Tri-Forced Loops

Link awoke in his bed, in small wooden house. He ALWAYS awoke in his bed, in a small wooden house. They annoying thing was, they all looked exactly alike, and so, he couldn't tell what time period he was in. He sighed, looking at the length of his arms and legs. He was a kid again...hmm. Pale. Not the period where he gets the Wind Waker then. He got up and looked out his window. Dozens of children ran and played outside, faeries flying all around. Kokori Forest then. Link didn't care what the others said, Ichigo was the only other looper that had it as bad as him. He had so many damn time lines he could spawn in.

Suddenly, a black eagle flew in through the window, a letter in it's claws.

Link,

Not kidnapping Princess Zelda this time. She didn't come with this time. Vacationing in Termina, taking the Gerudo with me. Have fun in Hyrule, or come join me in Termina.

Sincerely,

Ganondorf

P.S. Where did you get the Fierce Deity mask again?

"Oh hell no. That mask is mine!" Link quickly began packing his tunics when a voice interrupted him.

"Hey!"

No!

"Hey! Listen!"

No no no no no. Not Navi!

Link did a 180, ran to his door, and leaped to the ground, rushing for the exit of Kokori.

"The Great Deku Tree said that no-"

Link bowled over Mido, and out into Hyrule.

"First things first. Gotta go find a sword and shield. Next, get the Ocarina of Time so I can stop that piece of shit from taking my mask!"

Its one of those things that, when they aren't trying to kill each other, or take over the world...

You just learn to let go and have fun.

But the idea of Ganondorf going to Terima to try and get the Fierce Diety Mask is highly amusing. Espeically with a pissed off Link trying to beat him to it.

Ah yes, the old 'Go-Karting with Bowser' trope.

"For me, the interesting relationship is the one between Mario and Bowser; I mean on some days they fight to the death in fiery climactic showdowns, while on other days they go go-karting together, play tennis, even team up in some of the RPGs. Sure, he kidnaps the Princess a whole bunch, but no one seems to begrudge him for that anymore, it's just what he does. It's like begrudging a dog for licking its own balls." - Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw, Zero Punctuation

"Blah blah blah, fairy child, ray of light, yada yada."

"Got it, princess. You can come out, Impa."

"Oh, and Link?"

"Yeah?"

"I would prefer it if you don't end up with so many illegitimate children this time around."

"Hey! That wasn't my fault! I don't know what got into those women!" Link complained.

"Funny, I'm pretty sure I know what got into them." Zelda replied levelly.

"I never meant to do any of that! As far as I can tell, it was a string of unfortunate accidents."

"Actually." Gannondorf said, sticking his head out the window, "Those weren't accidents. Or didn't you notice that I won that time? It's amazing what an ounce of Great Fairy *cough* nectar will do to the women around you when someone douses you with it."

"So that's what that funky smell was. You bastard! I was starting grass fires trying to piss even after I jumped forward!"

"Yes, I thought it was rather clever." Gannondorf chuckled, "So, any plans anybody wanted to share this time? I'm going with the usual, except I'm going to try to keep a hold of Nabooru this time... some willing nookie will be a nice change."

"Nothing unusual. We'll see what happens." Link replied, still glaring at Gannondorf.

"Nothing so far, this time." Zelda commented. Gannondorf shrugged and pulled his head back in to resume his conversation with the king.

Link quietly stifled his giggles, waving Zelda back into the gardens away from the window.

"Did I miss something?" Impa asked as she followed them, confused.

"I'll explain it later, Impa. Now Link, what kind of juicy revenge do you have planned?"

"Oh, it's already been carried out. I meant it as sort of a lark when I did it, inevitably bringing Ganny to do something back to me, but now, I have the excuse."

"Well c'mon, spill the beans!"

"Okay okay, well, you know how all the Gerudo are women? Last time Nabooru was looping, I suggested the reason one might assume they have no population problems if one didn't know they kidnap men. She thought she could use a little ancient Gerudo magic and run with that. It was near the end of the loop, so she didn't have time, but next time she loops... I'm going to take a trip by the desert to see whether Ganny's in for a surprise this time or at an unpredictable time in the future."

