Evangelion The Angel of Doubt Fact Challenge

I've got a few ideas for a Hitchhiker's Guide/Evangelion crossover, but I still need to get the creative juices flowing, so, I am going to try my hand at a facts challenge. So, here we go.

1. Try to limit yourself to Eva and Guide characters and events, ect. But if you toss in a crossover character every now and then, that's fine too.

2. Managable level of prompts, please.

Alright then, let's see if I can give this a shot! Crank up Journey of the Sorcerer and grab yourself a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster!

Ford Prefect

Shinji

Marvin!

Asuka
Ford Prefect
1. Was shocked to wake up after Stravomeula Beta and find himself in bed with a purple haired woman. After spending the next week in the sack, Ford decided two things. First, he needed this woman's help in editing the Guide entry on Eccentrica Gallumbits. And second, he could get used to being this Kaji guy for a little bit.

2. Was the first person to figure out Asuka's biological father.

3. Somehow knew it was probably a mistake to send Shinji Ikari to meet his semi-cousin Zaphod, but figured it would straighten the boy out.

Shinji
1. Did not react to having a Babel Fish put in his ear. After a few months of LCL, he actually found the sensation of a fish wriggling into his ear more pleasant than being in what was effectively a tampon shaped tube filled with a blood-scented liquid.

2. Was actually happy to leave Earth and begin Hitchhiking across the galaxy. He didn't want to have to sit through another one of Rei's poetry readings. He wouldn't even wish that on his father.

3. Hates being compared to Marvin. He knows he isn't even that bad.

Marvin!
1. Was not surprised to wind up reincarnated on Impact Earth. Even in death, his life was still miserable.

2. Once attempted to interface with the MAGI, but was halted by an EMP shot by Ritsuko Akagi, who then encased him in Bakelite and stored him in the Reiquarium.

3. Is responsible for the utter failure of the Dummy Plug.

Asuka
1. Was shocked to learn that not only was she part English and not part German, but she also had a (possibly) older sister named Random.

2. Asuka has been in a coma twice in her life. The first time was shortly after Shinji left and she foolishly let Rei recite her poem "Yaoi Anal Copulation".

3. Only acted like she loved Kaji so much to try to goad him into showing her what he kept locked in that box in his closet. She hated secrets, and she had a sinking suspicion it hat something to do with her.

Arthur Dent

Zaphod

Arthur Dent
1. Rather liked Post-Second Impact Earth. After traveling so long, it was nice to come back to a home in one piece. It was an added bonus that he now had prime beach front real estate.

2. Arthur never regretted the wild oats he had sown to finance his hitchhiking, even if it raised the question of just how many other children he had around the world and the universe.

He was troubled, if not a bit flattered, that someone was selling his seed as that of a genius.

3. Almost pushed his good friend Ford off of a high rise building in Tokyo-3 upon finding out just how affectionate his daughter seemed to be.

Zaphod
1. Was simultaneously re-elected as President of the Galaxy and cleared off all charges pertaining to his self-kidnapping and theft of the Heart of Gold.

2. Zaphod never thought Shinji was a square, at least, not after he gave him a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster and set him loose on the campus of the University of Maximegalon. The ensuing two week long party has become the stuff of Maximegalon fraternity legend.

After that, Zaphod was actually pretty proud of his handiwork.

3. Invented the wildly popular drink, called (ironically on Earth) the Second Impact.

Where he got the required amount of S2 organs is a secret that neither he nor Gendo Ikari is willing to devulge.

Eddy
1. As a side effect of his successful interfacing with the MAGI, Eddie imprinted his G.P.P. onto the trio of computers.

NERV began to fear the cheerful cry of, "Hey everyone! It's just so great to tell you that I've detected an Orange Pattern somewhere in the city!"

2. Enjoyed interfacing with Maya Ibuki the most while she was analyzing the Heart of Gold.

3. Eddie was copied into Unit-00 as the basis for a new A-10 interface.

The only pilot who could stand it was Rei.

Misato

Trillian

Rei
Misato
1. Had never felt the strange mixture of the emotions pride and anger until she discovered her listing on the Guide's list of "Things to See and Do on Earth".

