Tired of trying to find good AMV's but only finding one or two half-rate ones after hours of searching? Tired of looking forever to find a good AMV site only to find that it's a pay site? Well look no more for this will be the place for people to post the most awesome AMV's they have found on their travels about the net or even post their own original ones! So if you see a particularly good AMV and feel the need to share it than just post the link here so that others may watch and enjoy.

The correct format for posting your link should be a brief description of the video along with the name of the song and band and the anime (or animes) that it uses scenes from.

To start us off I'll post up this particularly awesome video I found that is one of the best NarutoXSakura videos I've seen so far, the video is titled "Naruto's Reason". The song is "The Reason" by Hoobastank. So watch and enjoy, trust me, it's good for you ;) .

Mmm... that's quite a nice video, makes me a tad more attracted towards Naruto/Sakura pairings.

Don't know if it technically counts as an AMV, but I find it amusing.

"Ninja of the Night" by Sifl and Olly(?). It's parody of the two pointing out various... ninja-ish things they could do now that they're ninja, such as stealing underwear and cars.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3099655833897493954

Sadly, the bitrate quality seems to be kinda low on this one.

seen it before and it is a good one
still something for people to bear in mind is that not all of us are lucky enough to have broadband :( so some size indication would be an extremely helpful guide for us in deciding whether to click on that link on not

Yeah, if you look in the topic "Freaky Shit" in Hawk's Rants you'll find a link to that video there as well, so I've already seen that one.

That's a good idea actually, I forgot that because it had slipped my mind that there were still some poor souls out there that did not have a high speed connection like I do, sorry about that.

So excercising my godly might (I wish) as creator of this thread I now hereby decree that there should be some indication as to the size and/or bandwidth of said AMV. So it is said, so it be done.

Here's one for you guys, good Cardcaptor Sakura video to a song called "Open Your Eyes" not sure what band does it but it is a good video. It's about the same size as the last one I posted so make of that what you will. I haven't actually even seen CCS but I know the story so that should be enough, not quite as good as the Naruto video but still good.

Two more AMV. These are probably the best I've seen, ever. This is what happens when a professional does MAD videos...

Presence (Fate/Stay Night)

Tells the tale of Heavens' Feel.

LiSTEn To TiME AgAin (Saikano)

Seems to give off a very well orientated feel of Saikano (which, I've never seen, so I can only assume...).

Just thought I would add an AMV I liked. I believe the bitrate is a bit lower than the other AMV's on this thread. It's also about 3 and half minutes long.

Existence for... (Fate/Stay Night)

Another MAD AMV, but meh I liked it quite a bit. I'm a fan of Saber and Shirou. What else is can I say?

I forgot about this thread. Well, brace yourselves for a link-flood! ^_^
note: I recommend downloading the higher-quality version of each of these from animemusicvideos.org , as YouTube does cut down the video quality. It's a bit noticeable in AMVs that use lots of timing and effects.

The guys who gave us the "Ninja of the Night" AMV also made a prequel.
Ninja of the Night - The Test

Most likely the single best Naruto AMV ever, and a shoo-in for Best Use of Timing Synch Effects.
Toushi

Another Naruto bit. This one's a movie-trailer parody.
The Narutrix

Switching gears a bit, here's a really twisted Card Captor Sakura vid.
Sunshine, Lollipops, and rrrRRRrrr!

Sweet NGE vid, set to the tune of a song by Rammstein.
Engel

Another great NGE AMV, this one to a song by Savatage.
This Isn't What We Meant

One of two Love Hina AMVs I'll post, this one's set to a Weird Al tune.
Your Hinascope

And here's number two, with a song by (of all people) Denis Leary.
Life's Gonna Suck

Two from Azumanga Daioh, with various audio.*
Azumanga DIE-OH!
Azumanga DIE-OH! Part 2: Spawn of Azumanga DIE-OH!

The rest are AMVs with many anime used in the video.

Fear the cute ones!
The Chibi Things (That Kill)

This one really needs to be seen in its original screen resolution.
Stop The Rock?

I think most of the people on this board are "old-school" enough to get the references in this one.
Right Now (Someone Is Reading This Title)

*footnote: If you haven't seen Azumanga Daioh, and you can enjoy "slice of life" anime, then watch Azumanga Daioh.
If you can't be bothered, then this video can teach you three things:
1) Where my avatar came from, and why I use this title with it.
2) Never judge a book by its cover. Every time the glasses-wearing girl (Yomi) smacks the black-haired girl (Tomo), Tomo really did deserve it.
3) Sakaki (the tall, long-black-haired babe) loves cats, but cats only seem to love to bite her.

