired woman stewed while sitting on a pile of debris. "I'll kill him... I will find him, and I will kill him... I swear I will...", she seemed to hiss as a Fan-Blade sat nearby on the pile.

Mikako Arashojo would have her vengeance...

"Hmm... people getting a little rowdy..." I state as I step into the arena floor.

Almost immediately I saw Xerx blowing another row of people sky high with another factor of "kaboom". However, my attention was soon drawn back to the center of the floor as many people came to try and get a piece of Zen.

"So many idiots... so many souls to send to hell... So little time," I say as a grin of pure, unadulterated evil began to grace my features.

"Hey Unknown! GET YER ASS OVER HERE!" said Legacy as he leveled an unfortunate punk.

I turned toward Legacy and immediately sent a lightning bolt right beside his head, lighting another punk into charcoal. Legacy kept his mouth quiet as I saw a few hairs were singed from his head.

I then shed my hat and coat and charged at a group of punks. They never stood a chance as I lit them all up with punches, kicks and other sorts of pure striking maneuvers.

Almost letting a flamboyant part of myself show off into the crowd, I finally picked one of the idiots from the crowd, grabbed him by the throat and literally threw him into his "buddies" before engulfing them all in flames.

One big burly bastard charged straight at me with a tire iron ready to send me to la-la land. I sidestepped him, gave him a little chin music via my right foot, lifted him with a modest effort so he was upside down but was facing me, before I leveled him with a tombstone piledriver.

"Now... anyone else wish to face me?" I stated as I rolled my eyes into my head and stared at the people in the crowd.

Tremble, mortals, and despair! Doom has come upon you all!

A moment of silence descended over the Arena. Morrigan glared at Janus, who was trying to look innocent.

"What have I told you about using the Vox Dei effect indoors?"

Not looking her in the eye, Janus mumbled an inaudible reply.

"What was that?"

Nearby, David made a whipping motion, complete with sound effects.

"Not to use it, because it deafens our allies...But it's fun!"

A random grunt from the opposite side piped up:

"You know, that really was very impressive, Ma'am. You've got to give him credit for that. I think I almost shat myself, actually."

More voices started to agree with him, going completely unnoticed by Morrigan.

"Ma'am? He called me, Morrigan, queen of the succubi, ma'am! Oh that's it! Hell Clone!"

A double of Morrigan formed out of thin air, whereupon Morrigan gave it her only orders:

"Go beat the shit out of those people over there, they called us old!"

"Yes Mistress!"

Turning on Janus with an evil glint in her eye, Morrigan said firmly:

"And you, you're coming with me."

"What? But what about the battle?"

"No time for that now, I haven't had sex since we met! Let's go!"

Grabbing the feebly protesting Janus, Morrigan dragged him past the slack-jawed group of TFFers.

"Well damn..." Legacy said. "He's whipped, but that's the best kind of whipped I've ever seen."

"Yes, I suppose it is." said a voice from behind the group. Turning around, they found another Janus standing directly behind them.

"What? Don't tell me you thought she was the only one who can make clones at times like this? I didn't want to, as it splits my attention span and personality, but she forced the issue."

"Right, like you mind."

ôOkay, now that just pisses me off.ö Xerxezz grumbled and lowered the tuba case.

ôWhat?ö Tsuroko asked as the redhead flipped the case open.

ôIÆm the one supposed to carry a ridiculous amount of weapons causing mass destruction, not a pair of pre-teen lolis!ö Xerxezz yelled and hoisted a massive shoulder-fired weapon.

He pressed a button on the side and a loud vroom could be heard from the firing tube. The redhead took aim and pressed the trigger.

*THUMP*

*WHOOSH*

*WREEEEEEEEEEEEEE*

ôThatÆs a fucking chainsaw-rocket launcher!ö Joy yelled and dove for cover as the chainsaw began to cut a bloody swath through the spectator ranks.

Xerxezz smirked with glee and dropped the empty weapon. With a few quick steps he was on the side of the arena and with another step he dropped into it.

ôThereÆs nowhere to hide, nowhere to run, your city will burn like the heart of the sun!ö

ôMy thoughts exactly!ö He muttered angrily and began to run towards the two loli gun-nuts.

ôMy thoughts are your thoughts! IÆm part of you now, remember?ö

The ground underneath him suddenly erupted and he was thrown into the air. He twisted in the air and tucked his feet beneath him, he slammed to the ground and rolled a couple of times before he tumbled back to his feet.

Two very oversized guns were suddenly pointed at his face.

ôYou know, young girls shouldnÆt play with weapons, they might get hurt.ö He said and grinned. His hands drifted to the two holsters on the small of his back.

He felt their weights in his hands and with a smooth motion he pulled the two handguns and pointed them at the two girls.

The two girls looked down on their own weapons and then at the two identical handguns the redhead was wielding.

The grip was small and disappeared almost completely in his fists. The top of the weapon looked like a small syringe, with a two inch needle as a barrel.

They laughed.

ôYou know, it isnÆt how large your gun is that counts, itÆs its KABOOM factor!ö The redhead grinned and pulled the triggers.

The two girls dodged to the side and the arena wall behind them suddenly erupted into two massive explosions.

Xerxezz was thrown to the ground due to the recoil, and once the smoke cleared two thirty foot holes were clearly visible.

He tracked the two girls and fired again, and once again they dodged.

*KABOOM*

*KABOOM*

He jumped to his feet and continued to fire at the two girls, the girls naturally responded in kind. Both sides continued to dodge and fire, playing a demented form of tag where the loser would be turned into pulp.

ôYou now, I never found out why you continued with this little adventure, you could have left anytime.ö

ôI. Like. To. Kill. Things. How isnÆt that obvious by now?ö Xerxezz sounded exasperated.

ôGood answer. Now, letÆs kill them!ö

"Hah! This is sweet! Hey, more booze!" The massive figure said. Raising a hand, he smacked the serving girl across her ass hard. She yelped and scurried away, making sure she didn't trip over any of the empty bottles or cans that littered the ground. She opened the door to the private box, only to find a figure standing there.

"Ah! Oh, hello? Are you part of the entertainment?" She said, backing up. The Jester strode forward, and tilted his head.

