Simply put, a collection of random spur-of-the-moment ideas that came to me in the past half hour.

First, what if the Ginzuishou was actually something else? One such change was made in my fic 'The Zodiac War', if you recall. Here's a few candidates for replacing the Ginzuishou:

-The Mirari from Magic: the Gathering
-The Lament Configuration
-The Necronomicon

More ideas and candidates later, but feel free to add to this...

Usagi was in fact the widowed Queen Serenity and Beryl was the Moon Princess. Spurred on by politics and old fashioned jealousy they were fighting over who got to marry Endymion, when QS bitch-slapped Beryl and set-up the current scenario with the amnesiac Moon Cat Advisors so she wouldn't have to hear them complain.

You're all fooling yourself if you believe that an absolute monarchy will somehow end up being a utopian society of some sort. And what about terms of office? Don't tell me that we're going to be serving for life here. Hey, and another thing--do any of us even have any experience in governmental affairs? We're the least qualified out of anyone to lead a constitutional monarchy."

Talk about a dressing down.

The funny hing is, all those points are technically true, especially the one about being qualified. Usagi is NOT ruler material. Simple as that. She tends to not think clearly, and let feelings get in the way of the, shall we call it, 'grand scheme of things'.

Out of all the Senshi, the one best qualified to run an empire is Setsuna. She's a planner, she can be cold and rational when needed, and she doesn't let silly concepts like love and peace get in the way if things need to be done.

Which, incidentally, would be an interesting twist - if Setsuna and usagi switched places.

Granted, with Usagi anywhere near the Gates of Time, I estimate 0.02 seconds elapsing before the fabric of time and spaces unravels aftershe trips and pushes the wrong button by accident, so to speak...

I'd like to see a fic where Usagi gets booted out as queen after her latest royal decree.

The people were fine with the ones about "Ice Cream is the official dessert of Crystal Tokyo" and "Mamo-chan and I get free entrance to the movies and other places when we go out on a date" and many other such decrees, but that LAST decree just has people hopping mad!

Oh, and SMWhat: Not -quite- what you want, but something around that degree.

I can recall two stories that sort of go this route with Ami.

I find it interesting to note that if they didn't have Ami, they'd pretty much be screwed on several occasions.

Never neglect the nerd of the team.

It'd be funny if Ami realized this, and even though it's OOC for her, use it to her advantage. In a battle of wits with Usagi, she'd end up owning everything :snigger:

Come to think of it, Ami IS probably the reason that CT didn't fall flat on its ass in two seconds.

Hey, someone could write a one-shot about that, showing Ami in CT manipulating the queen into doing whatever she said as far as running the world/city went. Sort of an interesting sly piece.

I remember a very nice Sailor Moon fanfic where Jadeite took away Ami when Ami was first revealed to be Sailor Mercury and she was brainwashed. It was a very nice fic since things weren't the best for the senshi with Mercury on the other side.

I'll hunt for that fic since I remember diddly squat about the title or author, it's one I'd like to reread.

EDIT: Woo. After a long and ardeous search, helped by relentless obsessiveness, I have found the location of the fic (at least where I originally read it): What Evil Lurks, by Greg Taylor.

Has all 16 chapters and author notes in one file, although you can google it (since you people get the title and author) and you should be able to find a page with the 16 chapters separate if you prefer it like that.

Hmm....

A Gundam/SM cross sounds like it could have potential, however I would not go for a Gundam Wing fic as there's too much potential for cop-out match ups and the pilots are all as camp as a row of tents.

But assuming that one was to choose the UC timeline, what side are the Senshi on?

How do they feel about Newtypes? Are they considered Newtypes with their Senshi abilities?

How do they feel about Operation British?

Can the Senshi (in)famous healing abilities help them against a beam sabre?

How long before Minako and Makoto start drooling over Char?

I forgot to plead against SM/Wing crossovers, shame on me. I was enivisioning the Senshi split over the Coordinator issue. I suppose you could consider them to be Newtypes, although I've always thought that a Newtype simply had better reflexes and perception than an Oldtype.

Eh, the Senshi have technically more power than anyone in the Claymore Universe. Or at least, more MAGICAL power.

On the other hand, given how ungodly inhuman the Awakened can be (hello there, I survive when reduced to a HEAD), and how even the weakest Awakened I've seen (Daf) can crush granite into a fine powder... unless they start taking them very seriously very fast, they'll get their ass kicked.

If the Senshi ended up in the Code Geass universe, I can already hear Zero cackling in joy. The senshi would simply eat up the shit he sprouts, and I think he can logically convince Ami of his choices. The outer would simply LOVE him with his 'no quarter needed' mentality, and he would likely see Hotaru as someone to protect, like Nunnally. And quite frankly, I can see Setsuna letting him run amok and conquering earth, only to off him when it's time to declare Crystal Tokyo.

Edit ; and on what to replace the Crystal here it is, a Dofus, crystalized dragon egg of great power.

Having Caim *ANY*where even marginally peaceful is a recipe for disaster. The guy is like bad luck on legs - the shit would hit the fan at really high speeds seconds after he shows up...

But would this combine with the ineptness of the villains from the series? I can see Caim letting it go for a while, watching them do their best to get rid of it, only to decide that it's far enough, drop in, cut it in half, and then walk off like nothing happened.

And come to think of it, Arioch may or may not last long. Dunno how her spirits would fare against the outers when she tried to go after Hotaru for a snack.

Arioch is a whole lot faster than people give her credit, and can take some pretty brutal abuse.

And frankly, in a close-range fight, both Caim and Arioch would shred the Senshi like wet paper. They both carry weapons that are enchanted with heavy duty magic that lets them cut through steel and stone like it was warm butter.

And the Senshi proved time and again that their fuku's protect them against PHYSICAL abuse, but magical attacks can still severely hurt or even kill them. Given what Caim was up against (essentially a demigod, you could say), I find it very hard to think he or anyone else from Drakengard would have trouble maiming the Senshi, especially given how they are a lot faster.

As far as Arioch... I dunno how she'd do if they all ganged up on her. I doubt Caim would show her any sympathy, after that first attempt at eating him and all, y'know, unless she was really vital to killing whatever it was he wanted to kill today. But even if they did take her down, I doubt there'd be many left to celebrate.
