well, considering I've only got two evolution lines left to evolve and a few other random 'mons to grab before I can finally complete my Unova pokedex, I'm not too worried. After that, I consider Pokesav fair game to catch 'em all.

Although what really pissed me off this gen is that only a handful of Pokemon finish fully evolving under the level of 40.
Really? I didn't notice. Only one that I use which evolved so late are metagross and hydreigon, but that's to be expected.
taking a look at this, the following Pokemon make their final evolutions under Level 40

<a href='http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_Pok%C3%A9mon_that_evolve_at_or_above_a_certain_level' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Lis...a_certain_level</a>

Patrat (Level 20)
Purrloin (Level 20)
Roggenrola (Level 25 - trade)
Timburr (Level 25 - trade)
Whirlipede (Level 30)
Zorua (Level 30)
Drillbur (Level 31)
Herdier (Level 32)
Tranquill (Level 32)
Dwebble (Level 34)
Yamask (Level 34)
Deerling (Level 34)
Darumaka (Level 35)
Ducklett (Level 35)
Servine (Level 36)
Pignite (Level 36)
Dewott (Level 36)
Palpitoad (Level 36)
Trubbish (Level 36)
Joltik (Level 36)
Tirtouga (Level 37)
Archen (Level 37)
Cubchoo (Level 37)
Scraggy (Level 39)
Foongus (Level 39)

Excluding Zorua, that's 57 Pokemon who's final evolution is under Level 40. With 14 Pokemon that don't evolve in Unova at all, that's 79 Pokemon who you have to level up to at least Level 40 for a final evolution. If you scroll down to Level 40 and higher, you'll find the list thereon is dominated by Generation V. All but 4 of the Pokemon from Level 47 onwards are Gen V.

Mhm, didn't know that is was that extreme. But it should be said that the exp. system has changed as well, so maybe it compensates. I didn't really have the feeling that it took me a long time to make my pokÚmon evolve. Even getting Hydreigon only took about half an hour orso.

That's thanks to the Lucky Egg being a LOT easier to get in this game than previous games, where it was only found held by Wild Chansey.

Of course, I did some trading over the GTS for like Pokemon (Deino for a Deino) so I got another experience boost.

That and the fact that you get an exp. bonus if you're lower leveled than your opponent and the levels of the wild pokÚmon go up to 65. Those of the trainers even higher.(That'll teach me to just press yes when I'm prompted, fucking Cynthia :p)

Of course, the reverse also occurs.

That said, I'm so glad I always make sure that me starter is Female. I've traded baby Snivys for an awful lot of stuff.

True, but then you don't train in those places anymore :p

until most of your Pokemon get into the high 60s, where you're not quite strong enough to challenge the Elite Four but most other trainers are toting around weak Pokemon

Ah, not quite there yet, I'm in the low 60's so the wild pokÚmon still have higher levels than me.

Wild Pokemon still don't give off as much EXP as trainer Pokemon.

So, here's some speculation on possible Hoenn remakes for later in GenV.

I'm guessing the names "Magma Ruby" and "Aqua Sapphire", referencing the Hoenn villain teams, are damn near inevitable. I don't like them, but I think they are locks.

There will be move tutors to teach the final evolution of your starter the Hyper Beam equivalent move (Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, Hydro Cannon) if your starter has a high enough Happiness rating. I am guessing the move tutors will be in either Lilycove or Mossdeep, leaning toward the former.

There will be some other generation legendaries, going by previous remake features. I'd say Heatran is a lock, since a volcano is part of Hoenn's plot; chances are that Team Magma hideout from Emerald will be his location. I'd say Regigigas is probable, since the other Regis are Hoenn mons. If Regigigas is in, I'd bet on him being at the top of Mt. Ember, as a statue you can only wake up with the other three Regi in your party. For another, considering how many ocean routes are in Hoenn, I'd bet on Manaphy, and tentatively place it in the underwater part of the wrecked ship. I'm also thinking Shaymin will be in Hoenn somewhere, with the option of its Sky Forme.

When you complete the Hoenn PokÚdex, Prof. Birch will probably offer you one of the three starters from Sinnoh, I'd guess.

Thoughts?

Still fucking team horrible when you're both Nuzlocking and caught by surprise. Nearly killed my Samurott those bastards. On Cynthia, I beat her with just 2 very underleveled mons, 1 lvl36 Gigalith and My Liligant, fuck yeah Sturdy!

I honestly don't get the attraction to Nuzlocke runs.

Now if people did Set runs instead of Shift runs, that'd be interesting.

As in can't switch pokÚmon during a battle until they faint, or just not automatically being able to switch pokÚmon every time the other trainer brings out a new pokemon?

Nuzlockes usually run on Set style battling for more realism. The attraction is the challenge and trying to eliminate the fringe logic that tells your brain that there is no way that a lvl 1 mon will only faint when getting punched in the face by a lvl 100. You also adopt new stratygies for the pokemon you used to avoid and depending on if you have enough imagination to create a story for it you start to become attached to your little monsters.

After Nuzlocking Platinum I'll never look at bedoof the same way again. Also Cilan can go fuck himself with a powerdrill.

Bidoof is still one of the most retarded Pokemon I've ever seen.

'I'm dying Squirtle!'

Also, does anybody have Pokemon Black? If so, wanna trade your Vullaby? I'll give you that owl Pokemon thing or whatever it is (the White version opposite of Vullaby). I'll trade Thundurus for Tornadus and trade back again as well.

I can do the Vulaby thing, no EVs but Fucking Awesome IVs. Caps intended.

As for Tornadus, maybe in a few day. I need to wait till the weekend when I can use my sisters DS and trade it to my pokemon black so I can get Landeras.

So how do we do this thing?

Just finished my Nuzlocke of Black. To count I have now Nuzlocked Emerald, Leaf Green, Diamond, Platinum, Heart Gold, White, and Black. Now all that's left is to complete the extra content and then make the comics.

You'll have to check your Pal Pad in-game to find your friend code, and then when we connect use mine.

So I was playing as a bug-catcher on LeafGreen and finally got through Victory Road. Really can't be arsed to grind up to Elite Four levels though... (pretend Kabutops is a pre-historic Scyther)