"We-Ll, y@eS aNd% #No."

The massive bulk snorted, and it was an impressive snort indeed. "Bah! You lousy bastard! I ordered hookers, not some second rate magic act!" Straining a bit, he lifed himself to his feet. Once he had been mostly muscle, but years of a hedonistic lifestyle had taken a toll. Even so, he raised a meaty fist, and punched forward hard. He wasn't the leader of the Lead Roulette for nothing!

Outside, all eyes turned to one of the higher sections of the colosseum that had suddenly been enveloped in a void explosion. The box itself had been undamaged, and had come unconeccted to slide down the interior of the seats, coming to a stop at the edge of the arena's floor. The walls and ceiling then disintegrated, leaving The Jester standing there, holding a void blade to a trembling woman's throat, while his other hand had been jammed into the back of a man's severed head.

The head's mouth opened and shut while the corner of The Jester's mouth twitched. "H#eRe ^comEs a| nE~w chaLLen}ger!" He shouted in his groutesque ventriloquist act.

The trembling woman sobbed. "Please, please don't..."

All you can do is worthlessly beg for your disgusting life! You really with to live that badly? He had said.

"Yes. Please... please don't kill me. I'll do anything. Anything." She said. The Jester flicked the head off of his hand and placed one gore covered finger to his chin, as if in deep thought. Then he looked down at his captive.

"IS# th$At Rig^Ht?" He asked. In that case, act like a pig! He had said.

"Wha... what?"

"I_ Sa-ID A*cT L+iKE A# PI^g!"

The woman gingerly pulled away from the blade at her neck, and crawled around on all fours, making grunting sounds while The Jester watched and chuckled to himself.

You did well, he had said.

"Can I go? Can I live?"

"D*Ie, P~iG!!!" With that, he struck her twice with his blade, leaving her in three pieces. Then he through his head back and howled with laughter, with the sound growing louder and louder until most present hand to cover their ears to block the sound.

Scanning through assembled crowd, he finally came to rest his eyes on Zen. You know, I am growing rather tired of our little pattern that we've developed here, he had said. "I@ atta#cK, $yoU aNd% Yo^ur li&TTle gan*G fi]ghT m|E, t`hEn YOu- aL=L Ru+n aW(ay!" He yelled.

With that, he jammed the void blade he held into the ground, where it sank and vanished. There was a momentary pause, then a rumble came, and the entire area shook, knocking most people throughout the slums off their feet.

THERE WILL BE NO MORE RUNNING! I have waited to kill all of you long enough! I will end your existence here and now, and then continue on until it was as if life itself never existed! He had shouted.

A wing, made of the same tears in space that he wielded as weapons, burst from the right side of The Jester's back.

"T-herE wE+ g\O! T@hE #propEr to$Uch iS% ^In t|He De}Tails!"

Life... Dreams... Hope...

Where'd they come from? And where are they headed?

These things... I am going to destroy!!

"HA+HAhA#HA$H%aHA}HaH|A<HAhA~HA@hA`HAaA&A!"

Zephyrus

Searching for the six-fingered man.
Coliseum Spectators' Stand, The Slums, Underneath TFFA City, Day 4, 21st December, 9:34 AM

My, my, but isnÆt this an interesting little group.

The stadium has erupted into chaos as hoodlums and gangster of every sort drew their assorted arms in an attempt to wipe the small band of adventurers off the face of the earth.

Attempt being the key word, of course.

Zephyrus smiled slightly as he followed the sight of one unfortunate man flying through the air. Both pieces of him. Screams, shrieks, and hoarse shouts of pain and bloodlust are resonating throughout the arena, sending a delicious shiver down ZephÆs back.

Such violence. HavenÆt they heard of the word finesse?

The Romans had turned arena fighting into an artform and these crude displays of killing were in no way up to their standard.

His smile fades to a frown and a sneer of distaste mars his mouth. Speaking of crudeness, he should have known better than to shapeshift into the form of a rat. Animals with smaller brains were much harder to control. It had been quite a struggle to regain his humanity. Unfortunately, he only did so after his rat form had dined in a few garbage pits.

He could swear that there was a lingering taste of coffee grounds in the back of his mouth.

But no matter. HeÆll be more cautious in the future.

A rather large explosion from the center of the arena caused a downpour of soil and a few loose limbs. Annoyance flicker on his face and a translucent blue dome shimmered into existence just in time to save him from getting dirty.

Ah yes, the Zen girl. So much like another one that he knew in a place so far away that it was nearly another plane of existence. Very exuberant at times and yet so horribly easy to manipulate.

Her newfound persona was proof of that.

Ck-click

ôWell looky here, boys. We got us a live one.ö

A hammer cocked loudly and the cold touch of unflinching steel was jammed into the back of ZepyrusÆs skull.

ôOi, Izu! Lemme have that brown trenchcoat oÆ his when yer done. And donÆt get any brain on it!ö

ôYeah, yeah. Whatever.ö The one holding the gun snickered. ôLeast we can brag that we killed one them damn terrorists. AinÆt the CMPS got a bounty on their heads?ö

Zeph could almost hear the smirk on the otherÆs face. ôYep. Lucky for us this one was stupid enough to sit on his ass. MoneyÆs good as mine.ö

A beat.

The barrel of the gun trembled slightly. ôYou mean oursàright?ö

ôOh yeah, yeah. My bad. I meant ours.ö The voice sounded sincere enough, but the correction had come just a bit too fast.

Zephyrus smirked. Too easy. Explosions and screams punctuated his question.

ôHow much is the bounty?ö Zeph asked casually.

The gun knocked violently against the back of his skull. ôShuddup, you! WeÆre gettingÆ a thou a head.ö

ôReally? IÆm surprised that theyÆre not offering more, considering. But thatÆs good enough for you gentlemen, right Izu?ö Zeph paused slightly. He nudged the manÆs mind ever so slightly, making him more perceptible to his words. ôAfter all, a thousand between the two of you is nothing to sneeze at, right?ö

There was a long series of heartbeats. The gunmanÆs partner laughed nervously. ôAh, Izu?ö

There was no hesitation. The gunman drew the gun back from his head and emptied the entire clip into his friendÆs face.

