The world of Endless Adventure

i don't know 'bout you guys, but i've never seen it and would like to. here are some simple rules to follow that would make it at least somewhat doable:

1: Magic works differently. i'm sorry, but in one episode Makoto was trying to do a simple chemistry experiment that a normal High-schooler could do and it blew up. the rules of magic are by and far more difficult to compensate for. A "perfectly cast" Reducto could end you up surrounded by water-balloons.

2: No Demon-God+Harry pairings please? the Demon Gods were so rare in the show that the only ones that were shown were Ifurita and Kalia. Ifurita is currently in Makoto's homeworld and Kalia tried to destroy the world as vengence for some Ancient Civilization's death and as an embodiment of their hatred for everyone else. i wouldn't mind seeing Shayla-Shayla getting some action... god knows she got shot down with Makoto... Hell, Afura gets so little attnetion it's pathetic.

3: if you must involve the original Wanderers, please do so believably? Nanami should NOT instantly fall for Harry. and no, Harry is not godly enough to turn even Fatora straight. please try to remember their characters.

4: Jinnai is a bad, bad man. he openly admits that he's the evil guy. he wants world domination and is willing (and more often than not has the opportunity) to attack and destroy anything that gets in his way to that goal. no, Parseltongue does not allow for communication witht he Bugrom. that makes so little sense i just had to mention it.

5: It'd be cool if Harry got some cool power from the transferal of dimensions. not saying it's necessary, but considering he;d probably ahve to "re-learn" all of his magic to compensate with El-Hazard, it might be nice to have something to fall back on. use your imagination. controling Ancient Tech is cool and all, but Makoto kind of has that covered. talking to the Bugrom? please god no. Fujisawa's abilities might be cool, but considering that Harry isn't addicted to booze or cigarettes it takesaway the humor-value of the situation. Seeing through Phantom Tribe illusions? Nanami has that covered, but it might be cool. kind of useless considering how few and far between the members of the phantom tribe are, but cool none the less.
who knows. maybe that was "the power he knows not" crap that J.K. royaly screwed the pooch on? just an idea.

Well, that's all for me. i'm tapped. other than that you can do as you see fit.
Note: The things posted above are merely guidlines that make sense right now in my head. well, that's pretty much all i've got. see ya'll later.

Jinnai also openly admits, in the end, that he respects both Makoto and Diva, for actually managing to stand up to him (and in Diva's case, for scaring the crap out of him at times). He may be the bad guy, but he seems to have a warped code of honor of his own. He just makes the adage 'there's no such thing as mercy in war' into his own.

point taken. Jinnai does have a SORT of honor code. he does respect Makoto, but it wouldn't stop him from trying to annihilate him at the earliest (and most opportune) moment possible. and as for Diva, i never actually meant to mention her. I have respect for her myself. personally i think that she's one of the cooler characters in El-Hazard, if only for the fact that she's effectively a humanoid insect. she has her ditzy moments, but she is scarier than hell in the right situation, and in the case of Ifurita it was only Jinnai's arrogance that allowed him to convince her to let him go through with it. the fact that it turned out in the best interests of the Bugrom only seemed to amplify her confidence in him, but she could still scare the unholy crap out of him.
but you have a point. i was simply saying that barring total memory loss Harry wouldn't likely side with Jinnai and the Bugrom... at least, not without some convincing.
