Remember that fic I talked about in the DA thread? The one where Takato was going to get a different partner then Guilmon and I'd write a series of Oneshots?
Yeah.
First up:
Bees.
My God.
It's small and there's not much content yet; honestly, it basically just that scene from the first episode with some minor changes. But I wanted to put this out here, so here you go.

Unlocked Doors

Takato crouched in the hallway, scribbling on his notepad.
It wasnÆt lost to him that this was one of the reasons heÆd been put in the hallway before and that his teacher wouldnÆt be happy if she found him doing it when he was supposed to be getting punished for being late. It also wasnÆt lost on him that his teacher had ears like a bat; Takato would swear that she could probably hear him scribbling from inside the classroom.
Thus, it seemed inevitable that heÆd get caught sooner or later and when he was, Asagi-sensei would almost surely be upset with him.
Again.
And then heÆd be punished.
Again.
So why was he doing it anyway?
Well, in TakatoÆs mind, it seemed inevitable that heÆd get in trouble; he could admit his own faults and he knew that he was pretty much perpetually flighty. So heÆd eventually zone out in class, or slip up and say the wrong thing, or be late like he had been, and then Asagi-sensei would get upset. So if he was going to get in trouble, it might as well be for drawing.
Besides, it was a nervous habit. Some people tap their foot, some people smoke cigarettes, but Takato drew when something unnerved him.
Or when something bad happened.
Or when he didnÆt want to do his homework.
Okay, honestly, he was just procrastinating most of the time, but this time he had a reason to be disturbed.
He didnÆt understand it himself, butà
This morning, when heÆd been playing cards with Hirokazu, heÆd knocked over the box he used to hold his cards on accident. At first, heÆd just been annoyed at his own clumsiness, but he quickly became confused when heÆd noticed that there was a card he didnÆt recognize mixed in amongst the fallen cards.
A blue card.
Without thinking, heÆd swept it through his card reader.
And thatÆs where things became strange.
Electricity had cackled over the surface of the device, forcing him to let go of it and cover his face. Smoke began to leak from the card port as strange numbers and words scrolled across the screen.
He still wondered what had happened. Had he broken it?
He hoped not; if he had, heÆd have a hell of a time trying to explain how heÆd done so to his parents, much less convince them to buy him a new one.
He hadnÆt had time to worry about it, though, as the bell began to ring a moment later, forcing him to scramble off and hope that the problem was gone by the time he got back.
HeÆd still been late, though.
So he drew his worries away.
Okay, fine, he could also just be bored with standing in the hall.
ItÆs not like it really mattered one way or another, right?
ôHis color isàyellow.ö Takato murmured, taking out a colored pencil and filling in the completed sketch. ôAndàö
Takato glanced through the colors heÆd brought today.
ôGolden brown. HeÆs like Tentomon and Wormmon put together but heÆs stronger than either! His ultimate attack is-ö
ôIs that a monster?ö A voice asked.
Takato replied without thinking.
ôWhat are you saying? ItÆs a Digimon!ö
And then his brain caught up with him and his heart jumped into his throat.
ôTakatoàö Asagi-sensei said, looking down at her crouching student. ôI knew you werenÆt really reflecting on your actions.ö
Takato winced as he leapt to his feet.
ôIÆm sorry! Please forgive me!ö