Blam!Blam!Bl-blam!Blam!Bl-am!Blblam!

Silence punctuated by heavy breathing and the din from the Coliseum.

Warm blood and flecks of bone matter decorated the gunmanÆs front and his friendÆs body collapsed as if boneless to the stands, sprawled awkwardly over the seats.

But Zephyrus was as clean as the day that he had come into being. That translucent shield was very handy like that.

Clickàclickàclickàclickà

The forlorn sound of the empty gun attempting to fire only fueled the smile on ZephyrusÆs face.

ôVery good, Izu. YouÆve just earned yourself one thousand American dollars. And it only cost you the only friend youÆve known since childhood.ö

ôI-I neverùbut heùö Izu was sobbing now, still pulling the trigger as if it were the only thing left in the world that he could do.

ôUnfortunately, IÆm afraid you wonÆt be able to collect. IÆm rather fond of my head.ö

A twitch of ZephÆs long fingers and Izu burst into azure flame, an inferno of otherworldly origins that burned hotter than any manmade fire in the history of mankind.

The poor sod didnÆt even have time to shriek.

Slowly, Zephyrus stood up, gazing down into the chaos of the arena with one of those mysterious smiles lodged on his face.

It was about time that he had some fun. The last time heÆd really cut loose had been Pompeii and as we all very well know, that didnÆt quite work out for the residents of the dead city.

Perhaps, with these people, especially the girl, he could loosen up a bit. HeÆd been itching to use some of the more inventive spells heÆd learned. Subtlety was what he did, but drowning oneÆs self in blood had its merits as well.

He leaped into the fray to join the others.

Death had come, and it brought with it a smile.

Day 4, The Slums, Underneath TFFA; Time: Before the Brawl

"Shampoo kill lesbian space slut so hard that she die to death from it!"

LL couldn't help but sweatdrop. "Do calm down just a little, Shampoo-chan. You're starting to repeat yourself in a very reiterating manner."

The Amazoness stalked up to him and lifted him off the ground by his robe collar. "Why you suddenly decide to let her come with us?! Why we no just kill her and leave body to rot in sewer?"

"Two reasons, actually," he said as calmly as possible. "First: Because like it or not, she could probably take both of us. And B: Because she's important."

Shampoo gave him a few shakes. "What so damn important about her!?"

"Honestly, I don't know. But let's be real here: Considering how and in what condition we found her, matching that with the fact that from what I understand, several of the other guys also found girls in similar conditions, I would highly doubt that it could be coincidence." He gently removed her hands from his robe. "So until we figure out how and why she is important and who she's important to, I think it would be for the best to keep her around."

"...That stupidest thing Shampoo ever heard."

"Would you prefer I said that I was hoping to ween the two of you into a mÚnage Ó troi situation?"

For that, he recieved a rather hard punch in the face.

"But seriously," he went on, rubbing tenderly at his jaw. "Just try to put up with her for a while longer, maybe set out some ground rules with her about personal space and unwanted physical contact, and if all else fails, just wear a rubber suit."

Shampoo huffed and returned to her bed, pouting in that adorable way that LL loved.

He'd worry about his girlfriend's love problems later. Right now there was a bloody, gore-fest brawl that he needed to attend.

Coliseum in the Slums, Underneath TFFA City, Day 4, Time: After Shit Started Going Down

Floating above the chaos with the help of a Raywing spell, LL grinned his ever-present manic grin at the splender of it all. He didn't even know where to begin.

A laugh attracted his attention to the arrival of the Jester, who was already busy cleaving people into sections. The Trickster's grin widened. It seemed like as good a place to start as any.

With a quick teleportation, he reappeared directly in front of the insane clown.

"Hi again," he greeted cheerfully. "Remember me? From the courtroom?"

"g*eT OU$t of m#y F/A'ce!" the Jester demanded.

"Can you teach me how to talk like that? So far I've only been able to master Bold Caps in Brackets." He took a second to clear his throat. "[LOWLY HUMANS!] Bow before me, lest I [DISMEMBER YOU!] ...Pretty good, huh?"

Decent, the clown admitted. Now die!

Swinging his blade, the Jester came within millimeters of halving LL's body before he vanished, reappearing in the same spot an instant later.

LL chuckled. "Well if you're in a hurry... I'll be serious: I did indeed admire your amazing work back there. Gotta tell you, I didn't see the betrayal coming, though to be fair I hadn't really known you that long. But even so, Xellos-sama would have been proud.

"Be that as it may, you are attempting to kill my buddies, as well as some buddies of my buddies whom I don't really know. So I really should put a stop to you. And since I respect you a little, I'll let you choose." He picked that moment to (dramatically) open his eyes ever-so-slightly. "Shall I kill you with Crack, or Mock you to death?"

He raised his open laptop just in time to block the incoming blast of dark magic, though it still knocked him backward several yards.

Your powers are feeble, the Jester explained. Just like every other pitiful creature in this world. You have not the might, the skill nor the fortitude to match my strength. The mere fact that you would even attempt it only proves your own delusions.

A d100 appeared in his palm and began spinning wildly.

"You know," LL pointed out. "That whole dice shtick is really Xaosite's thing."

"Am I ^sup*pOSE T@O kn}o!W oR )Ca*Re w%ho THaT i^S?" he demanded, letting the di fly, exploding brilliantly before making contact with LL.

The Jester laughed loudly, but stopped when he heard the ticking sounds of keyboard keys from behind him. Turning, he found himself again face-to-face with a smoldering LL.

Persistant. How many near misses can you withstand before you perish?

"I won't have to," the Xellos-otaku stated, finishing the last of his typing in a blur of movement. "Let's see how persistant you are." And he hit Submit.
----------

Around the Colesium, everyone stopped what they were doing, having all noticed something...odd about the world around them.

"Hey," Xerxezz spoke up. "Is it just me, or is everything in this room melting?"

That did seem to be the case as far as everyone could tell. The walls appeared to be dripping down to the floor, chairs and railings were being stretched out like taffy, the ceiling lights were imploding on themselves, and a few of the nameless jobbers began screaming in horror as the flesh began melting off of their bones.