2. Feels that Arthur Dent would make a much better choice of a man than Kaji and actually voiced her intentions.

She has of yet not been able to make good on her intentions, because Asuka took the offhand comment "I'm going to be your new mommy." the completely wrong way.

3. Feel in love with the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster in college, but would not taste one again till Zaphod came to Tokyo-3.

Upon meeting with the man behind the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster, she helped create his second legendary drink, the Second Impact. She disagreed with the name, but drank it anyway.

Trillian
1. Never intended on returning to Earth, instead she traveled with Zaphod and her estranged daughter Random Frequent Flyer Dent on the Heart of Gold.

It wasn't until after they received the message from Ford on Earth that she finally returned and was reunited with her old companions, even Marvin, much to her dismay.

2. Took a job in NERV Public Relations, and quickly became the public face of said organization.

3. Became good friends with Maya Ibuki, thought she really could do without all the rumors of the Akagi/Ibuki/McMillan love triangle.

Rei
1. Felt indifferent when she found out that the true nature and origin of the Angels.

In fact, she took a small hint of pride in being the single prettiest being with any amount of Vogon DNA in the entire Galaxy.

2. Could never explain why she has always enjoyed Yaoi, Shonen-ai and poetry.

Her favorite poem she has ever penned happens to be about her classmates Touji and Kensuke, much to the disgust of anyone she has read it too.

3. Was the person who removed Marvin from Bakelite and subsequently allowed him to link with her sisters.

Luthorne said:
Touji

Gendo

Unit-01
Touji
1. Secretly downloaded a copy of Rei's poem "Glasses and Jock" from the internet and has read it to his sister while she is in the hospital.

Strictly for her entertainment, of course.

2. After the accident with his activation test, Touji was approached by Trillian, who suggested he go with her into space and see some doctors.

He returned to Earth with three legs and a second head.

3. Has yet to recipracate the advances of Hikari, no matter how much she tells him how hot having a second head is.

Gendo
1. Nearly killed Ritsuko after she informed him that Shinji had vanished.

He nearly killed himself when he found out that Shinji had the ability to stop his scenario from progressing. Not his Instrumentality plan, but his side business with Zaphod Beeblebrox to market S2 organs for the immensely popular drink the Second Impact.

2. In a fit of drunken rage actually mistook Marvin for his own son Shinji, due to their own similar, sulking natures.

He ended up with a broken left hand and a broken ego, the former healing far faster than the latter.

3. As a result of having the Angel Adam in his body, Gendo Ikari has a voracious appetite for shellfish, specifically crabs.

Unit-01
1. The semi-disembodied soul of Yui Ikari knew a great deal more about the nature of the Universe than most humans, because she had transcended the human form.

She was the first person to truly learn the Ultimate Question to the Ultimate Answer of Life, The Universe and Everything. She never shared it with her son during any of his syncing or when she took control of the Evangelion. She would leave it up to him to learn it.

2. Unit-01 is actually based on DNA taken from a shockingly higher evolved Vogon, created specifically for the destruction of all possible Earths.

Curiously enough, Unit-01 would play little role in finally saving the Earth.

3. The real reason that Unit-01 won't accept anyone but Shinji as it's pilot is not due to the presence of Yui Ikari. It is due to the fact that as a Vogon-based lifeform, it has yet to see the completed bureaucracy to allow activation for another pilot.

Who put through the required papers for Shinji remains unknown.

Sorry it took this long, I went out for dinner this evening after work. I see two fresh posts which I will try to get too soon.

Thanks again for your interest!

And do remember that down the line you can ask for characters again if you'd like.

Ooh, a bit of a hiatus I took. I've actually began working on the actual story, The Angel of Doubt, but I figured I would come back to the fact challenge to keep in top form.

(Actual topic for The Angel of Doubt can be found in NGE Previews, or through this link.)

So here we go!

Deep Thought

The cloned archaeologist named Lintilla (I do not care witch one)
Fenchurch
1. Had mostly forgotten about Arthur Dent, intergalactic hitchhiking, and really anything past the destruction of the Earth Mk. I, taking up a job as an airline Stewardess for British Airways.

2. Her memories were rekindled when one of her co-workers told her a rather odd tale about a man with a fishbowl with a seeming deathwish at Heathrow.