"Link, that's absolutely awful!" Zelda said, cackling with laughter.

"Hey missy, you have no right to judge. If you'll remember what you did to get me to stop cracking gay jokes every time 'Shiek' showed up."

"Yes, the fact that you're stealing my idea did cross my mind." Zelda said impishly, tapping her chin, "Well then, fair Hero, if you've no other business, I'll let you be on your way." So said, she grabbed him by the collar and laid a steamy kiss on him, which was enthusiastically returned. She finally pushed him away, the sultry look quite odd on her young face.

"Are you sure I don't have more business here?" Link asked, a particular hunger in his eyes.

"With the discussion of illegitimate children, I think we'd best be wary for now. Remember that I wouldn't have you around to throw things at, and would likely end up sitting in Ganny's castle the whole time, as it's rather hard to move about quickly while pregnant. Oh yes, what's the count?"

"One hundred twelve to ninety two. Ganny catching up, but I won't let him pass me."

"Good boy. Well, see you in seven years, Link."

"Missing you will make it the longest week and a half in my life." Link said, laying it on as he knelt before the Princess and gave her a kiss on the hand.

"Week and a half?" Zelda asked.

"Have to visit the desert, remember?"

"Oh yes, that's right. Well, leave a note with Impa if Nabooru's awake so I can taunt Ganny when I have the opportunity."

"Will do, Princess. See you in seven years."

Got somewhat inspired writing that little snippet, but this thread needed some content :p

...Earlier Insight.

--

The Triforce bound them, and they, and the sages, bound Ganondorf: they remembered, he did not. The loop was stable, yet they couldn't help but wish for a brighter future. Their powers were strong, surely they could do it?

Two children conspired. Despite it opening the way, Link had to help his friends, it was the right thing to do. Zelda told Impa she had a vision, and that she must lean over he horse's neck, riding low, when ever she rides, that it was vitally important.

Link went and stole a fishing pole. That guy was seriously angry, but giving up one of his favorite pass times was worth it.

The child climbed the drawbridge, idly swinging his legs as he sat on the thick chain. The boy had a good eye for distance and measurements.

He retrieved the last stone, and was almost bored as he approached the castle, the plan, the plan.

They both had been expecting this, Zelda was calm in the storm and flight, she and Impa both pressed closed to their mare.

Ganondorf rode tall on his stallion; his horse hands higher than the mare, the man head and shoulders taller than the sheikah. Then just shoulders taller as he ran full gallop, into a thin, nearly invisible thread. Choking, bleeding, he fell from his horse.

It wasn't the Master Sword, but the Kokiri blade was keen enough, and the king was laid low enough for even a child to reach.

ôHere we go againö Link said as he left Skyloft riding a red bird. He was clothed again in his traditional green oufit which resembled the one from Twilight Princess Hyrule. Link thought about his last loop in the Twilight Princess Hyrule when he was in the past Temple of Time when Armogohma attacked him in the hall before the Master Sword room. The battle was intense and harder without the Dominion Rod but he managed to win and obtain the mirror shard, however he still had to enter the dungeon and obtain said rod if he wanted to go to the City in the Sky. The memories of the ruined sky city returned him to the current one where he was living, Skyloft.

Skyloft and his people were a new experience for him, one as other lands and Hyrule across the time different from his home in the Ocarina of Time Hyrule had been. The different lands and Hyrules remembered him the last twenty loops where he was in all his adventures from the original to Spirit Tracks in chronologic order of release of his videogames in the prime Earth universe. He also experienced alternate Zelda universes loops coming from media like comics, manga, cartoons, webcomics and those cd-i videogames, he still had nightmares from that universe. The more recent loops were the last Twilight Princess one, Koholint, Four Swords Hyrule and the Ocarina of Time quest twice, the second was the one called Master Quest. Ganondorf had been more creative with the dungeons. ôZeldaàö The sweet memory of his princess and love made him though again in the lost girl who was important to the link he was replacing. ôI will save herö. Link had curiosity in the Hyrule before his time and all others and how the sword he had will become his trusted Master Sword. Link left the bird and let himself fall in the sky towards Hyrule and a new quest.

While this is a lovely snippet, I'm assuming this fits into all the other loops, so how would Link have children?