LL and the Jester looked around in wonder, though LL seemed to be a bit more confused about the whole thing than his opponent did.

So your big technique was to make me high? the Jester questioned.

Ignoring the comment, LL hit the Undo button, and to his dismay, nothing happened. Minimizing his document, he opened a new program and began scanning through it. After a few moments of silence, he looked back up with a sheepish smile on his face.

"Oopsie, seems my little buddy here somehow contracted a small virus. ...Could you please hold on while I run a quick scan to fix it?"

Jester answered by blasting him through the still-dripping wall, where he crashed into another wall, crumpling to the floor in an unconcsious heap. Making sure he wouldn't be popping up again real soon, the Jester noticed that the room was slowly returning to normal.

He grinned. "And now, back to our regularly scheduled genocide."

Just outside the melee.

David sighed and shook his head as he screwed a telescopic sight and a silencer onto his rifle. He tapped the shoulder of the person sitting in front of him. "Excuse me, could you move slightly? I have some friends down there who need my help."

The person, a pretty girl with milky-grey eyes nodded, blushed, and moved over. David looked at her for a moment, trying to place her, before shrugging, and commencing his sniping.

After a few shots, he recalled who she was. "Say, could you do me a favour?" he asked, then leaned over and whispered something in her ear. "You do that, and if I ever get around to seeing where you're from, I might write a little something for you and your beloved."

The girl squeaked in happiness, then dashed off.

"Ah well, back to sniping." David said, and plugged a .303 round right through a Thugs' crotch. He leaned back for a moment.

"Hmm.... Something's missing...." he mused. There was a sudden *BOING!* sound, and he looked up.

"DOOOOOODDDDDD!!!!!" A Penguin shouted, as it crashed into the melee and exploded.

"Ah. That's more like it." he smiled.

"nO-w *DI%e!!" An insane cackle was called as the Jester brought a fist sized six sided die into nonexistence above his hand. It begun to spin rapidly before he threw it towards throwing it towards Tsuruko.

Tsuruko moved to dodge, but at the speed it was moving, she'd be all too slow. She squeezed her eyes shut to brace for the inevitable... Which never came...

She opened her eyes, and saw the petite Silver Haired Sue that Vex had saved.

Although from her position she couldn't see it, but Elidea's eyes were glowing a brilliant gold color, encompassing her whole eye and obscuring the features thereof.

In her outstretched hand, a still void die was held, not harming her in the least.

"No." She whispered as existence closed in on the die, winking the chunk of nothingness out of existence... Or something, that shit was hard to verbalize.

"#h^o-W?!!*!" The Jester asked, clearly surprised at seeing his power being nullified.

"Because, I won't let you hurt anyone..." Elidea said, reaching her hand out, and pulling a chunk off the arena's walls with her telekinesis to slam into the Jester, and grinding through the ground for a few seconds.

After a moment, Jester pulled himself onto the slab of rock, and cracked his head back into place, "Y&oU! | w$-ILl Ki\L" He screamed and hurled another blast of nothingness at Elidea, only for her to slap it away, sending it off into the crowds of nameless punk rockers.

Elidea narrowed her glowing eyes and sunk into the ground, moments later the ground began to rumble. Then everything exploded, chunks of debris firing out into the air, the Jester in the middle of the cloud, when all of it stopped, and begun to slam into Jester. It compacted into a roughly ball shaped chunk of debris, which after floating for a moment was send slamming down into the new crater in the colloseum.

The debris rumbled for a moment before shattering, the Jester furious as space warped around him, after a few moments the distortions were so intense that one couldn't see the Jester any longer. Then beams of the distortions begun to lance out, obliterating anything that touched it.

Elidea gasped and dodged as best she could, twisting, turning, flying, and teleporting all to get out of the way of the arcs of nothingness.

She kept a cautious eye on her friends below, every one and a while forced to exert her influence to keep them safe from the obliterating touch of nothingness.

Meanwhile, over near the meltiest of the walls, Vex stared at the bottom, where a pair of feet where sticking out... "Man... I really don't want to have to kill the wicked witch of the west..."

He sighed and bent down, grasping the ankles, and pulling El El out of the chunky wall.

"Mocky Wocky Molly Holly..." He babbled, slightly less coherent then usual, a few seconds later Vex was pulling him up by the collar slapping the shit out of him.

"Wake up!" He screamed after a minute.

"But Xellos-Sama I swear I didn't eat the puddin'..." He mumbled only to receive a violent shaking in return.

Nikolaus stood amongst the brawl, a calm area, the walls and floors were being soaked crimson with the blood of the fallen warriors, but none reached here. This place where he stood, when they looked at it their minds screamed out in agony, for the unnatural was here. Though they didn't know it.

Nikolaus was chanting under his breath, and as his volume increased light began to appear, a magic circle that surrounded the entire building, trapping those into its effects. Cackling lightning shot from his fingertips, dancing along the ground, and into the corpses of the fallen; the coffins that he had set up were glowing around the edges, and seemed to about to burst with this energy, the spell of a necromancer.

"Come, rise from the ashes, rise from your wounds, rise from the very pits of hell. Take vengeance on the living, show them that the dead shall walk this Earth!" Nikolaus called out, finishing his chant. As he finished the light, all the energy, even the avoidance of where he stood, they were all removed. For they were no longer necessary. The coffins burst open, spewing out the dead into the building; the screeching, screaming dead. The corpses of the fallen began to rise again, though like puppets.

Nikolaus turned away from this scene only to find himself looking down the barrel of a gun, a CMPS officer had gotten behind him while he was distracted. The CMPS officer, a young one, fresh to the force, looked up at him uneasily, and said, "You are under arrest! It may not be the best idea right now, but do you have anything left to say before you are taken in?"

"Mh....yes. It burns into the eyes, burning out our veins, draining the pits of our lives. Summon number five," Nikolaus said under his breath. The officer looked around a bit before he blinked at him and muttering something about "insane people," and began to pull out his handcuffs. Nikolaus held out his hands as if surrendering, though as the officer began to put the cuff on his wrist he doubled over in pain.

