Has anyone seen it yet? I saw the first ep. and it was ok. I see a lot of Teen Titans influence and some Deadpools "breaking the 4th wall" jokes too. I don't like the look of the humans in the show. I give to a few for eps. to see what will happen but right now I am feeling so-so about it.

The humor is quite off the wall. I like the cutaways they did with some of them. Still, a bit too much. *shrug*

Sorry for the necro but I just had to post this. I just watched every single episode and all I could think about is how similar it seems to Hawk's Spiderman story.

I watched my first episode of Ultimate Spidy RIGHT after a binge of Spectacular Spiderman...

If I'd watched ultimate spidy first I'd have liked and been satisfied with it.... But after the brilliance that was Spectacular Spiderman.... I... just can't enjoy it... at all... It makes me quite sad.

You fool!

Most things don't compare well to Spectacular Spider-Man. It was awesome.

...and now it is gone... :blue:

From what i've seen so far I think this of a joke/fan service series while keeping some seriousness to itÆs storytelling. The constant stream of jokes all but disappear completely when the fights with Venom start up. So it knows when to shift gears.

Taking moments to explaining things to new fans is fine (Marvel Universe has loads of characters after all), Though some things donÆt really need to be paused so Peter can explain it. (Case in point: Peter noting he could outdo everyone in gym but doesnÆt to preserve his identity, only to have Ava repeat this to him after the Imagine Spots ended)

Also it focuses more on Spider ManÆs character not Peter ParkerÆs. Spider ManÆs the amazing super hero who throws out quips while fighting the bad guys. Peter is the super genius nerd who gets shoved into lockers. ItÆs made clear in the first few episodes Peter wants to keep those two lives separate and isnÆt happy when heÆs not getting that.

Honestly? This actually feels like a breath of fresh air compared to all the unresolved drama from Spectacular Spider Man. Maybe there going with a less drama, more humor angle in hopes in case the series gets canned they donÆt leave fans with unresolved plot threads?

Sorry for the double post, but I just watched the newest episode with Thor (FEAR THE FROG OF THUNDER!) and Loki. It was just Win. The best episode so far.

I like how the dwarf smith called out Spider Man on his joking attitude being a defense mechanism. As well as telling him he needs to start acting like a leader.

"He is the Man of Spiders" There were so many good lines in this episode.

The group really seems to becoming a team now. Though they really aren't at the level of other teenage super hero team shows yet. I think it'd help if the other four learned about Uncle Ben's death (be it from Fury, MJ, Aunt May, or Pete him self) from there they (or at least Luke, Ava, and Danny) should be able to make the connection that is the reason behind Spider Man's insistence to be solo-he doesn't want to feel responsible in case anything happens to them. (For some reason I'm expecting Tiger to smack him for that.) It'd help bridge the obvious gap between Spider Man and the rest of the Team.

Anyone else think power fist is kind of bland?

Edit: By the way, i've heard that people refuse to watch this because spiderman doesn't have red on his arms or something.
