Here's an idea that has recently been in mind. I don't know if someone else has already posted a similar idea here (and if so then I profusely apologize in advance), but here it is anyway:

What if, through some means, the Moon Kingdom was able to beat back Metalia's assault? Say, for example, that there was some sort of early warning that allowed the Silver Millenium's forces to prevent Metalia from brainwashing the Earth's population (or somesuch, at any rate). Better still, the leaders all managed to survive (perhaps some suffer grievous wounds but still manage to recover). In any case, how would the course of history shift? How would characters develop as a result of all the mayhem? How would the Outer Sailors react to the major threat having come from within, as well as the lack of a need to call upon Sailor Saturn's ruinous powers? I think that there's a lot of other good questions that could very well stand to be answered, if the author knows what they're doing.

So what do you think?
I think this is fairly interesting but it would take some major world building. What challenges are you going to set against the Silver Millennium. Also, how are would you deal with Nehellenia's curse that the Moon Kingdom would fall and Serenity never inherit the throne?

If we're going to talk Silver Millenium, I would just adore the existence of a planet Vulcan which was destroyed during the war against Beryl/Metaria and forming the asteroid belt today.

I have been thinking about story ideas about Hotaru. Mainly what if she was part of the original team from season 1. For some reason I could never get this straight in my head or it never meshed well comparing her to the other sailor soldiers.

the most interesting Idea I had was what if Hotaru was woken up first, not to her full power similar to Usagi not having her full princess power from the get go, but that she meets artimis and that they have to start gathering the sailor scouts to fight the negaverse. I guess what I am trying to say that she takes Usagi's place as leader of sorts, or at least central character. In the series her parents are not Professor Tomeo so the S arc can go smoothly, but so one else.

ANother variation of this idea is that Hotaru becomes Sailor Saturn at the same time as Sailor V and becomes her partner of sorts. All of this leading to the first season of sailor moon.

don't know how well I've explained htis

I always thought it'd be sort of funny if one or more of the Senshi decided "meh, screw destiny".

You know...

"Look, reincarnation is in no way a valid basis for a system of government. You're all fooling yourself if you believe that an absolute monarchy will somehow end up being a utopian society of some sort. And what about terms of office? Don't tell me that we're going to be serving for life here. Hey, and another thing--do any of us even have any experience in governmental affairs? We're the least qualified out of anyone to lead a constitutional monarchy."

Talk about a dressing down.

The funny hing is, all those points are technically true, especially the one about being qualified. Usagi is NOT ruler material. Simple as that. She tends to not think clearly, and let feelings get in the way of the, shall we call it, 'grand scheme of things'.

Out of all the Senshi, the one best qualified to run an empire is Setsuna. She's a planner, she can be cold and rational when needed, and she doesn't let silly concepts like love and peace get in the way if things need to be done.

Which, incidentally, would be an interesting twist - if Setsuna and usagi switched places.

Granted, with Usagi anywhere near the Gates of Time, I estimate 0.02 seconds elapsing before the fabric of time and spaces unravels aftershe trips and pushes the wrong button by accident, so to speak...
Hmmm...

I can recall two stories that sort of go this route with Ami.

One is the two arc story by PinaPoe

SM 'Waking Ami' by PinaPoe - [Status=Complete]
SM 'Love and Lament' by PinaPoe - [Status=Not Complete]
- [Author1] http://www.fanfiction.net/u/131272/

The other is:

SM 'Life's Blood' by Dro'gan NiteFlier - [Status=Complete]
- [Direct] http://www.florestica.com/drogan/lb/index.htm
- [Author1] http://www.florestica.com/drogan/index.htm

However, in enither do I recall her downright stating something like is proposed here to Usagi.
Hm, two things. One, modern democracy pretty much results in someone who won a popularity contest the show, so given the choice between that and the immortal reincarnation of someone raised form birth to rule, the reincarnation SOUNDS a LOT better.

Two, for 'Waking Ami' looking at things like a year after reading the fic, does anyone else find it odd that at the point where Garoben is supposed to be her most inhuman she's far TOO human?

There's also Red Moon, where the Sailor Senshi promote Communism instead.

Anyways...I want to see a quick oneshot where Artemis finds out that the name Artemis is usually associated with a female goddess

What if Ami went to a different school? I mean from what I understand of the way high schools work in Japan it's a bit odd for Ami, the best student in the country, to go to the same school that Usagi can get into

Not really, in the original manga Makoto was instinctively drawn to usagi's school so it isn't unusal, besides before the stars arc they were in middle school. One might say it was surprising that usagi got in with them.

