Corona seems to be doing that job just fine, sadly.

Also, per Deadline, Oscar Isaacs has been officially cast as Solid Snake in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid movie.

And to follow up on this, some new shots were released a few days ago. I don't care to provide links, but they de-sexualised Lola Bunny. The internet being the internet, you can imagine there's some anger over this ('dey terk our rabbit tiddies!').

NO! NOT THE RABBIT TITTIES! OH DEAR SWEET FURRY GOD, WHY?
- Furries everywhere

Honestly, I always liked Lola's incarnation from The Looney Tunes Show the best.

Zach Snyder's Justice League released. The consensus is it's a lot better than the Joss Whedon version, if still not outstanding.

George Miller is ready to start filming the Mad Max: Fury Road prequel in New South Wales
The Queen's Gambit and The Witch star Anya Taylor-Joy will star as a younger version of Furiosa, who was played in Fury Road by Charlize Theron.

[Chris] Hemsworth and his other costar, Aquaman and Candyman's Yaya Abdul-Mateen II, have roles that are currently undisclosed.

...

Miller and producer Doug Mitchell said the film will be released theatrically by Warner Bros. on June 23, 2023. "As you know, these films take a long time," he mentioned. "We've been preparing it for a while."

Is anyone really that excited for the MCU going forward?

No. I'm only mildly enthused for Doctor Strange 2, but nothing else.

I'm unware of who the Eternals are and their "we didn't intervene" thing means they let the Holocaust and the Snap/Blip happen. The Marvels doesn't interest me/"isn't for me" (Thanks, Brie Larson!). Black Widow is dead, so her origin story is a pointless endeavour. I'm unfamiliar with Shang Chi, and it looks like some generic modern day kung fu movie with an annoying side kick.

Thor's going to get cucked in Love and Thunder.

Spider-Man? Well, he's basically Ironboy, Jr in the MCU, isn't he?

Also, Natalie Portman hasn't turned in a single good performance in the Thor franchise.

Also, not a very interesting supporting cast.

Loki might be good, but not good enough to subscribe to Disney+ for.

Thing is, Harrison Ford is likely out for at least six weeks thanks to his shoulder injury.

Is it in poor taste to hope that those names make it onto the "Guess who's dead now" thread so we don't have to be subjected to that movie?

I still want somebody to shoot KK, so probably not.

Space Jam 2 is out on the 16th of July.

Definitely will wait until it's available on the 'flix or whatever to watch.

The rest of the MCU films released so far I've not been that interested in, but Spidey's always been my favorite character, and I loved the What If comics, so I'm really excited for this one. Even if they are using the gods-be-damned One More Day arc as part of this.

I'm excited to see it, too. It'll be a little interesting to see their take on a superhero's identity being revealed. There's been films here and there where it happens, like with Iron Man, but for somebody who's fairly politically powerless and high school age like this iteration of Peter, hopefully it is done well.