3. Upon arriving in Tokyo-3, Fenchurch was almost trampled by the foot of Unit-02, which was curiously playing tag with Unit-00.

Deep Thought
1. Sighed in frustration as it watched the Earth be destroyed numerous times.

2. Threw up it's metaphorical hands at the antics of the Vogons as Angels.

3. Was surprised as all get out that anyone still cared it existed, but was proven wrong when Shinji Ikari came by to visit, wanting information on how to defeat the Vogons.

It was then that finally, Deep Thought worked out some pent-up frustrations and felt a great deal better about it's station in the universe.

Lintilla
Sadly, I got nothing. I've only heard bits and pieces of the radio series on NPR. My knowledge extends to all five books, the movie and parts of the television series. My deepest apologies.

Eccentrica Gallumbits

Zarniwoop

Eccentrica Gallumbits
1. Was outright offended when someone had the gall to put in the Guide that someone was as talented as her.

2. Was the other half of the first human-on-alien lesbian pornographic film alongside the purple haired bombshell Misato Katsuragi.

3. After experiencing, (and subsequently copying) a oral technique called "The Purple Llama's Tounge" from one talented Earthling, Eccentricia grudgingly admitted that Misato Katsuragi was her equal.

Zarniwoop
1. Retook the office of Editor-in-Chief of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy after he finally found a way off his exile with the Man who Ruled the Universe.

2. Turned a huge profit from selling the most successful bi-species lesbian pornographic film, ever.

Taking his money and spending it on one of the most extravagant custom planets Magrathea had ever built.

3. Took a large interest in the planet Earth after learning of all the things that were happening on it.

To make up for some of his less than savory actions in the interest of karma, Zarniwoop donated a large sum of money that was used to build a new Antarctica.

Slartibartfast
1. Took a long vacation to Earth, and was never seen on Magrathea again.

2. Is the only other person aside from Ford that really knows what caused Shinji to actually care about saving the World.

3. Is responsible for the disappearance of a great portion of Norway.

Little did people know that the void on the map was caused by several Somebody Else's Problem fields.

....

There we go! Not the best, but... It has helped me get some more stuff straightened out! Thanks for reading!

Kensuke
Pen-Pen
1. Was once involved in a rather unfortunate incident with Asuka after a particuarly long sync test, which caused the penguin to wear a neck brace for nearly a week.

In his defense, he really did think she had fish on her person.

2. Favors Shinji over Misato for the obvious reason that Shinji feeds him actual food, much less good food, as opposed to the poison Misato passes off as nourishment.

3. Upon discovering that Shinji Ikari could understand his speech, he simply suggested to Shinji to ask Misato "What the flippers of the Large-mouthed Bass are used for."

Hikari
1. Always had a gigantic crush on Touji, and had no idea that Touji was really, really into glasses.

2. Was the first to volunteer for the exchange program offered by NERV, headed by Tricia "Trillian" McMillan, the "Reserve Pilot Training Program".

Upon completion, Hikari almost always wore her modified plugsuit under anything she wore.

3. Eventually came to terms with the fact that she was in love with Shinji Ikari, though she doesn't know if she'll ever get to tell him.

Kensuke
1. Obtained a copy of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and then spent seventy-two hours straight reading military related articles.

2. Snuck aboard the starship Heart of Gold and attempted to steal it to make his way to Frogstar, in a vain attempt to get an intergalactic battleship.

3. Through much badgering, begging and pleading, he was finally able to fufill his wild fantasy of piloting an Evangelion, when he took control of Unit-00 in a combat sortie, the details of which are still a tightly guarded secret by NERV.

Kensuke, and his press agent Zaphod Beeblebrox have both stated they are "Waiting for the right price" to share the story.

The Bridge Bunnies

Ritsuko

Fuyutsuki
The Bridge Bunnies
1. Interestingly enough, Makoto and Shigeru were the ones who coined the eponymous title "Bridge Bunnies" in the context applied to NERV staff.

Alcohol and softcore pornography coupled with the male libido and a healthy imagination is truly one of the Universes greatest combinations.