Edit: There's another favorite of mine, called "A Very Bootyful Christmas" (note: the AMV has nothing to do with Christmas!), that has too much adult material to be worksafe. Find it on animemusicvideos.org, under the author "RollTheStampede", a.k.a. Shining Finger Studios.
Also, check out AMV Hell, AMV Hell 2: Son of AMV Hell, and AMV Hell 3: The Motion Picture. (the third is about an hour or so long!) There's also an AMV Hell 0, which is NOT worksafe - it focuses on either ecchi lyrics in songs, hentai video clips, and in many cases both at once.

Had to pimp this site, awesome collection of mostly Teen Titans vids all made by one person, which is amazing considering there is fifty some vids, all pairings and themes are present so there's something for everybody.

Citrus02Honey's AMV's

Oh, and happy 2,400th post to me! Hahaha *laughs at his own massive post-count-ness*

Here are several for you guys. Of course, the high-quality ones can be found for all of them on the www.animemusicvideos.org site. Enjoy.

Probably my all-time favorite AMV because it kicks so much ass:
Shounen Bushidou - Spirit Never Dies

These two are unbelievably funny:
I Wish I Was A Lesbian!
Doujin Addiction (aka Manga Maniac)

This one is also really humorous:
Senshi on Springer

Also, since the first one was a Naruto/Sakura one, I thought you guys might enjoy this one. I saw its debut at Anime North and liked it.
Sakura's Heroes

Best,
~JohnnyG

Heh, ran across these Azumanga Daioh ones tonight from a author's RSS feed. Thought them hilarious, though not my normal type of AMV.

AD 'Azuquerque Part 1' by Chibidoodles
- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwFZPqG2Ey4

AD 'Azuquerque Part 2' by Chibidoodles
- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=os76xRrtqEU

AD 'Azuquerque Part 3' by Chibidoodles
- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Wo7N9Gsmpk

Probably the best Azumanga Daioh AMV's since I first listened to the below one several months ago:

Alterbridge.

I used to have an AMV that had scenes from Gundam: 08th MS Team set to 10th Man Down by Nightwish, but it got deleted when my computer crashed. I still have a few others, though I can't UPload them on 56k. Y'all will have to look them up yourselves.

Barenaked Ladies' One Week, set to Slayers...

Love Hina scenes set to Cruel Angel's Thesis...

Guns & Roses' I Used To Love Her set to Evangelion...

I Think I'm A Clone Now by Weird Al, also set to Evangelion...

And finally Weird Al's Pretty Fly for a Rabbi set to Tenchi Muyo.

I have one other, though it's not really an AMV - it's Asuka's battle against the... was it the 14th Angel that kicked her ass and decapitated her Eva? I can't remember, but it's that scene... set to the audio from the battle with the Black Knight in Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail. Hilarious.

Well, I keep links to all the AMV's I have (the ones that I know still have valid links at least), and I have some of those, so could you be referring to the following:

Here is one recent Neon Genesis AMV (9/06/2006) I found through the AMV RSS Feed.

NGE 'AsukaxShinji' by drybananna
- [Direct] http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/me...fo.php?v=127978

I normally do not go for still image AMVs like the above, but the images (Asuka centric), with the song ('Bad boy' by Cascada), kept reminding me of the below recently finished crossover story:

R-NGE 'The Wild Horse Thesis' by Calamity-Queen of Cordite - [Status=Complete]
- [Direct] http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3107822/1/
- [Author1] http://www.fanfiction.net/u/780045/

Another decent AMV with a song by the same music artist that recently caught my attention was:

KNM 'Kannaduki no Miko Chikane_Himeko' by Sango Lover

Hmm, pretty good synching and word-to-image matching but it still lacks that flair that makes me really like a video, good, but still needs polishing.

Here's an Eva AMV done to Styx's Come Sail Away. They matched up the song with the scenes perfectly. Its one of the best I've seen.

Evangelion Come Sail Away
Well, thought it pretty good, even though it is from YouTube. Only way I get anything to ever play good without pauses or frame drops from them is to download it and save it locally and play it that way. Works much better, though defeats the purpose of streaming video.

I find that a lot of the AMVs are better found someplace other than youtube. The ones I list are on a site that requires DIVX to play them from the website, but they can also be downloaded and played on another application.

Better video quality, and the sound usually stays on track.

Anime: Naruto
Title: Whisper of the beast
Song: The 5th of march / 5. mõrz
Band: Megaherz

Its on youtube (several times).
I usually get them on www.animemusicvideos.org
Thats still the easiest way I guess.

The reason for no link is that I am at home right now (at my parents) and we only have ISDN due to the boneheads of Telekom (no DSL available in the region).