Unless Ganondorf somehow got all the women Link sexed impregnated after the fact with some other poor shmuck's sperm.

That said, I realise this isn't a very indepth topic, given the lack of posts, but how would the time loops work around the 'split timeline' that the LoZ series has?

Randomly, of course. And I don't really care about loops canon, I just write what I think is funny. And Link ending up surrounded by six-year-olds and their angry mothers going :help: is a hilarious image.

Seconded. About the Zelda timeline, as screwed it is except for the direct conections between some games, you shouldn't care about it in the loops. There is a loop with Ranma and Link in WindWaker, in it Link told Ranma he had it as bad as Ichigo, looping at any point of his universe timelina. In my post, OoT/MM Link randomly loops in the quests of his earlier or later incarnations, sometimes with his Zelda and Ganondorf included in their own rols.

I am curious.

What happens if Link was sent to a Loop with the 'My Little Pony, FIM' group, and played Epona's song, some are Hypnotized?

"Come now, once hero," hissed the purple, heart shaped wooden mask as it bobbed up and down. Its glowing orange eyes fixed on the angular, Hylian looking mask clenched in the child sized grip of the Kokiri raised Link. Small blue eyes glared defiantly back at the floating mask that whispered out a laugh at the idea of a child being able to beat him. However, if he were to admit it, he was a bit wary of the fire that raged beneath the surface. The place that the Defeater of the King of Evil remained in memory and experience in the boyÆs subconscious.

"Even if you were the Hero that traveled throughout time to save the kingdom of Hyrule, that was years ago. You have no Master Sword, no Mirror Shield, boy. The only chance you have of beating me is that Fierce looking mask that you hold in your hands." At the mention of the item, Link glared at it, almost trying to figure out why the Demon was so insistent on him putting it on.

Majora leaned forward as he blonde child began to bring the odd looking mask up to his face, a small bit of hesitation making his hands shake. A small, high laughter arose from the mask as his he lowered himself down LinkÆs level, hoping to see the transformation up close.

ôJust one thing,ö interrupted he small childÆs voice as curiosity dripped from his lips. ôWhy are you so insistent that I put this on? If it is as powerful as the children out by the tree say it is, then why do you want me to put it on? WouldnÆt something so powerful beat you easily?ö

If the wooden mask could have smiled, it would have made it a smug one. ôThat Mask you are holding, boy, is one that I have clashed with many times before. I am simply curious to see what kind of a deity such a thing will make out of you. The Hero in Green, a God! How exciting!ö

ôIs that it?ö The voice slipped from conversational to freezing cold death, destruction, kill kill kill. ôYou want to see me as a god?ö If there were such a thing as a heart that resided within a piece of wood, it surely would have broken as a loud crack filled the air. Link broke the small mask in two and threw it to the floor. ôI need not a mask that exhumes more putrid evil that your own to prove myself as a God, Demon.ö With a smirk, Link leapt back as the furious Mask charged, chanting in a low voice.

ôIn brightest day; in blackest night; no evil shall escape my sight; let those who worship evilÆs might; beware my power Green LanternÆs Light!ö

They aren't all bad.. And by this point a good 80% of all loops are crossovers..

There's a reason that 75% of them are bad.
True enough.. But at least 60% of those involve Ranma... Do the math ;)

I'd rather not. When you have that many percentages mating they tend to get unruly and your results are never quite what you expected.

But since you insisted...

80% = .80
75% = .75
60% = .60

The way I read it was that 80% of loops are crossovers. 75% of crossover loops are bad. 60% of those bad loops involve Ranma.

The math then is .80 x. 75 x .60 = 36% of all loops are bad Ranma crossover loops.

What does this actually mean for this thread?

Brought to you by an overly tired math geek

I still don't think the FDMask has an evil attribute. It's the "bad guy" according to Majora's viewpoint, not by any objective standard.

The Fierce Diety is more of a blood thirsty battle god then a demon in my opinion. It craves to fight with a strong opponent which Majora tends to be for it as everything else would be an insta-kill to it.

It called the Fierce Deity for a reason. So yeah, that mask transforms Link into even more of adrenaline addicted battle maniac then he already is.
