I've never seen a college student's room be this neat...
Likely a 12-tatami room. About the size of the average small apartment in the outskirts of Tokyo.
Movie studio equipment? Holy shit! She's a camwhore!
...no, wait. She's related to Hasegawa Chisame. She
has to be.
Same size room as Keitero.
Yeah, that's about as many stuffed animals as I expected. ^_^ Typical Japanese junior high-school girl's room.
Smaller than Keitaro's room; probably six tatami. Not the size of a small apartment, rather the normal size for a single room.
Looks like Shinobu is the only one with only a six-tatami room. Either she couldn't afford the larger space (doubtful, considering how much work she does around Hinata-sou), or she feels the larger space is oppressive. To a kid, too much space can be worse than too little - makes you feel small and alone.
Looks a lot like my sister's room, not counting all the alcohol. I hope those aren't the kind of liquors that need refrigeration; I'd hate to see what Japanese weather would do to unrefrigerated Bailey's.
Hmm. This room makes me think, "Art school dropout". Non-furniture objects used as furniture, music equipment out in the open... is that object on the cinderblock an amplifier or a mini-fridge? I'm leaning toward amp, but I'm not sure.
Same size as Kei's. Not as big as it seemed in the manga, and definitely not as big as the anime showed, but still, full-grown trees?!
There is no way she's building her machines in an environment like that. She's gotta have a secret laboratory/fabrication area somewhere in Hinata-sou.
Yeah, that's pretty much exactly the way I saw it in my mind. All but Spartan, Zen-inspired simplicity. It's more or less a meditation room, with a few small touches of personality.
I wonder why she put the o-yoroi in front of the divider? Hmm... Maybe it's something of a gargoyle; an idol placed to reassure her that it'll scare the monsters aware from the place where she sleeps. She's still not a grownup, and vestiges of old childhood fears yet remain.
She seems to have taken up the tatami over most of her room, except for a small meditation space. She likely practices in her room during especially bad weather.
Now that's more like your average college student. Judging by that comic panel at the top, this is what it's like after intense cleanup. What a slob. :snigger:
That's about as many books as are in my own collection, though I doubt as many of mine are textbooks and reference material. (Hell, I don't even have an encyclopedia that doesn't involve a computer.)
Now that I think about it, this looks more like a cramped study than a living space.
Thanks again for the info!