Not really an idea, but I couldn't think of anywhere else to put it. Recently in my 'net wanderings I discovered a new word: Sapiosexual, and Ami came immediately to mind

Guys in Fawkes masks make her hot, especially those verily versed in the verbose virtues of the vicissitude of voluminous vocabulary vying not for vainglorious validity sought by virginal vanity, but rather a voracious votive that violently vanquishes the veneer of vacuous vermin, vacating, vexed, by vigilant vanguard of vindicated values vivified.

Bit of an idea here, or at least the start of one.

In the manga at some point after the defeat of Beryl and Metallaia (sp?) at some point Mamoru gets the souls of his former advisors (Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoicite, Kunzite) in stone form. I think they were all killed, brought back, and then died again but Mamoru is left with their souls in the form of stones.

In this idea that doesn't happen; the four are gone forever.

So Mamoru is left looking for new advisors for himself as Endymion. Instead of enlisting four, he seeks three, with the following names:
Garnet
Kyanite
Beryl (as an irony)

You'll note the use of the primary colors. I was thinking the three might be two men and one woman, with Beryl obviously the woman's identity.

I'm not altogether sure where this goes, but maybe someone can run with it and have it be a part of something.

All of the above.

So you could have a story where Ami falls for Light Yagami or L from Death Note and finds herself caught up in their war.

If memory serves Ami had an interest in Medicine so at some point she could work with Doctor Gregory House, finding herself infuriated and drawn to him at the same time. You could also have her interested in Doctor Steven Strange before his accident (if we go with the MCU version) and after the fall of the London Sanctum she and the rest of the scouts find themselves working with the sorcerers since the earth is now more vulnerable than ever (for add fun, set the Sailor Moon Manga/anime stuff before the first Iron Man film, so in this world they are the more experienced heroes.

Another option would be Edogawa Conan....or Johan Liebheart (from Monster) if you want to go dark with it.

Then there's various AI and Alien beings that could draw her eye in this scenario.

I recently had this idea for a crossover involving Sailor Moon and the 1980s-era cult classic anime series Gall Force:

Essentially, what kicked off the events of both franchises were some highly-destructive wars that occurred in the prehistoric past.

In the case of Sailor Moon, there were some highly-advanced civilizations placed all across our Solar System, watching over the Earth as its own inhabitants developed their own civilizations; these interplanetary civilizations were collectively known as the Silver Millennium. The Silver Millennium was centered around a civilization located on the Earth's Moon (the Moon Kingdom). However, despite their advanced magic and technology and their use of highly-powerful so-called "Sailor Guardians", they couldn't prevent their own destruction at the hands of the malevolent eldritch being known as Queen Metallia. Earth ended up being the only planet left that was able to support life, and even then civilization had to restart from scratch.

In the case of Gall Force, things get a little more complicated. Two races, an all-female race called the Solnoids and an amorphous shape-changing race called the Paranoids, had been at war for centuries. The first entry, Gall Force: Eternal Story, involved a Solnoid cruiser named the Star Leaf whose surviving crew were trying to reach a planet named Chaos, a newly-terraformed planet in the Ninth Star System. Said planet is actually a moon of another planet, Terra, which developed on its own without any help/interference from either race. Along the way, they found themselves involuntarily subjected to an experiment. They later learned that said experiment was a part of a conspiracy involving several factions on both sides, who had realized that extraordinarily powerful weapons being developed by both sides were threatening to turn the war into one of mutual annihilation. The only solution that would stand a chance of offering a more peaceful (and survivable) resolution was to try to create a third race, hence the experiment. However, while an offspring is successfully produced, attempts by overzealous commanders to retrieve it force the remaining crew to sabotage the terraforming system on Chaos while sending the offspring and one of their own members off to Terra, the idea being that those involved in the project wouldn't come after them if they were believed to be dead. The survivors sent to Terra ended up becoming the first humans. Meanwhile, the Solnoid and Paranoid races wound up destroying each other despite efforts to get them to see reason (as documented in the next two entries of the series, Destruction and Stardust War).

Now, blending these two together would almost certainly take some heavy modifications to each others' respective timelines of events, but hopefully the end result should be of interest.

In this version, the Star Leaf travels to the Ninth Star System as part of an exploration mission to find new worlds for the Solnoids to terraform and make into a new home world (keep in mind that, in canon, the original Solnoid home world had apparently been destroyed by the war some time before the events of Eternal Story). Instead, they end up discovering the existence of the Silver Millennium. As events unfold, the crew decide that they should ask the SM's leadership to see if they could be the "third race" buffer between the Solnoids and the Paranoids. Things get even more complicated when several Paranoid ships show up as well. So now the SM is facing the very real possibility of becoming yet another battlefield in an interstellar war that's been growing ever more destructive. Then, on to all of this, add on signs that some malevolent force is stirring...

Long story short, several entire races are about to face their darkest days ever. What they need now is one hell of a miracle. Will everything end in tragedy and utter destruction, or can a Gallant Force arise to write a new legend across the stars...?
