"You destroyed Metallia with the Silver Imperium Crystal?" asked Luna. "That's amazing Usagi. Queen Serenity always said that you had great potential, but even she couldn't manage to do that."

Usagi looked embarassed. "I'm sure that she could have, really."

"No," Luna insisted. "She really couldn't. That's why she had to seal the Negaverse away: no matter what she did to Beryl, she couldn't directly affect Metallia. How did you do it."

"Uh..." Usagi hesitated and then laughed nervously. "I'm not really sure..."

Luna sighed. Same old Usagi.

"Uh, Luna."

"Yes Usagi?"

"The crystal looks awfully fragile. Is it okay for me to carry it about everywhere? You know how clumsy I can be sometimes."

"That's a very responsible question, Usagi, but you don't need to worry. The Silver Imperium Crystal is almost indestructable."

"So it wouldn't matter if someone, say, put it in their sock and then smacked someone else over the head with. Two or three times."

"USAGI! That's the Silver Imperium Crystal! You can't do that."

Usagi winced, "I'm just saying, Luna. You know what my brother's like."

"Oh." Luna frowned. "Well it wouldn't damage the crystal, but someone could be seriously hurt if they were hit like that. Please don't let your brother do that."

"Okay Luna."

Luna watched Usagi suspiciously for the next few days and then forgot about it. She never did work out how Usagi defeated Metallia with the Silver Imperium Crystal, even after Usagi used it to defeat Wiseman and Pharaoh 90.

Usagi was just glad that none of the other scouts had been around to see her clouting bad guys on the head with the Silver Imperium Crystal inside her sock. Luna would never have shut up about it.

... Given how over-the-top the series is, that probably would be the most effective method. Then again, trying to bring in real life and such usually ends up being a failure, save for crack fics like this.

I dont get that reference, care to enlighten me?

About the fic itself though. It was funny and the best (worst?) thing is that i can actually se Usagi do that.

The reference, or at least one likely reference, is the Diskworld novels, in which Rincewind has faced down a few cosmic horrors with half a brick in a sock.

Holy crap, so all this time Princess Serenity's father was Rincewind? Seems like genetics played out even after reincarnation. Now all she needs is her own Luggage and Death constantly being disappointed that she simply isn't dying when she's supposed to :snigger:

I'm behind on my Hellblazer canon (cause I'm perpetually broke and too lazy to search for internet sources of the comic) but John Constantine is several magnitudes of awesome above anything that can be associated with Sailor Moon IMO; Usagi and the other Senshi only wish they had access to someone of his utter Win. That being said, a SM fic with Usagi possesssing many if not all of the characteristics of John Constantine would be awesome. I'd demand someone write it if it weren't for the fact that I actually have no authority. And can't write worth shit for that matter.

There is a fic that might be close enough. It's unfinished, I can't remember the name, and I can't find it right now, but here's the breakdown to see if it jars anyone else's memory:

Usagi was in a car crash years before the start of the series. She is left scarred and half-crippled. She ends up an orphan and a quasi-yakuza, running a club where wierd types tend to hang out. This includes some of the Sailor Moon villans, a cameo by Ranma characters, and eventually a Blue Seed crossover.

The other four inners have teamed up and been operating for a while, but without Usagi they haven't managed to beat Beryl. Usagi, who has a different name, meets Ami and fixates on her as a girl who will be going places and might be Usagi's ticket out of the slums.

There is also Sailor Hellblazer.

The fic is Sukeban (or is it Sukebe?) Senshi by allyn yonge. Author's website has entered oblivion but yeah, the story had a pretty creative premise to it.

And Sailor Hellblazer is a fun mix of seriousness, pure crack and WTF?!?. :D

Thank you, it was "Sukeban Senshi". Your hint was what I needed to find it. The index page for the fic is broken, but I found chapter 1 and chapter 2. Chapter 2 has a link to chapter 3 and the rest of the fic can be found that way.

You realize that Saturn would have been in there with her when she bludgeoned Pharaoh 90 to death, right?

We now know how the much feared Sailor Saturn died in that battle; fatal hilarity, she died laughing!