"I would ask if you are okay, but I know you are dying. I hope you have no regrets; this really is the end for you. Goodbye, if it makes you feel any better; I am sorry for this," Nikolaus said before walking past him. The man stared back at him, his stomach burning, no his entire body burning. He felt so dry, so very....dry, but he felt a wetness on his cheeks and on his chin. Reaching up, he wiped some onto his fingers before inspecting it to find it was blood; he was bleeding from his eyes, from his mouth.

Nikolaus walked calmly along, barely a flinch at the sound of a body hitting the ground. He stepped over the dismembered body of one of the fighters, a member of one of the smaller gangs, his leader had thrown him into the fray to escape with his own life. The body was still moving, still calling out, or perhaps it had already died and revived, Nikolaus wasn't sure, nor did he care to find out. Right now he only cared about finding Sazuka; Grave was with Moka, and even if he wasn't the human who tried to do anything to her would soon find themselves dead or dying.

"Nikolaus," Sazuka said, as she walked out from one of the side passages. She was cleaning her blade, though the way she was suggested that the blood was very dirty, ah so it was rapists. She finished wiping the blade and threw the cloth she was using to the ground before continuing, "So it really was a free for all. Are there any bounties?"

"Indeed, I believe that there is a bounty on most everyone here, but we won't be able to get it..." Nikolaus stated, before looking down at the arena and beginning another chant, "Twisted in flesh and form. The destroyer arrives to bring peace to all. Summon number eleven."

At this the air twisted for a few moments before a flesh golem was revealed, this particular one wielding a mini-gun. The creature, not he or she, for they had no real sex, looked over at Nikolaus before saying, "Your orders?"

"Begin crowd control, shred or consume the corpses, we have a mass necromancy spell in place. This will improve your power and efficiency by five percent, however the undead are not under any control. Use this to your advantage if possible, do you already have the data on our allies?" Nikolaus finished, and at seeing the creature nod, continued, "good, do not hit any of them. If you see Joker, do not engage, we currently do not have a scenario in which defeat of Joker is possible. Avoid that target at all costs. Now, begin."

With the last of the orders given the golem looked back over towards the arena and did exactly as it was told, kill as many as possible.

With Grave and Moka:

Grave and Moka looked over at the group of about ten thugs from some gang or another, they stopped paying attention after the people started dying.

"Haha...you think you can beat us?" one thug crowed out.

"Ah, man....I was hoping we could have a little fun....but then if you say no..we could always just take it by force!" another thug yelled.

Grave merely stood impassively, before looking down at Moka, who looked like she just got out of a mental institution, and decided to say one thing, "do you want to kill them? Or should I?"

"This worms aren't worth dirtying my hands over. Even looking at them disgusts me, I will allow you to kill them, but make it quick," Moka replied.

"What are you gonna do big guy? gah..." the reason the thug had a moment of fear is simple, Grave had moved his coffin around while the thug was talking and revealed it's high caliber machine gun.

"Don't worry, this won't take long."

"So... what blade will I summon today?" Zero asked himself. A void blade just didn't seem right for this particular situation... He reached into the Darkness within him, and with a slight ripple in reality, a sword materialized in his hand.

"Hmm... Gades' Blade... haven't used this one for longer than I can remember." Zero buttered, brining his newly manifested blade up to block an attack.

"Haste."

The battle seemed to slow, and Zero grinned. Magic was effectoive, but when it was combined with a few other abilities, it became far deadlier.

Even though his wounds had healed, Zero could feel the ache in his body. The pain flowed through him, and focues on his sword, which began to pulse with ominous energy.

"Octo Attack."

Time stopped.

Zero grin turned malevolent, as he allowed his sword to guide him, gracefully slaughtering his helpless opponents. In the fraction of a second the ability lasted, over twenty people were killed.

The brawl around Zero fell silent, awed at his apparent power.

"Well, can't use that again for a bit... " Zero griped, "So which of you wants to die next?"

David continued to snipe the baddies from is eyre on the top of the stands. He slapped two fresh clips into his magazine as a villain snuck up behind Zero. The thug raised his axe to strike-

And dropped it as a rifle bullet splattered his brain out over the ground. David smirked as the body fell to the ground.

"Guardian Angel, at your service." he said to himself.

Day 4, The Slums: The Colloseum 10:10AM

At the edge of the arena, two men discussed last minute plans. One was short, and the other was tall and slender; but even in the tailored black suits, black hats, and sunglasses, the men were easily identified as bishounen.

"Remind me why we're doing this, Elwood," the short one said.

Elwood replied, "We're on a mission from Goddess."

With that, the two men entered the melee - not really so much entered as strutted, flipped, and danced their way across the arena floor to some tune no one could hear - except some could. Some of the fighters were confused enough to pause for a moment, but ones that did were quickly reduced to kibble by Xerxezz. The two men stopped near Unknown who was sending another soul off on the Last Ride and wait until they have his attention.

"How much for the little girl? How much for the women?" Jake asked, pointing to Sidhe and Rin who had stopped for a moment to chat behind a bow-wearing prinny.

Unknown stared at the man. "Oop?"

"Your women," Jake continued. "I want to buy your women. The little girl and the other girl. Sell me your children."

"This Deadman is gonna enjoy sending you to hell," Unknown said, as lightning crackled around him.

"Jake? Do you remember what the Goddess said about me advising you?" asked Elwood.

"Yeah," said Jake, backing away from Unknown.

"I'm advising that we run."

They fled with lightning nipping at their heels.

Colosseum, The Slums, Underneath TFFA City, Day 4, 21st December, 10:11 AM

After a moment's pause, the chunk of scenery that encapulated The Jester exploded outward, showering the area with high speed dust and pebbles. Standing in the center, he made a show of brushing some dust off himself.

"H@EhE`hE! Th#At Was$ ra%THer char~mINg! Yo>U acTu}ally th-Ink =You c+aN sAve_ AN&YOnE whi)Le I*'M Ar$ounD!" He cackled, slowly circling the silver-haired sue with the glowing golden eyes. Elidea's eyes narrowed.

