The Journal of a Masked Vigilante

With Watchmen coming out, thought I'd put this little idea out there.

The events of Watchmen happened about 20 years ago. In the aftermath of the New York Incident, the Keene Act was immediately repealed, and the Justice League, forced to partially disband after the Act was passed, was immediately reformed, though, as before, they were unable to secure the membership of Dr, Manhatten, who disappeared immediately after the attack. Unable to determine what the being that attacked actually, the nations of the world, with the support of the Justice League, have elected Ozymandias as the Chairman of the New United Nations. Meanwhile, a handful of other things have happened.

Among the more significant things, is the passing of Keene Act Amendment 2. This effectively produced a neutral zone of the Keene Act within Gotham City, which was caused by the GCPD Being the only major metropolitan police force to support the masked vigilantes, and due to the Batman's unique knowledge of the villians, questions about Dr. Manhatten's powers, and an unwillingness to risk the Comedian, it was decided to allow Batman and Robin to continue. Not that it was said as such; it was a place for Justice League members to step foot in America while still costumed. Incidentily, Oliver Queen bought a entire floor of penthouses within the city, often secluding himself for weeks on end while he devised new business strategies, or determined which charity was more worthy to get money.

At any rate, Shortly after President Redford's fourth term wound down, it was determined that the most experienced superheros would be put full force into the search for the being that attacked Earth. In order to combat the rising number of supervillains, two groups of younger heros, and heroines, would be established to deal with problems within America. One, referred to as Team East, was based in a small Maryland town named Steel City. The other would be put near the now bustling metropolis of Jump City. These groups decided to call themselves the Titans, and due to the young age of their members, were dubbed the Teen Titans at their christening.

The California branch was originally composed of Robin and Cyborg. They were reinforced with Beast Boy shortly before their move (to a large, T-shaped building generously provided by the Wayne Foundation) as he had had a falling out with members of the Doom Patrol, and provided another relatively experienced hero to the roster. The induction of Starfire was a lucky accident, as she was able to escape from slavery by alien captors, though she was, unfortunately, unable to give insight as to what, exactly, attacked NYC. Raven also joined, though it was at the suggestion of the Green Lantern, who asked that she be kept safe. Though not Earth-born, she, too, was unable to help the authorities in their search for the Hostile Extra-Terrestrial.

For several months, things went well, with the only problem being the elusiveness of the mercenary Deathstroke, who was able to evade the Titans multiple times. Then, one day while on patrol, Beast Boy was given a small book. On it was written "Journal". Inside, the name "Walter Kovacs" had been crossed out, and underneath was the name "Rorschach". The name of the most famous vigilante during the Keene era, and his exploits. In secret, Beast Boy read. The journal had one final entry, one that detailed Ozymandias's plan, and that Kovacs felt he had to stop it. Over the next three months, the other members of the Titans were convinced of the sincerity of the Journal, and the group plotted to show the world the truth behind Ozymandias.

Unfortunately, however, an inside agent had gotten word of the Titan's plans, and a dangerous pact was formed, with the Titans East working under Brother Blood, began a secret war against their West Coast counterparts.

What is the opinion of the forum on this?

You think they'd learn that you should never trust anyone named Ozymandias.

And on the pedestal these words appear:
"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"

"Your motives are not condemned. Your actions, however, are."

Sounds like a good idea.

Okay, earlier post was a little harsh. I apologize for that, as I do appreciate the support. I was not feeling well, so my temper was at a shortened state. However, I really would like some more information on what could be improved on in this story. Thank you in advance.

Mention, or get, Night Owl and Silk Specter to join the JL.

The way I see it, they're too independent to deal with the JL on a permanent basis, though they are not too stubborn to accept help. Just my two cents, though.