2. There are several unofficial "Bridge Bunnies", including Eddie, Arthur Dent and even Kensuke Aida.

3. Moonlight as an alternative rock band on the side with Rei.

Ritsuko
1. Hates the fact that she is widly regarded as a "Alien dissecting psychopath" by her former college friend Ryoji Kaji, the alias of Ford Prefect.

2. Kept her discovery of Marvin secret from all of NERV, even from Gendo Ikari himself. Choosing to encase Marvin in bakelite and stash him in a closet in the Terminal Dogma.

3. Eventually stopped dying her hair, keeping her reason to herself.

Fuyutsuki
1. Is the person who gave Ford and Shinji the travel clearance to go to Norway.

2. Though he would never admit it, after a few Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters, Fuyutsuki revealed how he made a small fortune from selling cloning secrets to a man by the name of John Hammond.

3. Has attended every single show The Bridge Bunnies have put on, albeit in secret.

....

Sorry if some seem rushed, trying to get something in before I go to work! (Also, check the story topic, the last half of chapter two is posted.)

Given that your Rei is part Vogon, is it too much to hope that she does not write the lyrics for the songs that are performed by The Bridge Bunnies?

Man, it's been way to long and I am sorry for necro-ing this post so hardcore, but I came back and revisited this in an attempt to jump start my creative bones so I can finish the part of The Angel of Doubt I am hung up on at the moment. So here, 2 years later, is everyones unanswered prompts.

Gag Halfrunt
1.Never really had to work again after taking on Zaphod Beeblebrox as a client, though it would ultimately be a decision that he would regret.

2.Provided one the most valuable pieces of information to the Vogons while they designed the Angels, as a psychiatrist, he was able to accurately convey exactly what most life forms found positively terrifying.

3.Disappeared during ôThe Incident with a Loud, Space-Time Rift Making Bangö and is assumed to be in an alternate universe.

Humma Kavula
1.Again made a run for President in Zaphod's absence and technically won. But much to his dismay, when Zaphod returned, he was stripped of his power and sent packing.

2.Humma became so enraged at Zaphod's usurpation that he attempted to kill the President while he was vacationing on the famed Hydro-Plains of Desertia IV by planting a bomb on his Hyperfoil. To further add to his unending rage, Zaphod barely batted an eyelid at the fact that he dodged death and Humma's bomb after stopping to refuel the bar cart.

3.Eventually retreated to a small asteroid in a long forgotten part of space and lived out the rest of his life. Shortly before his death, he encountered Shinji Ikari on his quest to find Deep Thought. Upon hearing of Earth's situation, he passed on his final work; an unfinished bomb he had produced based on old writings in the archives of Viltvole VI.

Hotblack Desiato
1.Chose to spend one year living on Earth not for tax reasons, but to escape from a stagnant creative process in his usual stomping grounds.

2.Tried unsuccessfully to get a pair of Evangelions from NERV to use in concert.

3.While on Earth, he wrote the smash hit Rock Opera The Ballad of Ikari: Cowardice to Something Not Quite.

Hactar
1.Wanted very badly to build another Supernova Bomb, but never did get the chance, Hactar was commandeered by the Vogons as the basis for their Angel producing capacity.

2.Created the Lance of Longinus as a main component of a newly redesigned supernova bomb, but never got to produce the rest of the set due to a rather nasty hole in the fabric of the universe that tragically wiped out that entire section of the universe.

3.The last thing that Hactar developed before being ripped out of existence was a modified version of Evangelion Unit-01 based on data gathered from defeated Angels. These plans would surface later as Unit-01 MkII Custom ôHö The intention was for this perfected model to be used the final word in Third Impact, but it was not constructed until long after ôThe Incident with a Loud, Space-Time Rift Making Bangö

bissek said:
1.Unfortunately for Agrajag, he would not be totally free of Arthur Dent, despite having been to Stavro Mueller Beta. He was immediately reincarnated at The Big-Bang Burger Bar as a fly, only to be swatted by Random Dent.

2.Continuing in his tradition of being killed by the Dent family, Agrajag again came back to life, this time as a copy of the 3rd Angel Sachiel, which was quite thoroughly killed by Unit-02.

3.Finally came back as a dominant soul and personality in a crew member in the Presidential fleet, after being accidentally fused with a skin graft.
