I'm really glad you made a comment here. I'd forgotten about this mahwa, until I saw the email notification for this thread. So, I get to the site to catch up and what do you know? I had months worth of reading to do!

The whole steal-a-name idea is interesting. I wonder if there will be more games? Or is the name stealing the only thing?

Sweetfish, I'm going to miss you! And Koon, you were just wonderful!!

Tower of God seems to be finally setting up for the confrontation between Yuri and Androssi over Baam.  Both princesses are aware of where he generally is, and seem to have taken an active interest in his progress in the game this floor presents.

It won't come down to a physical fight, though. Yuri is so far above Androssi in power rankings she could ROFL-stomp Androssi with a finger.

Besides, aren't the Jahard princesses not allowed to have physical relationships with anyone? What would be the point.

Latest chapter,

I'm not certain how stringent that requirement is. At its most basic, Zahard's power has a bit of a biological basis, in that presumably a child of a Zahard princess has some of that power as well as we see with Anak (more than she would have because her mother was a Ranker). If they were to have lesbian sex that couldn't result in a power that's less of a concern. Yuri Zahard has been revealed in SIU's author notes to cavort with Walhaiksong/Wing Tree, the organisation founded by Urek Mazino and another High Ranker friend. Again from the author notes, Wing Tree is fairly radical compared to the Ten Families in that they're searching for a way out of the Tower, but Yuri isn't forbidden from palling around with them.

At least when it comes to Baam, I wouldn't be surprised if somebody decided it'd be worthwhile trying to bring him into the family to neutralise him as a potential enemy, since he's an Irregular who could potentially kill Zahard.

Latest chapter is pretty neat.

Chapter 202

Endrossi/Androssi fanservice.

That is all.

You do approve, of course? Dat Androssi panel.

On top of that, important things also happen in the chapter. We learn more about Baam, and Wangnan makes a decision. And twins (though less enticing than Androssi's twins).

Well of course I approve! Andy could probably get a picture taken and with the rights sold to a magazine supply her team with enough money for a month

Going by that panel, SIU could probably draw porn for a living and make a fortune.  Instead of having to worry about his wrist, it'd be everyone else's.  Nobody tell him.

Chapter 204

Holy shit holy shit holy shit Androssi just one-upped Yuri and claimed Baam for herself :O

Kaiser finally comes out into the open and challenges Baam (going under the name of Viole again) to a duel, only for Androssi to kidnap him momentarily. Apparently this leaves the duel unfinished and Kaiser has to finish it, this time at a place of Team Androssi's own choosing.

Also, Xiaxia gets some good solid screen time with comedy.

WOW. That's one heck of a gambit! But .. what good is hiding Baam now? Sure, Kaiser may have challenged him, but if he doesn't fight her back, or just stay out of the ring, what's the point in kidnapping him?

PS - do we need spoiler tags for the comic in this thread? the topic makes it obvious what we're talking about...

I prefer to err on the side of caution for people who haven't caught up yet.

From what I'm reading, apparently because Kaiser challenged Baam, she has to actually complete the duel. With Androssi nabbing Baam they can choose the time and place to fight Kaiser now.

The other possibility is that that isn't actually the case, and so Kaiser is once again under the protection of the station's rules, but Kaiser needs to take out Baam before he causes any greater of a stir in the station. Imagine if she shows up at the time Androssi states, and Baam strikes first which she doesn't expect, because Baam is an Irregular and doesn't have to actually obey the rules.

I'm worried that Khun may have made a mistake by using the name 'Baam' instead of 'Viole' when they were attacked. It could be ignored as inconsequential or come back to bite them in the ass horribly later.

So, this week, Baam is finally expressing how sick of this shit happening he is.

Hopefully, this is gonna be good to see.

Let a backlog build up of four chapters, and GODDAMN! Baam is going to fuck a bitch, and he does.

Xia Xia wearing glasses is something I never knew I wanted.

Epic fight between the Arie family dude and Ran. Xiaxia and Dan both finally get to show off their stuff a little bit after having been relegated to the background for so long.

The last chapter had the guy swallow some Bang right? The white circle thing. How does that improve his abilities?

That's a pill that supercharges Ran's shinsoo for a fight with the drawback of being exhausted after. He's used it twice before I think, once in his Workshop battle against Anak and once against another one of the Ten Bosses.

It's really weird that SIU decided to take so long to reveal Lo Po Bia as being one of the Ten Families, when there were many, many occasions in the past for somebody to idly mention it. I wonder if he had perhaps left a space blank deliberately to use in the future and finally decided "Eh, Lo Po Bia with an anima family head it is".

If rankings are determined not just by pure strength but also prestige to some extent, perhaps that's why the Lo Po Bia head was never mentioned in the rankings list 1-17: a Princess candidate being disqualified at the last second tarnished his family's name (Ari Han also isn't on the rankings list up to entry 17).

That brings an interesting dynamic to the main cast, however, as Baam is intimately connected to the Koon and Ha families (friends with Koon A.A., friends with Yuri (Ha) Zahard and taught by Ha Jinseng) and has now come to blows multiple times with the Lo Po Bia family. If he beats the LPB Princesses here and tarnishes their family name and they realise Viole is Baam, I wouldn't be surprised for their family head to put a bounty on him or something.

I'm sure the names of the two LPB princesses would be more than worth Androssi's name in a trade.

Now I'm expecting a 'defeat = friendship' outcome where Kaiser accompanies Baam after this arc is over.

All aboard the Baam/Kaiser train.
I'm sceptical of this happening. According to the last chapter, Kaiser lost too much because of falling in love. Unless she's some kind of idiot, it's unlikely she'll make that mistake again. But finding a friend? That might happen. But then comes the next question - does she still retain any amount of loyalty to her family for basically ignoring her? That .. I cannot say.

On a different end-game note, let's all assume that Yuri (the princess who told Baam to get Kaiser's name) expects Baam to win. Why would she want to do that? Does she hope for Kaiser to become a princess again? Or perhaps they were long lost friends and she wants to rejoin her?

Finally, what might happen to the station itself? It's VERY unlikely that Baam will want to become the next Kaiser, so who will replace the position? Or will they somehow dismantle the system entirely?

She's already lost everything that she can lose from falling in love. I was only being half serious about the shipping, though I wouldn't mind it. Lots of common ground between those two. It works, quite well I believe.

Kaiser almost certainly has no pre-existing relationship with Yuri. She's been isolated at Name Hunt Station for quite a bit longer than Yuri has even been alive (a thousand years, and Yuri is somewhere in the neighborhood of 600 years old). It's probably unthinkable that Kaiser would ever be allowed to become a Princess again, considering that she broke the cardinal rule governing their existence.

And for the last point, the last option is the obvious one. It's a system of institutionalized slavery. Baam will of course want to destroy it.