Forming another swarm of void dice around him, they swirled and sped around him like electrons to an atom. The cloud grew thicker and thicker with dice, until one could barely see the figure within. Suddenly, from right below her feet, a swarm of them burst out of nowhere. Caught off guard, she was unable to counter them all, and some of them struck true.

Another set, straight in front of her, again burst out of nowhere, though from a bit further away than the ones beneath her feet. She was able to sucessfully defend herself from this group.

Finally, The Jester spread his limbs, and the dice that srrounded him burst out in all directions, before they all vanished a short ways away from him. As more bursts shot out from behind and then above her, she realized just what he was doing.

"He's... he's attacking throught time itself!" She exclaimed in shock, even as he charged her, void blade at the ready even as more dice swarmed out of nowhere straight at her from all sides.

Finding herself beset on too many sides at once, she was eventually sent speeding into the side of the arena wall, badly injured.

Come one, come all! You cannot run, you cannot flee! All shall meet their end! And thus, perfection shall come to the multiverse once again! The Jester had shouted.

--------------

Down below, Tohno, Mihoshi, and Soifon had been attempting to find an escape route, but so far there had been no luck. Many doors had simply become inoperable, as if they had been reduced to a part of the scenery. Others lead literally nowhere. And other...

"Oh my! Is the arena match over already?" Kasumi said, looking over from where she sat.

"Um, I'm not surrre. It's a bit complicated." Tohno said, sweat dropping. Looking around, she saw that Konoka was stirring in bed.

"Is she waking up?" Mihoshi asked.

"More importantly, is she ready to run? I have a bad feeling that you will not be safe in here much longer." Soifon added, looking arund nervously. She grabbed the door and attempted to shut it, but found it locked in place, immoble.

"What is going on here? This place is acting all freaky!" Mihoshi cried.

Pulling out her silver d20 holy symbol, Tohno clasped it between her hands and began to pray. After a short moment, the die somehow slipped between her fingers, and began to roll down the hallway. The group stared after it a moment.

"Quickly! Afterrr that die!" Tohno commanded, and they charged off after it.

Vex looked up, and shook his head. "Honestly, if you're going to babble, couldn't it have some sort of cryptic clues or anything?"

"A clown is my friend. A clown is not a big spider. A clown will not bite me and throw me in the basement." LL responded.

Vex groaned and shook his head. As he did, he noticed a silvery d20 roll by, followed by Xaosite's followers, Kasumi, with a stirring Konoka being carried by Mihoshi.

"Oooh! Pretty! Sparkly!" LL cried out, and suddenly lurched off after them.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing? I don't get credit for saving you if you run off and get killed!" He yelled as he pulled up the rear of the chase.

Eventually, the d20 rolled up too, and then through, a set of metallic doors with a pair of numbers etched above them. "Why is there an elevator down here? And why does it only go to one other floor? And why is that other one Floor 13? Buildings don't have those!" Vex wondered out loud.

Tohno, Mihoshi, Soifon, and Kasumi all looked at each other, and then Tohno quickly pressed the button.

OOC: The following is EI's post. It has nothing to do with me. I was supposed to write up a coliseum battle scene involving Nez, Incarna, and Zen to go along with this but it's taking too long so EI suggested putting this one up first.

...don't blame me, Mick...May the force be with you....

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZz

Spare Room in Frank Castle's Inn, The Slums, Underneath TFFA City, Day 4, 21st December, 12:21 AM

"Oh shit on me..." Mick muttered to himself upon returning to the room only to find the window open and no signs of Ei-chan. "....And I thought I had completely broken her...well, I guess the book was right..." He sighed, placing a book titled 'Idiot's Guide to Slave Training.' on a nearby table. "It takes just that much more..." He nodded with determination.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

A bridge over a sewage line, The Slums, Underneath TFFA City, Day 4, 21st December, 1:14 PM

She remembers it! Well, only a fraction of it...but she remembers why she was there. A Will...a powerful and evil Will, had told her to go and do something horrible. Something really really horrible...to people she cared about. But she can't remember who that will was, or who those people she cared about was. All she knew was that if that Will ever found her again she'd start hurting people again. She couldn't let that happen!

She leaned out over the railing of the bridge and looked down at the raging currents in the sewer below. Will it be enough?

...it had to be. She can't let that evil Force take control of her again. She must end it, here and now.

...why did it have to be a sewage drain full of shit though? And why was there so many dead bodies floating along in it?

Oh well, another dead body won't make much of a difference.

"Ei-chan!" A voice shouted out.

Crap...what did he want now? Hasn't he had enough over the past few hours?

"Just...what are you doing?!" Mick managed to ask amidst panting for breath as he ran up to Ei-chan.

"Look, I appreciate what you tried to do for me, I really do." Ei-chan said. "But..." A dark look passed over her face. "She will find me...and she will gain control of me again. And then I'll start hurting people again. I don't want that." She said as she blinked away her tears. "...I really don't want that. So...just let me be. Nobody will miss me."

"You clearly didn't get the message, did you?" Mick sighed. "All that matters is that I've ordered you to live. You only need to live. You need not worry about anything else."

"....that's easy for you to say, but what about...." Ei-chan began.

"You still lack training." Mick said. "A slave should leave everything in the hands of the master. I, as your master, will not let anyone else touch you."

"...but, my mind can be...." Ei-chan tried to argue.

"After I'm done with you, you will fear nothing but me. You shall have no will but mine. No will but mine will control you. And nothing but I can cause you pain." Mick said, a confident edge to his voice.

Ei-chan seemed deep in thought for a moment as she considered her choices. But...leaving her life in the hands of someone else seemed better than throwing it away...

"...then do it. Train me." Eterna-chan finally murmured. "If you can free me from that darkness, then I shall be yours, forever, Master." She said, holding her leash up to Mick.

(With special thanks to Locke, David, LL, Zeni, Zerohour, and Vex for their help and input.)

With the annoying Mary Sue dealt with, and no one else seeming up to take his challenge, The Jester descended to the ground. Looking to the side, he saw his main target, Zen, who since the fight had broken out had stood in a seemingly catatonic state. "A-H, gO)Od, y*oU've fiNally& co^mE $tO yo%uR s#Enses a@Nd g`iVen Up~!"

