The USA

A Map of the USA according to the Japanese.

I'm tempted to pull out my pirated copy of RPG Maker XP and try to do something with this.

Notice the Waterfall from Nowhere in Michigan. Just not drawn in, y'know.

Hell, most of the locations aren't anywhere near reality, seems like it's a joke in the first place.

Well it is, obviously, a joke. The USA if it were a JRPG, is actually what it seems to be. I wanna go to Seattle myself, see the cat-people.

I think, nay am fairly certain (except for spelling) that the map is from Tengai Makyou: The Apocalypse IV.

See.

It's pretty damn funny, from what little I know of it.

Texas getting such a prominent position makes me ill. Dallas being specifically pointed out makes me want to go on a killing spree.

I lived in Dallas for eight years. It is a barren wasteland almost completely bereft of anything remotely approaching culture or class. Anyone who actually likes the place should be executed on sight.

What's wrong with Texas? I've never been to Dallas, personally, but I have heard comments to the effect that I'm not going to necessarily disagree with you on that point. Sure there are a lot of stupid rednecks about, but as long as you avoid them, people here are pretty nice.

Texas is just highly overrated. Dallas is as I described above, and a great deal of the rest is just empty desert. The other major cities are nothing special. Well, San Antonio and Houston are. I can't say about Austin since I've never been there.

But the state as a whole is just nowhere near as great as people say it is. If you like empty desert I suppose you'd be happy there. Can't think of much else it has to offer.

Well, that map lists just about everything that is even remotely interesting in the US of A.

The rest? Not so much. <3 Europe, where countries have a history longer than 200-odd years. And we had more interesting civil wars, too. (and, just about anything on this side of the world is better than in the states. except maybe for the language. if only the world had one single language, that would make everything so much easier)

(edit: ATTENTION: This is only in part my real opinion, and mostly irony. It's for you to figure out what is irony and what is not, although it's pretty easy to do so .p)

Austin is the liberal capital of a conservative state.

Lots of live music, restaurants, etc. Great road system, 2 massive lakes, fairly young population, and lots of tech companies. Neat place to live, if you have to live in texas.

The rest of the state isn't really a wasteland unless its a low rainfall year. Its just so much of it is undeveloped, or locked in huge ranchlands/farmland/etc, so between cities and towns is just nothing but rural land.
