Got someone in mind? Good.

That character is secretly <a href='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prototype_%28video_game%29' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Alex Mercer</a>, in either his antiheroic Prototype 1 or his villainous Prototype 2 incarnations. How he got there is irrelevant, so don't worry about that part. At some point in the normal plot of your selected series, this fact is suddenly revealed to the cast at large.

Who did you pick, how was Mercer exposed, and what happens afterwards? (In before every single post ends with "And then he eats everyone.")

The Narutoverse. Madara Uchiha. The Akatsuki are all Evolved. Mercer is in his Prototype 2 full villain persona. Naruto nailed him with a giant rasengan, nearly obliterating him. Of course, some animal attempts to feed on his remains and he regenerates, with some ninja having witnessed it and escaping to report back.

The result is Mercer and his Evolved beginning their plan to spread the infection to each and every village so that, when a way is found back to the Prototype universe, the forces of an entire world will be at his back, ready to take over. The ultimate goal being to spread Blacklight to every part of the Multiverse.
