Also, Cartoon Network is showing commercials for Firebreather, a CGI animation movie that's based off of the comic of the same name. Main character is the half human son of his worlds equivalent of Godzilla.

I remember that cartoon. Had one of the greatest guitar riffs I'd ever known when I was a kid.

The way I understand Avalon High though, it's the opposite. Arthur & Co. reincarnated as high school students in the modern world, instead of high school students going back to the middle ages or something.

Even if it's a vaguely similar basis, eighteen years is enough of a time gap to forgive them for using the same subject matter.

Seriously, this sounds like just about every shitty high school AU fic ever written. I mean, good lord, it must have taken every ounce of creative muscle to think of this one!

...for the record, I have never cringed that much before in my life. I don't care if it's one of the worst movies I have ever watched, bad fanfiction, or the entirety of Twilight, both books and films - the minute and forty-something I just watched makes all of that look like works of genius.

Shame on you, Disney. Whoever the hell green-lighted this needs to be given a swift kick to the junk and be forced to eat the script. And however many hours after it has been digested, the excrement.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go take a shower. I must cleanse myself of the putrid stink and filth I have just witnessed...

This one looks like "Arthur" is gonna be a girl who is going to deny what is happening and essentially be the one holding the idiot ball the entire damn movie.

And its going to be a hit with the kiddies.

Judging by wiki, if it is based reasonably closely off the book then the girl isn't the Arthur-equivalent. Of course, that's a big IF.
