Was waiting for what happened when Roman plugged in his scroll to happen. Was only a matter of time.

do you think Emerald is having second thoughts?

Might be but I'm more concerned about the fact that we're about to get Adam vs Blake, Ruby vs Neo, and that three characters are likely dead.

I love the direction the series is going.

The only thing I don't like is how everything is still working out so well for Cinder. Hopefully some kind of wrench gets thrown into her plans soon.

It's gotten really dark. Adam is a yandere, like Beast from Beauty and the Beast turned into an abusive asshole driven mad by his love abandoning him and can apparently cut through Aura like fucking butter. Ironwood is basically Robocop, and Cinder won. On the negatives, Roman shouldn't have died by being eaten of all things, Jaune had one job and he failed at it by not looking towards the entrance, and while I liked the reveal of Velvet's Semblance, I don't really like that she was blindsided because people were just staring at her and not the giant robot next to her, or the fact that Weiss got her power-up by saving someone she hardly knows. It should have been one of team RWBY or Neptune.

Let's be honest here, there is nothing Jaune could have done to stop Cinder and looking back when his friend/love interest starts screaming is entirely justifiable.

Also, damn Adam. Damn.

I'm totally shipping Adam/Blake now. Yandere FTW!

You have to remember that there was a bit of a time skip between Volumes 2 and 3. So it's not a long stretch to say that team RWBY and CFVY hit it off well offscreen.

Also, regardless of how well she knew her I don't see why it matters that she got the power up from saving Velvet. Like, I know that you mean it would've been more symbolic or poignant or something, but it seemed like a good of a time as any for it to happen.

And it's already been said about Jaune, but if I was in his position I would've lost focus as soon as I heard Pyrrha screaming from inside that machine too. So...yeah.

I still kinda ship Blake x Adam but I'm a free range shipper. Like Silver Quill: I an ship anything.

And dang. This was the stuff.

Minor issues
-I wished Ruby would've gotten the definite punch and win over Roman. It woulda been a neat victory that would be rendered moot with him getting eaten.
-Why are people bi$%hing about Jaune? Considering what we know of him and the lead up, you didn't expect him to look away when his friend was crying in pain? Plus I have a headcanon that if he tried to stop that arrow it would've went through him and done the deed anyway.

Now let us have a moment of silence. Next week is the season finale and its on valentine's day. As per the rule given by Fate/Zero and GoT, we must brace our feels.

Yeah, but I'd give Jaune credit for him trying. At least then maybe we'd see that Semblance kick in and Phyrra goes mano-a-mano against Cinder while both are empowered. That would have been awesome.

And Ruby.... that was disappointing. Roman kicked her ass up and down that ship. I'll credit her for Neo, but a Griffon suddenly eating him was just BS.

Ah well, now we have the adventures of Team RNJR (Ranger) to look forward to for season 4.

But Jesus this finale was brutal and dark.

Also it's been said before but I think Ozpin might be the wizard from the World of Remnant episodes.

Calling it now, the Big Bad is the Winter Maiden from the WoR episodes.

My thoughts exactly.  Since one villain took the powers of a Maiden, it stands to reason that another is the Big Bad.  Oddly, I think Ruby might be one herself.  Just might not realize it.

Well Ruby's mom was called Summer, so maybe Ruby is the Summer or Spring maiden idk.

I am sorta excited bout them going to Haven though, I wanna see more of Team ABRN

Awaiting Jaune going Nuclear if he meets Merc or Emerald.

I'm mad. Not about Pyrrha though. Her death was a natural consequence of fighting a god-moding Cinder. It's about those silver-eyes when they had next to no build up.

I honestly found Pyrrha to be a flat character anyway, so I didn't mind her fate.  But her death was more the natural consequence of not knowing how to finish an enemy when she had one dead to rights.  She could have used those gears to grind Cinder's face off, but she made them dog pile Cinder in a fashion more inclined to containment.  Hell, Pyrrha could have used all the functions of her weapon instead of just the sword.

As for the silver eye thing, it was more of a Chekov's Gun finally coming into play nearly 3 seasons after it was introduced.  We all just forgot about it with the whole Maiden thing.

Ozpin remarked on Ruby's silver eyes in the very first episode though, and considering Ozpin's heavy knowledge of lore and legend, it's more of a chekov's gun as max said.

Pyrrha was doomed the minute she started that fight. The way Cinder fought heavily hints she was mostly humoring her and could have finished her at any point she so desired.

Next-to-no build up. A single reference in the beginning for something that major, no signs of her eyes glowing during a dire situation, like half the times Roman was kicking her ass up and down the ship, is very poor foreshadowing for something that stops Cinder and the Grim Dragon from moving onto Vale after Beacon. It's a huge thing, not just something out of the blue to take down one giant robot, and changed the flow of a hopeless battle (too late to save Pyrrha, but so be it) to a pyrrhic victory.

Heh...a Pyrrhic Victory...

But yeah, it could have been foreshadowed better, but it would've still happened regardless so I don't really see the point of complaining about it. And we all already knew that Ruby was special in some way, whether she was a Maiden or not.

Also, Ruby has never been under this much emotional stress in her life. Watching two of her friends get killed because she's too late to stop it from happening is pretty traumatizing. And since that Pyrrha's death seemed to be the trigger for it, then it's easy to see why we didn't see anything about it before.