He formed another blade in his right hand, while oblivion dice swarmed around his left. As he was about to stalk over, he was suddenly knocked from his feet as a blur shot by him. Floating back upright, he turned to see that it had been Zero.

With a snarl, a swarm of negation dice formed around Zero and streamed into him, but to no effect. Well, there was one thing. He just laughed at The Jester.

The Jester circled around the arena, staring down at his opponent. Letting out a frustrated grunt, the swarm of oblivion dice and void blade vanished.

Zero grinned back. "I told you before; you can't use that kind of power against me! Why don't you just be a good little boy and give up?"

The Jester shook his head. Must you really give me so little credit? He had asked. Forming a fist, he slammed it into the air behind him, shattering it open into another portal. This time, however, he reached in and pulled out a chunk of blazingly bright light, twisting and turning in its attempts to escape from his grip.

Zero shielded his eyes, the blazing light almost painful to him. "What the hell is that? How come you can touch it? You're a creature of the darkness, like me!"

"HE+hEH$EH%AhHa^HhA|A~AA! Yo*U A>ll }stIll do`n'T GE%t iT=, D@o yO/U?" Vanishing from where he floated, he appeared right in front of Zero, and slammed the light into his gut. Zero fell back with a howl of pain as the positive energies tried to unmake him. After a moment, the pain subsided, but he fell to one knee, gasping for breath.

I suppose I must explain what I truly am, he had said. Honestly, haven't any of you been paying attention? Listen to this! He had shouted.

Oh, wait, you can't! That's because I'M NOT SAYING ANYTHING! What you're doing isn't hearing what I say, but remembering what I've said! I'm not talking, I'M CHANGING REALITY SO THAT YOU REMEMBER ME SAYING THIS! The Jester had ranted.

There was a crack in the air, and The Jester's head jerked to the side. Over from his hiding point in the sides of the spectator's stands, David quipped, "If you aren't saying anything, then just shut the hell up already!"

Ingrate! Here I am, carefully detailing just why it is that you're all doomed, and you just don't appreciate it! The Jester had snarled. "HE+hEH_E\hEHA~HaH#A! NO mAtter! I@T Is$n'T l^iKe y*oU haVe& a% cH<ance!" He mocked.

"You've already done that one! Give us some new lines, at least!" A shout came from the arena floor. All heads turned to see Zen, headband in her hand, as she stared defiantly up at The Jester.

He shook his head, as he spread his arms, gesturing mockingly as he spoke. "O@H #wEll, loo$K wh%O f~Inally deC`ided tO^ joI&n The* F)racAs! Litt(Le Ze-N! _HOw ni=Ce oF+ yo]U To} Jo|In T\he conV<erSation!"

"I've stood here and watched your abuse for too long! It's time I did something about it!"

Aww, how noble! Trying your hero lines out, sister? You all try and you try, but you just don't have a chance against me! I am the agent of the perfect order of the multiverse! He had taunted back.

"No matter... what you do... we'll never give up." Zero gasped out.

"That's what living is about, what you could never understand!" David shouted out.

"That's why we'll defy you, and why we'll beat you!" Zen finished, eyes blazing.

The Jester reared back, as if their words had physically injured him, and spat, "Ga~H! DisGu_stiNG!!" You all sound like chapters from a self-help booklet! He had continued.

Cupping his hands together, he formed a massive ball of oblivion, and raised it above his head. Before he could throw it, however, a penguin like creature sailed out from the stands, and hit the ground beside him and exploded.

"Prinny tossing, for the win!" Locke shouted out.

When the smoke cleared, The Jester's oblivion ball was gone, and he himself was covered in soot. Breathing out a puff of black smoke, he shook himself and the smudges just seemed to wear off.

Zen reached for her head, and tied the bandanna on. After a moment, there was a small explosion of pink smoke that smelled of exotic spices and incense. When the smoke cleared away, Zen stood in a set of diaphanous silks and strips of cloth that only barely managed to keep the naughty bits covered up. "Harem girl Zen, has arrived!" She shouted out.

There was a moment of silence.

*Chirp* *Chirp*

"BW#AhAHA%HaHA*HA! I~S th`At R}eally t-He be*sT Yo>u co_UlD dO\?" The Jester laughed.

--------------

With an anticlimactic *ding* the elevator doors opened, and the group of Tohno, Mihoshi, Soifon, Konoka, Kasumi, LL, and Vex fell out, groaning.

"Who's hand is on my ass?"

"Not mine."

"Not mine."

"Not mine."

"Let me check." *squeeze*

"Damnit, LL!" Vex shouted.

As the group pulled themselves to their feet, they took a good look at their surroundings. At least, they would have if there were any surroundings to look at.

"There, there isn't ANYTHING here!" LL said, shocked.

"How are we even standing? I mean, there isn't even a floor! At least, I can't tell." Vex said, shaking his head, then quickly stopping. Trying that had invoked a sense of incredible vertigo.

"Wait! Look!" Soifon pointed, and off in the distance a glint of silvery light could be seen.

"My holy symbol! Quickly, afterrr it!" Tohno shouted, charging forward without so much as a backwards glance.

The others looked at each other and sighed, then charged off after her.

After an indeterminable amount of time, they found themselves standing at a door set in the middle of the darkness.

Circling around it, Soifon muttered, "I am really getting sick of this. It's just a door in the middle of nowhere! Could things please start to make sense soon!"

Gulping nervously, Tohno reached out, grasped the door handle, and pulled. After a moment, looking around to see if there were any nasty surprises, the group filed in.

Looking around, the 'interior' of the room was just as featureless as the outer area had been. The only object inside was a small pile of fine, sparkling dust. The d20 rolled up to the pile, then stopped.

"What's going on? Wherrre's Xaosite-sama?" Tohno cried out, her voice rising in a panic.

"He's, he's... he couldn't be..." Mihoshi said, stunned.

"This isn't right! Where the hell are you?!? Show yourself you bastard!" Soifon shouted, her voice breaking slightly.

Vex and LL looked at each other, a sense of dread growing. "You don't think he's really..." Vex asked.

