Nasuverse Type-Moon Lemon Contest 3

Thing is, while I have nothing against yaoi, and have read a few well-written ones, chances are, if people are reading fics in a lemon contest, they are there for the HAWT SEXXOR and will read stories according to their own sexual preference. And, keeping in mind this is totally my opinion, since the majority of people who are going to read this are guys, chances are their preferences aren't going to be m/m.

(And seriously, I'd like to see a yaoi lemon in a Type-Moon contest.á I've seen Type-Moon yuri and yuri futa out the ass, but not any yaoi.á Give me Archer/Gilgamesh Hate Sex, or Lancer piercing Archer's Raw Ass with his Gay Bulge.)
My HEAD!! The images, the IMAGES!!!

 :sick3: :rip1:

Do remember that winner is determined by vote. Do you honestly see people voting for that, no matter how well it's written?
I don't see people reading it in the first place.
You know, there are girls in the fandom too and they do like that sort of thing.
no girls on internets.

But ironically most of the people who write lemons are girls though. Yes there are a few guys that do as well, but generally, literary porn is more of a chick thing. Look at Romance Novels and how well they sell.

I know Pernoth was written by a girl last year, and I wrote "Second Chances" and I'm a girl.

However, on a note of crack pairings . . .

I'd like to see Aoko/Kotomine.

She'd make him feel something.

Eh, I know that a couple of people are finished with their entries already for the most part, some just waiting for prereaders to send the fics back to them. Some of them are now contemplating writing second fics.

Personally, I've mostly just spent my time thinking out the rough outline of the plot and events for my entry, trying to work out any of my hangups, but since all my fics before have been written the day of or the day before submission, I'm not too worried about running out of time yet.

So... I'm in need of a beta reader. My entry still isn't complete. School made sure to destroy that free writing time. Add distractions on top of that and well...

Still, I have around half done and I'm planning to have the rest done in the next few days. To save time, I decided I may as well ask for help now.

If anyone want, I can send what I already have done. It would probably take less time to correct than just the full story in one go.

What I mainly ask for is grammar correction and problem-spotting. last year, I've seen that my grammar could have been far better and it probably killed a number of votes I could have had. I have no wish to have that problem again this year.

Confidentiality is a must, but I suppose everyone know that.

If interested, just tell me where to e-mail at. Thanks in advance.

Edit: Got one.

Mine's getting close to being finished, but I'm debating having an epic battle at the end or not . . . I think the version that'll get posted on Beast Lair, here and FFnet will, but the one for the lemon contest probably won't. Simply because the story is going to be over 60+ pages when I'm finished . . .

Is prereading contest fics a common practice?

What I meant was, does this violate the rules of of the competition? Judging from your answer I'm going to guess no.

IIRC, the rule for anonymity is only to prevent identification of the entry to large groups of people. F1 does not count pre-reading as mass-identification.

The point of annonymity is to ensure that there is not another ordeal where someone rigs the voting by going out and telling people, "Hey, this fic is mine, go vote for it."

Prereading is just having one person look over your work so that you can ensure that your entry is in top shape before submission. It is only to ensure quality, not to get people to vote for you.

So, you have until tomorrow.

I know of two people frantically working on their stories to get them in on time.

Unfortunately, I could not think up a plot I wanted to write this contest. So I'm not joining. I'm rather sad about it actually.
