Well, thing were wayyyy different here. SRX got absorbed first thing by Septuagint when the bick lunk of crystal got to space.
But, you did remember Dis Astranagant appearing in episode 1 ? Well, it cames back. And, true to form, proceeded to free SRX, before fusionning with it to produce what has been called the DiSRX :

Which then proceeded to freaking oneshot Septuagint core :

other things of note during this episode, at least an animated version of Cosmo Nova doing justice to the sheer ownage of this attack.

What.

The.

Hell?

Oneshot Septuagint Core? 'Overkill much?' about sums it up, yes.

Reminds me of when I first fought the Hitoshura in Diital devil Saga: Avatar Tuner.

YAY! I have 999 HP!

*gets hit by a 17,000 damage attack that can't be voided*

...ow, my spleen. :blue:

WHERE IS YOUR IDE NOW

But if you think about it, while this is surprising and unexpected, is kinda logical. Cobray's role in the SRW multiverse is being something like a cosmic balance The Divine Wars universe is really unbalanced in terms of military strengh. At this point, the Earth's forces strongest unit (plot wise) is the SRX, and it is only as strong as the Judeccca. Trying to win a fight against Septuagint is a suicide. If it weren't for Cobray, I just can't see how they could defeat it in an animated version.

IF they make a second season covering OG2, the fight with Einst Regisa can be a little easier without screwing the canon (a sacrifice of Ryuko-oh/Koryu-oh or the Time Flow engine of the Excelece blowing up).

Whose side is Shuu on, anyway? Theoretically, early on in OG he's on the Earth forces' side, in a very warped and twisted sense.

From what I know of him, which isn't much, he's on his own side... although I heard he's being controlled or was once controlled by Volkruss.

His absence from the later eps of the anime lend just a little bit more credence to the eventual existence of a second season.

http://srwog.velv.net/ is a nice place to get some basic knowledge on people/mecha of the SRT universe. There are prolly better sites out there though.

if you have played the first half of SRWGaiden Maso Kishin for the SNES that part is still cannon to Masaki and Shu in both OG and Alpha (both assume you've played at least that much of that game). and it also explains why Masaki was so pissed at Shu (Shu killed the man that somewhat adopted Masaki when he assulted Langrand) that much is still cannon and yes he should be still controled by Volkruss at this time (as the Ragnorok hasn't happened yet).

The REAL Shuu Shirakawa died in battle with Masaki and Psybuster in SRW3. And then he was... resurrected, or cloned, whichever you want it to be, by Volkruss. However, something went wrong in the process. The original Shuu was controlled by Volkruss via a soul link. In death, that link was severed. The second Shuu became 'outraged' at the idea of being controlled that he went and slaughtered his former lord.

As for which side he is... neither. In a universe of black and white, Shuu the second is a gray area. He lends help every now and then to the Earthlings, which irritates Masaki (I think Shuu enjoys making Masaki angry) but sometimes he just witnesses certain events.

In short, Shuu's side is Shuu's side.

He was resurrected by some idiot who worsipped Volkruss, if I remember the events in EX correctly... he was none too happy about it, though, and made a point of beating the everloving shit out of the new avatar Volkruss picked. It's just hilarious how much Shin Nagazadd got pwned in that battle - Shuu can literally 3HKO him by his lonesome.