"No! I mean, he's a god! By that definition, doesn't that mean it's not possible?" LL answered.

Konoka walked forward, stumbling a bit. Pulling out her fans, she knelt down to the dust pile and began to invoke in ancient Japanese. There was a blinding flash, and Konoka passed out once again.

Kasumi knelt down and lifted Konoka in her arms. The group stood still for a moment, then noticed that the dust was beginning to shift. Finally, it began to stream up, and swirled around in a miniature dust cloud. After a moment's pause, it streamed out the door.

The group charged back out of the room. LL sighed to himself. "We run this way, we run that way. Can't we ever be where we need to be already?"

--------------

"Ooof!" Zen grunted as she was slammed back against the wall of the arena. She began to stand up, only to see The Jester already looming over her.

Fallen One. The Jester had intoned, even as he reached forward and placed a hand, surprisingly gently, on her head. Zen froze for a moment, then slumped to the ground, the fight completely drained out of her.

"Eve~rYone, Tak-e *A gOo$D lOOk@!" He shouted, then harshly gripped Zen by the hair and tossed her to the central part of the arena floor. "Th@E U#ltimaTe shoW$ i%S ^cOming t(O aN- e~nD!!!" He snapped his fingers, and suddenly, despite their best efforts, all others found themselves unable to act. It was as if they were being forced to watch a non-interactive cut scene.

Gripping his void blade high, he sneered down at Zen. Goodbye, my sister. Die, knowing that every living thing you've ever cared about will soon follow you! He had said, then swung the blade down.

...

"Wh#aT!!!??!?!?!!"

Zen looked up, and saw that the blade had been stopped scant inches away fom her, being held back by a hand floating him midair surrounded by a cloud of swirling dust. After a moments pause, there was a pulse, and the blade shattered, with The Jester knocked back, still on his feet.

Book 4, Part 2: Rebirth, Verse 1:1 You are correct that this show is coming to an end. And I think you're going to be very surprised with the ending.

How? How can this be? I have your power! The Jester had cried out, shocked as he stared up at the swrling could of sparkling dust.

Book 4, Part 2: Rebirth, Verse 1:2 Exactly. That is my power that you have. Now that I've been set free, I am taking it back. And there isn't a single thing you can do about it.

After that, the cloud of dust formed into the shape of Xaosite, though his form was hazy, ethereal. He held out one arm, and the form of The Jester shattered, the various bits and pieces flowing back into Xaosite.

"N#O! NO%OOo@oOo-O!!" The Jester cried out, but in vain. No matter what he tried, he simply could not command the forces he once had. Xaosite had been speaking the truth, they truly were his powers.

Am, am I dying? What is this? I'm, I'm AFRAID! I don't want to die! I want to live! How can I be the end of all life if I'm gone! I can't let this happen! I just can't! The Jester had cried out.

Suddenly, an idea struck him. Reaching with the last bits of strength he could muster, he charged up everything that he was, everything that wasn't a part of Xaosite, and struck out with a tiny portion. Xaosite reeled back as his mind was assaulted by The Jester's own energies, and he took this opportunity.

Reaching out, The Jester plunged his hand through his chest, and ripped out a tiny core of his being. Holding it out to the side, his wing curled around, and he fired that tiny ball of his self through it and into the void beyond.

The light faded from The JesterÆs body. It went still, and then burst into a fine powder, which flowed into Xaosite, restoring him completely whole. All that was left was a twisting bit of dark energy, but without a hold on reality, it quickly faded away into nothingness.

Xaosite straightened out, and then brushed himself off. He sighed, and looked around. He opened his mouth, but then...

"MASTER!!"

He found himself glomped onto by a scantily clad and very affectionate Zen, who wasted no time in wrapping herself around him, rubbing her face against him.

"Guhwhahh?" Xaosite said, staring in complete shock. Glancing wildly around, he saw that Tohno, Mihoshi, and Soifon were staring at him, mouths gaping open as their faces tried to decide whether they were overjoyed or enraged. Others were pulling themselves from the rubble, with similar looks of shock.

"Hey guys, what did I miss... WHAT THE FUCK??!?" Mick said as he dashed up, eyes bugging out in a way that eyes simply should not do.

"Whoo boy. Why do I have the feeling I'd rather be trapped back there right about now?" Xaosite said, sweat dropping.

Location: N/A, Time: N/A

That was a fine plan. A failure like all the others, was said.

Indeed. Still, all responsibility on our part had been avoided, was added.

Now all that needs to be done is to clean up this last bit of evidence... what? Was finished with shock.

What, what is he doing? Was asked.

This is impossible! We cannot be... GRAARGH!! Was groaned.

No! Stop him! We cannot let him escape! HURK!! Was gasped.

Stay... stay back! This... this cannot be done! AAAAHHHHH!! Was screamed.

The last cartridge clinked to the ground at David's feet as he backed away from his sniping. Slinging the rifle over his shoulder, he made his way down to the arena, where Mick and Xaosite were. "Good to have you back, Xaosite." he said, patting him on the shoulder. "I was worried about you, y'know?" Belldandy came over as well, and gave him a hug.

David looked around the arena, at the piles of bodies, and the holes and melted parts and chuckled. "We made quite a mess, didn't we?"

"Hey, she's my slave! Get your grubby hands offa her!!" exclaimed Mick.

Xaosite merely twitched at the other man's exclamation. "Slave? Just what new fetish have you been getting yourself into?!"

Before he could answer, he heard some rubble being pushed aside and a metallic juggernaut entered the scene. "You know, I was wondering where you went," mumbled David.

"Coffee run." Epsilon held up his special styrofoam cup in his left hand and took a sip while his little sisters enjoyed their own hot cocoas. Irisviel also had a cup of cocoa and was enjoying the simple and delicious brew.

"You didn't get any for us?" whined Mihoshi.

The super virus shrugged. "You never asked. So what did I miss?"

"Master has returned!" cried Zen happily, much to Xaosite's discomfort.

"...... I don't think I want to know. Just keep your crazy games away from my sisters, ok?"

The God of Dice was about to say that he was never involved in this game anyway but one look at Epsilon's right claw caused him to say nothing, smile and nod pleasantly.
