IF5 *should* be ready before IF6 starts.

Lastly, I've asked Rooster to join up as a semi-permanent judge. Anyone else want a similar job? Keep in mind that taking the position means that you cannot join the running to be an Iron Ficcer.

People, here's the thing.

People are blaming Wata for not having scores put up for the last three contests, since Iron Fic 4.

Wata is blaming his judges for not giving him the scores.

I really don't care how this gets resolved. Judges, for the sake of all of those who entered the contest, please send your scores to Wata. Wata, for the last time, type everything up in a word processor first, since this is apparently the second time that your isp has failed you.

People aren't going to want to participate if we don't get recognition for our work.

Seems it's already started; participation is down.

I will take the blame for three and four; I didn't come down on my judges to get everything together until just recently, and then I procrastinated.

But again, I never got any interest from people in judging IF5. I had to beg to get ANYONE to agree, and even now I haven't gotten any indications from all but one of the judges that progress is being made.

And the hint I got was a negative--as in, NO ONE has graded IF5.

So. -_-

EDIT: Oh and for what it's worth, I had IF4 ready to go TWICE. Both times my ISP CUT MY CONNECTION WITHOUT WARNING. :flameon:

People lose interest because there is no visible recognition for their work. You can't get people or judges to participate because people aren't interested. Tis a vicious cycle. Just buck down and get Iron Fics 4 through 5 up.

Iron Fic 4 is your problem, since you somehow lost the scores or whatever. Why have you not talked to the judges about getting them back?

Iron Fic 5 is a judge problem. Name all the judges and I promise you, people will start bugging them for the scores.

Myself, I refuse to score IF6 until all this stuff gets taken care of. It should never have gone this far in the first place.
