So I was playing as a bug-catcher on LeafGreen and finally got through Victory Road. Really can't be arsed to grind up to Elite Four levels though... (pretend Kabutops is a pre-historic Scyther)

You should really have traded for Scyther.

I'm using an emulator and haven't figured out how to trade (not for lack of trying). I tried it on FireRed once but then realised that none of the bug pokemon available could use Strength except Pinser so this time around I played on LeafGreen.

I'm also considering playing a water-pokemon only game. I'd only have a squirtle until I can buy that magikarp off the guy before Mt Moon. Or maybe a flying-pokemon only game. I like making games more interesting in this way; kinda like the nuzlocke challenge but less annoying.

If you're on an emulator, there's always hax to consider when trying to make a theme team? Scyther never show up in your game? Hax him in! Yes it's cheating, but it's justified if you're limiting yourself to bug pokemon.

I haven't done anything with my Black Version as of late. Though, I have been trading away Zoura babies for any White exclusive Pokemon.

Sadly, I've only gotten Zekrom and that cool-looking Psychic-type blob.

Anyone willing to contribute to/help the cause? I'm (currently) trying to get that White-exclusive roaming Legendary, and the counterpart to Vullaby.

Need a Male Nuzleaf that knows Dark Pulse. Can only get it dongling a ruby in gen 4 and teaching the Dark Pulse TM. I will trade either a Kyurem, Tarakion, or a Zorua pup (with Extra sensory if needed) for it.

Failing a Nuzleaf a Male Vulpix knowing Dark Pulse would do. It is only obtainable if you Dongle a LG in a gen 4 game and teach it the TM.

It kind of pisses me off that I can't breed those moves into those pokemon despite the fact they can learn the TM in the previous Gen.

that's the point where I would say to use Pokesav or what-have-you (actually I don't think AR has been updated to let you upload Black/White saves yet so you'd have to use the one program that sends stuff onto the GTS)

Given that I have my DS games on my computer, it's far easier for me to convert em'. ^_^

No$GBAtoVBA converts it to a file that Pokesav can read, then I save over the game file when I'm done making changes.

Also, I'd never have bought half the games I did if I'd not pirated them first. (Torment, Starcraft, Diablo II, Baldur's Gate I/II)

Will I ever buy another Pokemon game again(I still have FireRed)? Probably not. My interest in the franchise seems to have ended with Platinum.

Gonna do a solo Lopunny run, just so I can say I beat the Elite Four with the Pokemon equivalent of a fluffy bunny.

You'll probably need to get it close to level 100 to win. Lopunny isn't a particularly good Normal-type, and Normal is the worst STAB, since it can't do better than 1x damage on anything, all Rocks take 0.5x, all Steels take 0.5x (S/R or R/S take 0.25x) and all Ghosts are immune. Making matters worse is Lopunny doesn't have any decent abilities from what I recall, nor decent stats.

Expect problems.

Do they still have the temporary stat boost items in this game? If they do you can still win any battle with any pokemon that knows an offensive move that something isn't immune to.
