Upcoming movie

There's a new Top Gun 2 trailer out today. It looks pretty great to be honest. Hopefully it will be out around the same time as Ghostbusters 3, so I can catch both in a single day then die happy.

Christopher Nolan's new film, Tenet:

I'm certainly intrigued enough to give it a go.

We get a good look at Taskmaster in the latest trailer. He's probably not the main villain as Iron Maiden [Melina Vostokoff] is probably in that role, and is likely working for her.

I expect him to survive the film and really hope he ends up in the next Deadpool movie..

I'm also thinking he might help set up AIM in this movie, as they are the organization he is most closely associated with in the comics despite him being pretty much completely freelance. Here he is likely working as an instructor for the new Widows, as that is a role he is often in.

He's also one of the most successful villains in Marvel. Not popular, just being good at his job, knowing when to back off, and generally adapting, avoiding getting caught, and surviving.

I'm kind of hoping this ends up being Leto's "Deadpool" movie where Suicide Squad was his "Green Lantern".

It's also nice to see confirmation that getting Sony's Spiderverse into the official MCU was apparently part of the deal that was made.

I almost guarantee that's a post credits scene with Vulture.

Warner Bros. confirms the Snyder Cut of Justice League, will be exclusive to HBO Max.

Artemis Fowl is coming out this Friday on Disney+. I don't have Disney+ and have little interest in getting it. I cannot believe how incredibly unenthusiastic I feel about the release, considering much I liked the original books (up until book 6, anyway).

It's not Artemis Fowl. I refuse to consider that steaming pile of shit Artemis Fowl. Is this how Percy Jackson fans felt!?

The thought of an Artemis Fowl movie series disintegrating after the first film like The Golden Compass or City of Bones is disheartening. Given how popular those franchises were but didn't receive any film reboots/sequels, the same will likely happen if Artemis Fowl bombs.

I thought the Golden Compass got a Netflix series?

BBC, I believe. And I heard that HBO did the international broadcast. Since Season 2 has been approved for production, I assume something's going right...but it's not a movie series. This is like saying we don't have to worry about Batman on film since his various TV and comic book incarnations are still rolling on. That's true--we don't have to, but you know...still, even so.

I certainly wouldn't mind an Artemis Fowl tv show that's more faithful to the books.

Time Paradox wasn't that great either, to be honest.

Per reports, both Benedict Cumberbatch and Jaime Foxx are joining the cast of Spider-Man 3, with Foxx playing Electro. Whether it's the same Electro from the Amazing Spider-Man films, is unknown. Stephen Strange will be stepping into the role of Peter's mentor.
