It's not really resurrected actually. Every now and then over the years, people post something along the lines of checking for activity and such, though some people do occasionally check it, if nothing else, to point them elsewhere.
The reason it had died in the first place was because delphi changed things so basic accounts really blew chunks, and worst of all, you had to pay a subscription to even be a moderator or owner of a forum.
At first, Kwok and myself were willing to pay the subscription to moderate, but as they kept making basic account worse and worse, Sol offered to restart forum in that beehive style that's similar to delphi and Kwok gave approval for that, as I'd also expressed a desire to just quit on moderating, and I don't recall if Taro (the other active board moderator) was willing to pay subscription fee.
Delphi forums essentially became Anifics forums, with Sol/Taro/Kwok becoming new mods, until eventually Kwok just passed all responsibility to Sol who got new mods of his own (Rin and Iddy I know were mods, dunno who the eventual roster settled into).
Anifics managed to keep most of the community early on, but then went through some troubled times due to forums needing to be restarted or moved, and along the way kept losing more and more of the community from delphi, until eventually it just went down period.
Some of the community from delphi/anifics also splintered into Soulriders (which is more of a gaming forum although it did try to have a fanfic section at first before giving it up as not enough writers migrated to SR), a board that Dracos started a few months before Delphi officially died.
What little remained eventually found it's way to TFF after Hawk started this forum and was joined by a new generation of people too.
Anifics -is- trying to revive, as pointed out by Sol, but delphi is NOT. Delphi technically could revive, I suppose, but it would be entirely unmoderated (same situation as TFF is currently going through), and be through dedication of writers posting there and trying to spark activity.
But...given that TFF already serves as an unmoderated board, Sol is restarting anifics as a moderated board, and there's also that one board by Ellf that's lightly moderated....well, why -would- you want to revive Delphi?
