If Uzume beats Ikki bad enough would she be deactivated? Because Ikki is less of an adult than Musubi. It's like you combined the immaturaty of Musubi and Kuusano, the insanity of Yukari, and didn't actually give her any positive traits.

Best description of Ikki, I've ever seen so far. Uzume would just have to get Ikki away from Izumo inn, and do it. Ikki would be easy pickings after that. Though, Matsu would probably be spying on her as she does it.

Spot on description, zeebee.

Can you remove the crest of a Sekirei bonded to the same Ashikabi? That would be an interesting turn of events.

I doubt very much that Uzume would do so. She'd have to really belive that Ikki continued existence is outright harmful to ichigo in order to decide so.

And I'm not sure even if she reached that conclusion, she'd got rid of her, a beating to lay down her law yes, but not deactivating her. It would compromise Ichigo safety, and even worse, Ichigo would never forgive her if he somehow learned of it.

I'm sure she'd rather ask Ichigo to give Ikki orders to Ikki to drop it if her behaviour grew bad enough, rather than go and murder her. (even if ichigo would despise the idea)

On the other hand, Uzume would go "Silent killer" if she believed it would keep her ashikabi safe, canon has shown so.

Removal of the crest terminates them, it is as of yet unknown if their alien physiology and whatever the hell Minaka did to them allows them to be revived later on, the whole damage levels on recovery seem to nod towards that possibility as well.

There is also the fact that sekirei are linked physically to their ashikabi, and that that link goes both ways.

I am not quite sure that Ikki is as altruistic about her hard on for Ichigo to wing Nanaha, her aggressive stance might be just her own selfish wish to get her sister to be with her right now, despite what everyone else involved wants.

Hammer girls winging will make the whole situation even more complicated for Ichigo, because now he won't be able to say that he isn't willing to wing more if they react to him, not to mention that what he just witnessed and rescued her from will make him very pissed that this is not the only incident.

I do hope he gets out of his phase of not doing much beside bemoaning the loss of his irrelevant spiritual powers at this time, he is far from powerless in the real world.

Ikki's issue is that she's going by what she knows and the crap MBI fed her. She's finally in the game, reacted too strongly to her Ashikabi, Ichigo. Her reaction with Uzume is more of a shock, as why would any Sekirei not want to protect her Ashikabi with more Sekirei?

She can't understand it and to her POV Uzume is acting selfishly and putting their Ashikabi in more danger.

She also admitted in her argument with Uzume that she was wrong to push to fast, as she assumed that if she reacted Nanaha would react. She still thinks Nanaha will react, and she wants her to be Ichigo's Sekirei badly yes, but not to where some are thinking of a forced winging.

Mainly as Nanaha is Ikki's counterweight, and you already saw that she quickly got the idea of what Ikki was doing. She is not too thrilled by it. And I think we showed what happens with how Nanaha can get when Ikki's crossed a line. Ikki herself knows this, but again, expected her to react like she did.

Ghost and I did go in knowing that this could be a reader reaction after Ikki's verbal fight, but do want to point out to what we stated in her bio. The girl does wants whats best for her loved ones, its just that she gives it all she's got, and she may not realize that she may be going in the wrong direction. Besides, Yukari is still more insane than Ikki.

We did try to show at the end, with Uzume and Ikki working with the cleanup before Yashima showed up with Ichigo that Ikki had pretty much forgiven Uzume there for acting like she did through her actions(her "it can't be helped"), but it probably didn't show up well enough. It's just that when Ichigo came back with Yashima that she came to the logical but completely wrong conclusion that Ichigo wants to win this game (and her incorrect conclusions reinforced by not realizing why Uzume has such sadness on her face). We're going to have to revise that.

This is very spot on. And I know that those speaking against Ikki are viewing her through their own eyes but aren't quite thinking of how Ichigo would really take something like that happening.

Its one thing to establish pecking order, but a beating to outright termination? And to get away with it she'd have to lie to both Ichigo and Miya? And then how bad it would be if and when what really happened gets out?

This is also true. We have already seen it in-story with Yashima's cry for help. We also saw it in canon with Mikogami after Yomi was terminated.

Hammer girls winging will make the whole situation even more complicated for Ichigo, because now he won't be able to say that he isn't willing to wing more if they react to him, not to mention that what he just witnessed and rescued her from will make him very pissed that this is not the only incident.
It's an utter reinforcement of what Seo told him. And to get to an earlier question, Uzume likely does not know about this or to the extent of how much goes on with her not being a forced lackey for Higa.

