Can't blame them for moving it, I wouldn't want to go up against Cameron either.

Yeah, it specifically singles out his production company. Somehow, I read into it that he was directing, but it doesn't explicitly say that. My bad!

Warner Bros. switched release dates so that Shazam 2 instead of Aquaman 2 will get a December opening this year.
Yeah, but superhero flicks always do well, especially these days. Of course Avatar 2 will kick ass at the box office, but Shazam 2 should do fine. Video game movies rarely do those kind of numbers.

Morbius hasn't been doing too great.

It has been opined that you we're in the decline phase of the superhero/comic book genre, where we get parody/ pastiche and deconstruction, with the occasional gem.

Don't think so? Well, think about westerns. All the rage in the 50s and 60s, but in serious decline by the 70s and now you get the occasional deconstruction by Clint Eastwood or parody be Seth MacFarlane.

And honestly, I feel that I'm bored with comic book movies. I want something new.

Okay, I should have 'usually always do well'. There are always exceptions.

And I don't really care for westerns, but there are some I enjoy. The True Grit remake was a fine film, in my opinion. Far better than the original.

Your original statement would have been fine in 2018/19, but some people (mainly the normies) are getting bored with superheroes.

Fans, if properly serviced, make you a profit.
Normies make you a blockbuster.

Sony's Gran Turismo is set for release on August 11, 2023. Looks like the distributor is Columbia Pictures (owned by Sony), and it'll be directed by Neill Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium).
“Based on a true story, the film is the ultimate wish fulfillment tale of a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional race car driver.” That means the film likely pulls from the story of someone from the GT Academy, which let Gran Turismo pros compete to join a real-life racing team sponsored by Nissan from 2008 until its last iteration in 2016.
