The Returners (Major GU Spoilers)

I figured that while I was here, I'd post some major spoilers about GU. Mainly, characters from the original games who returned in new bodies.

The first, and scariest is Sora. Our favorite little 3rd grade PKer has come back to be a big, scary, PKKer. Name: Haseo. Yeah, that freaked me out as well. Of course, he doesn't have any memory of being Sora at all, and the only real connection is their close tie with Skeith.

Next is Elk. If you couldn't figure out that Elk is Endrance, you need to be hit. Really hard.

Wiseman=Yata. Yes, I figured this out halfway through the first game.

This next one is only a possibility: Zelkova=Helba. They have totally different classes, and personalities. Of course, they both where all white, were originally programed to have perfect stats and infinite gold, have a custom weapon, and are both masters of Net Slum.

There we have it. Oh, and Piros = Piros and Natsume = Natsume. Duh.

Actually, some think that Natsume isn't the same as in the first .hack, for two reasons:

One, she acts and talks different, and there was rumor that her characher got hacked.

Two, and that's the real clincher - she doesn't react to Azure Kite, Azure Balmung and Azure Orca *at all*.

Wiseman and Piros not reacting is understandable, as both are privvy to some of The World's secrets, and they would know the Azure Three are AIs. But Natsume?

She probably knows the real Kite in life, and wouldn't think "Hey, is that you?"

Not to mention that Endrance doesn't seem to say anything about the character models either. Besides, it's pretty clear that it wouldn't be them, and most wouldn't give it a second thought; and she does recognize Piros.

While Piros does seem to be after Tri-Edge, it seems like he thinks it's a regular hacker. CC doesn't tell its employees what is going on a lot of the times, and that's even when those people are directly involved.

Also, Sieg = Kuhn.

Kaochin also appears as Kaochin the Chaotic PK, though she was only a minor character in //sign.

Hideyo, though a character in Roots, has a new character model in the game. Same with Seisaku.

Ninjato was Neja in R:1; both minor NPCs. Alice is Alice, Henako is Henako

I also prefer to think that Zelkova is Kite. If I imagined him as a regular player, that would probably be how he acts. Though, that's probably more unlikely than him being Helba.

Finally, there's Crimson Knight, who only showed up in the last episode of the anime. While he isn't in the GU games, it's worth mentioning him...I think.

Endrance is too busy creepily stalking Haseo to notice anything but him. You know he'd be THAT oblivious. <_<

I think that the reason Natsume acts differently is that she's developed MPD, or always had it and just hid it.

I did forget the Seig=Kuhn, though I knew that one for a while.

Oh, and Endrance... kinda scares me (not that there's anything wrong with that). Though it did crack me up when the first mission I had to go on with him also brought Saku. So, basically, it was Haseo, his Stalker, and his Stalker's Stalker.

Saku scares me more than Endrance, since 'she' is a boy pretending to be a girl and stalking a MALE.

At least Endrance makes no mystery of being a guy...
