Today is my 10-year TFF anniversary

Jesus Christ, how horrifying. What am I still doing here?!

...

Anyways, yeah, 10 years. I came into what was obviously more the TFF 'silver age', probably just a little bit before Hawk shut registrations down. It's definitely been a wild ride since, and I've for sure had periods close to entire years where I've been gone (literally 2019), but I am still around! At 8,000 posts, that's 800 posts a year, or a little over 2 posts a day.

I'll still be trying to grind some activity out on this board, especially now that I'm in a lot better job that isn't soul-sucking. Stuff I'm planning on doing relatively soon are a re-read of TWGOK with potentially a fanfic for that, watching through RWBY, and of course more pony fics, so hopefully you'll see some more activity in those threads. So will my persistent posting in the games played topic, at least until I stop playing video games for a while. Another thing I'd like to do in the near-future is to start a digital games keys sharing thread, once I get all my Humble Bundle emails sorted out with what I have repeat keys of and what I don't care about playing. Potentially I may even write my original fic I've been batting around for a few years. I doubt that here's to 10 more years, but let's try to make it a few more at least!

TFFs been around for over 15 years as it is, I wouldn't be surprised if it makes it another 10.

Not like fanfiction is going anywhere any time soon.

Six and a half for me. I've never even met most of the completely crazy highly interesting people who posted in these forums.

In short, I came in late.

Well, I've already posted in the RWBY thread, so here's to hoping I can inspire some more activity there!

Fanfiction in general, no. This site, however? Definitely nowhere near as active as in its heyday. But hey, I'll keep trying!

Yeah, you joined up with nTFF!

Eh, I dunno if TFF will still be TFF itself, but I imagine there will be some version of the TFF community floating around. As long as there's fanfiction, there's gonna be nerds that want to talk about it. Maybe that won't be on a forum, maybe it'll be discord or whatever the fuck, but I doubt TFF is going anywhere.

And nTFF was created ~23 March 2013, for anyone wondering when the cutoff was.

I remember... I also remember whom asked me to join up on the former site and when I did so...

I joined in... 2006? Has it been that long?

Fifteen years here also; I joined the day after membership opened. So many laughs, so much fun. So much regret elsewhere.

Wow. Haven't seen you around for a while. Good to see you back!

Also, I just realised. If I've been posting here for 10 years, that means not only have I outlasted Hawk, but I've also been posting continuously on this forum for probably twice as long as he did!

Late to the thread, but almost 15 years for me as well. Lurked a lot from 06-08. Prominent poster 08-10. You guys got me back into writing again as I quit in '06. Sporadically posted in 2010, but it seemed like every thread I posted in died after I'd so, so left for a bit. Briefly came back in '12 and '18, missed all the fighting.

I genuinely don't even remember how I found this place. I assume through somebody's profile on FFN, but couldn't tell you beyond that.

The other (non-MLP) ideas I have in mind still are a Sailor V fic for Sailor Moon, and potentially a Persona 3 x Sailor Moon crossover if I can ever more fully mesh the details in my head.

I was looking for the NSFW version of "Nymph in Servitude" by Hawk, founder of the Original TFF, after I read all his stories on FF.Net.

I found this site by searching for a story by Daneel Rush. I wanted to read ahead of FFN, so...
I think what's disturbing is I can spell Gekyouien off-hand without it being wrong. At least, I assume that's what you were looking for, and not Digimon Tamers Forever.

It's Genkyouien. Disturbingly, it's the same for me, only actually correct. :p

Looking back, it was a guilty pleasure kind of fic, but I loved it then.

I was asked to join by one of the authors here that wanted me to review his works... that was back in August 2006... He is also still around.

Now that we're all talking about it, I wonder when I joined? Let me check the creation date on my password manager ... 2013/03March/24 - no wait, that was when nTFF was ported over. Sooo... when did I start? Ah, found another entry dated 2011/02February/17. Wow. That's just under 10 years.

DAMN. Time just flies by. Lot's of things have happened personally, but it's nice being here and reading fanfiction.

Our profile pages have our original join dates from the old TFF. I happened to be home on Christmas Leave when I signed up for TFF. Signed up 12/23/06. I remember I was an oddity in that time because I got both membership status and access to the NSFW sections in record time, both in under a day. I heard from others that it took weeks, if not months for Hawk to get around to them for the same.

lol. You know your account profile has your oTFF registration date, right? November 28th, 2010 for you it looks like. Basically a month and a half before I did.