I do hope he gets out of his phase of not doing much beside bemoaning the loss of his irrelevant spiritual powers at this time, he is far from powerless in the real world.
He is pretty much out of that phase, but the news was a shock to him and his thoughts quickly assumed the worst.

So, on a somewhat related note: What do you all think of the newest chapter of Sekirei, and how it could potentially affect this story?

It is interesting, though I am waiting for more just to see how we would integrate it into our story. I've already had several ideas in regards to endgame, but I want to see if this development will either force us to drop it or rearrange it(if of course we still want to go with some of our scenarios).

Though the revelations from the last few chapters with Miya do make me wonder. IIRC she mentioned something about having the Complete Sekirei Crest, not to mention the implications that Miya can be winged.

Edit: Now that I think about it, would we have it in our Extra's story that Miya's winged to Isshin?

Ikki's main flaw is the fact that she doesn't actually care about Ichigo. She's thinking about her sister and the game and assumes that Ichigo wants to win it. She doesn't think about, or care, about Ichigo's reactions to all this.

Well, while she has three dimensions that don't have to do with her chest we haven't seen them yet. But the authors should be careful. Being naive can only grant forgiveness for a certain amount of time. If she doesn't actually try connecting to Ichigo and only cares about her sister and the game then she'll never be more than a foot soldier.

One can only hope that she doesn't cause another forced winging, the next one involving no reaction.

To be fair, I can see why she wants Ichigo to wing her sister; if she doesn't, one of them is going to have to be terminated by the time the game ends, and it quite possibly might have to be her that does it. She loves her sister, and doesn't want that to happen.

We've seen headstrong sekirei who dragged their ashikabi around into battles in canon. This happened in battle for the jinki on that boat. It would be sad to see Ichigo in that position being dragged around by Ikki.

Does he have that aspirin on hand, or does he get that later?

so, are you going to post the completed chapter into Fanfiction.net anytime soon?

Also, It's just me, or Matsu is trying to get winged without reacting at all, only because Minato is one of the few options she has? Weird, I'd expect that for a Sekirei not reacting for their ashikabi would be an anathema to them.

Also, wonder if Ikki will try to recruit Yashimo into her point of view "Cranky bitch wants to hog Ichigo all to herself, she doesn't want to share, the Biatch" in order to make an united front againist her.

Hi all,

So I got something on my mind and I thought, why not put it to...

<a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7Wt4XlXUrc' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>THE PEOPLE.</a>

I had put this poll up on my Fanfic.net page about who from the Bleach crew should wing a sekirei for shits 'n giggles but here's what I got', about a good comfortable lead for one Yatsutora 'Chad' Sado and it's made me think a bit on this.

So I wonder what ya'll think, either for the main story, a side story, or a seperate side story that's not part of the main one, like the Benitsubasa one we did...

Should Chad get himself a sekirei? Or any other Bleach characters?

Ahahahahaha YES!

That or Tatsuki.

Don't care if it's in the main story or a side story, I just want to see the funny.

A side story with Chizuru winging Homura for the win. The thought of him being winged by what is essentially a lesbian version of Matsu has great potential for the lulz.

Better yet, Yuroichi/Kazehana. Yuroichi comes visiting in cat form to see Ichigo and catch up with Ichigo when she comes across Kazehana. Kazehana thinks the cat is cute and kisses it, until things go to shit, and she finds herself being winged.

Yea.

Miya/Ikkaku.

Or perhaps Homura/kon

hmm, kon and kuno. No, wait, kon/miya, perverted plushie and the proper landlady...

wonder how that would work!!!

I'll admit that I'd like to see more of Tatskui. She even has something of a competitive relationship with Ichigo (at least at the beginning of the series) which might play well in this situation.

Yea.
I'm leaning towards the human characters of Bleach and not really the shinigami. Some of these capatins would have to be around way, way before the sekirei showed up. For them to have enough sekirei genes to wing a sekirei stretches it for me.

Besides, a gigai with sekirei genes? Where did Kisuke find that? One more thing, Soi Fon would go ballistic at Kazehana hanging around her Yoruichi-sama. A sting here, a sting there takes care of the problem. (Overlill though, with respect to Kazehana's experience, I doubt she would see the little bee coming.)

If the plot you've got in mind allows for these shenanigans, go for it. If not keep it to your Extras stuff.

I just want to see Don Kanonji in this story somehow though. That'd be nice.
